Disney cruising Down Under?

Wish They would release pricing really keen to do the 4 night Auckland to Brisbane then spend a week on the Gold Coast before flying Home.

I've seen people saying they are pre registering their interest, but I can't find where to do that 🤷🏼‍♀️ I've pre registered with flight Centre, but I'd really prefer not to have to book through them.

Has anyone here pre registered with Disney?

I have just called Disney.

Platinum members will be able to register from the 27th everyone else from the 29th on their website or through and agency.

I registered with Flight Centre and a travel agent that was referred to me by a friend. However, unclear if they can book on my behalf on 28/9 when bookings open for Silver Castaway Club members - so might book directly through the Disney Cruise Line website. I really wish, like Royal Caribbean, that Disney charges in AUD, not USD and includes the gratuities in the fare. I am prepared for the extreme cost of these cruises and whilst interest is high, I believe most might not pull the trigger once the booking opens for Castaway Club members depending on level from 26/9 and then to open to all come 29/9.

I’m so excited but also wish I knew opening day prices already. I’m eligible to book with gold members and have blocked out my work calendar early that morning to try to book immediately to get the best price. Despite that I worry it will still be too expensive.

As for people’s questions about who to book through. I personally wouldn’t use Flight Centre. I’m going it alone but if I needed to use a travel agent (I would if I wanted one of the repositioning cruises as I’ll be travelling for work those days), I’d go with Dreams Unlimited or another US based Disney cruise specialist agency. They know the product and Disney’s systems and could get it right in a way I wouldn’t trust a major Australian general TA to do.

I agree I will try to go directly to Disney.

It's really unreasonable to give a sale date without actually prices...

I agree with you. This will be the first time for many Australian travel agents to be booking a Disney cruise on opening day. It would concern me that due to this the process they would be slow and I could miss out on the cabin I would like or early dinning ect. At the moment it is also hard to getting a booking to see a travel agent as they are still working through airline credits and continual flight time changes for customers.

Yep but this is what DCL do upon every release. Prices are posted on the boards and that's how people know what they cost. Disney did give an idea of pricing in their PDF which is better than how they usually handle it.

Thanks, even though I mentioned I registered with Flight Centre and an agent I was referred too, I agree that they don't know the product or the Disney systems. The agent I was referred to mentioned they will be having 3 sets of webinar training! I did contact Dreams Unlimited and they have a booking request already set up in their system for the Aussie/NZ cruise dates with all the relevant info needed, so I put my request in. If that doesn't work out I will just book direct when the bookings open for Castaway Club members.

Do you know if booking with Dreams unlimited you still get the same customer protection cover you would get as from booking with an Australian company? Similar to booking from the UK or booking from the usa
