I'm doing the lazy way out again in part because there were up to six of us at many meals. So other than a couple quick comments, please ask if you have questions about any meals.

We had breakfasts at Kona and 1900 Park Fare. Kona was great as always and 1900 Park Fare was a very pleasant surprise. We hadn't been in many years but I wanted to take DS2 to a character meal. Great variety including lots of fruit. Good service too. Also did takeout from BC Marketplace and Gasparilla's.

Lunches included Grand Floridian Cafe, Brown Derby, Chefs de France, Mama Melrose, the Plaza, RFC at AK, Beaches and Cream and Town Square Tavern in Clelebration. We also had a wonderful private tea at the GF but that has sadly been discontinued. Town Square Tavern in Celebration was the only new one for us. The others are all favorites and didn't disappoint. We had one of our favorite servers, Dori, at Mama's and had a chance to say hi to another, Kevin.

After a very unpleasant experience at the Plaza a couple of trips ago, we were relieved to have the typical pleasant lunch there again. Of particular note was a young man at the podium from the Netherlands, Jean Michel I think. I had his name on a piece of paper but can't find it right now!!! At any rate, he was working the podium at lunch on 1/10. My guys were playing golf after lunch that day and then we had reservations for California Grill at 6:10. They wanted to move it back just a bit to maximize golftime. I thought there was zero chance but asked anyway. He couldn't change it on the computer because of the cc charge. He tried calling CG directly but no one was answering that early. So he took our info and tried another way. He caught us as we left to tell us that he had no luck but that our reservation would be held for 15 minutes anyway. As my guys wanted 6:30 or 6:45, this was awfully close anyway and as it turns out, golf went very fast so I think we were just about on time. But I really appreciated the iniative shown by Jean Michel.:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Dinners were at GFCafe, Concourse Steakhouse, V&A, Narcoossee's, Raglan Road,Beaches and Cream, Kona Cafe, California Grill and Artist Point. V&A was as good as always as we celebrated our anniversary. Our son and his wife had prepaid our meal as a gift. My DH convinced V&A to reverse those charges but we were so touched by their generosity. While we dined there, three of our crew went to Narcoossee's. They felt it had returned to the good old Narcoossee's in both cuisine and service. Unfortunately, the prices are so high that it is off my DH's list now. Again our son and his wife treated. Can you tell I'm proud of them?;)

California Grill was great. We all really enjoy that restaurant with the exception of our daughter who had only wanted to join us for dessert. She changed her mind and is now a fan as well. She had the pork tenderloin with polenta and couldn't believe how good it was.

Well, I've gone on longer than I meant to do but ask if you have any questions.

Thanks for the reviews! :thumbsup2 So, did you happen to get any pictures of your tea? I was also wondering how your Concourse Steakhouse dinner was? When we went in October, it was terrible. We felt the same way as your group about Narcoossees. It was wonderful, but very overpriced. So was Yachtsman's. California Grill remains at the top of our list, too - congrats on converting your daughter!

P.S. Happy be-lated Anniversary!

Oops, somehow I double posted???

Thanks for the good wishes, Michelle.

My husband did take pictures of our tea but I don't know if he took any that have neither my family or our wonderful server in them. As we didn't ask her permission, I wouldn't post any of her and I'm far too chicken to post any of our family.

But I don't have a clue how to do so anyway!:rotfl:

Concourse was just my husband and daughter as our elder son and his wife were running the half marathon the next morning and hoped for a good sleep. DS2 was worn out and just wanted to eat in the room so he and I did that. Anyway, Concourse is a no return for my DH. I've seen a number of posts about meat coming out completley the wrong temp and that happened to my daughter. She ordered prime rib medium rare and the first time it came out "gray" according to my DH.:rotfl2: His steak was just OK. She did have a wonderful smoothie and I guess service was Disney fine as I heard no complaints about that.

Yes, we've felt that Narcoossee'ss prices have been out of line for 3 or 4 years now. This trip, we also cancelled YSH because the prices are so high compared to the quality we've had there over the years. Ditto Artist Point after this trip. The restaurants that are now called signature have been our typical dinner choices over the years but my husband who is a more careful consumer than I has had it with many of them. Prices do go up of course but for now we'll be sitting out many of the signature restaurants. We have many really good restaurants in our area that charge far less then WDW does now. Of course, you always pay for location but still....

Yes, I'm glad our daughter likes CG again. She did for many years but a couple years ago she started having difficulty finding dishes she liked. Of course she never tried the pork before the steak despite being a steak fan. :confused3 But I'm glad she joins the rest of us in considering it a must do for our family.

BTW, I don't often read trip reports but saw part of yours yesterday. V&A and V&A Chef's Table in one trip...wow! I'm looking forward to reading about your Christmas Eve dinner at the Chef's Table.:surfweb:

Sounds like you had a wonderful time!
