CM Celebrity Encounters

I checked Jordin Sparks lap bar.

Watched Paris Hilton and Benji Madden ride the attraction twice.

Was on B side when Miley and Billy Ray Cyrus rode A side (never saw her, but half the building did).

Saw Lance Berkman on two different occasions

Roy Williams and several other football players during ESPN the weekend

Scottie Pippen

Someone from Metallica, with his family (I don't know his name).

Every single Disney Channel star you can think of.

Thats all I can remember now. Here's something interesting: Miley Cyrus was "back-doored" and carted around everywhere in her own van, while Paris and Benji walked around the parks and up the Fastpass line just like everyone else.

I'm super jealous about lance berkman. I'm a HUGE astros fan and hoping that during spring training i'll either run into one of them at one of the parks or something or be able to go to a game. a girl i know ran into craig biggio at rainforest cafe at animal kingdom a couple of years ago...so not fair.

Think about it tho: That was right after the "photo scandal" with Miley. It was a good way for her to enjoy the park without being faced with someone wanting to know about the scandal.

I am just so jealous of all of you! I was never in the CP (although I wish I would have done it before I graduated!) but I have been to WDW 16 times and have never seen a celebrity! And I am pretty obsessed with celebs.

Ok, I lied. At least 6 years ago if not more, we were there when a girl group called Nobody's Angel were putting their handprints in cement and releasing their CD. At the time, my sister and I knew who they were and were really excited, but I don't know if they are even around anymore! I just have a few pictures of them. But I have never met anyone...and as a park guest I am allowed to ask for pictures if I ever do! :woohoo:

:cool1: i saw michael jackson once when a couple years ago...everybody was following him. The bodyguards were rude though. i tried to take a pic but they wouldn't let me.

I heard he used to dress up as a woman and walk around Disneyland...Or as an old man...But either way....He wouldn't ride any of the rides and just watched where he could...Creep-pay...Or it could be because his nose would fall off again...:confused3

When I was on my CP I saw all these people on the ride:
-Miley Cyrus and her dad
-Kyle from "Corey in the House" (he thanked me for checking his lapbar, lol)
-The janitor guy from Scrubs
-Paris Hilton
-Jonas Brothers
-Cheetah Girls
-Cast of "Suite Life of Zack and Codey"
-Nick Lachey (I actually got to talk to him, he was so nice!)
-Some sports stars during ESPN time
-And we had a prince from some country that I can't remember the name of.

Lot's of people, only interacted with Kyle and Nick but it was pretty cool to see these people =).

I'm curious, I know you can't ask for autographs and pictures as a CM, but what if you are off the clock and out of costume? Do the same rules apply?

Probably not. But for the most part, I would just leave them alone. They are on vacation after all. And probably want to be left alone.

I had some great encounters over at Festival of the Lion King back in 05-06! My list includes:
*Jason Alexander
*Orlando Pace
*Brian Littrell (Sp?)
*Grant Hill
*Star Jones

I'm sure there are more that I'm forgetting. Orlando Pace is amazing in person! He came up to me and put his hands on my head and was making fun of me for being so short (I'm 5' he is 6'8"). I had no idea who he was at the time!

Joey Fatone (NSYNC) rode the Great Movie Ride at least twice while I was there on my CP. He's a really normal guy. He waits in the regular line, with out a Guest Relations person.

I also saw plenty of other celebrities during ESPN the Weekend and the High School Musical Cast sat in our breakroom while they were waiting to film something.

I'm a big backstreet boys fan and have always wanted to meet him. i think he comes across as so genuine and like such a nice guy! His son is way adorable, too:) How exciting for you that you got to have an encounter with him!:goodvibes

And for the poster who mentioned Joey Fatone, It really surprises me that he wouldn't have a guest relations person with him! I respect him a lot for doing it 'the normal way'. And even though Nsync's not nearly as popular as they once were, i could see that situation getting out of control in a hurry if it wanted to! I'm glad everything seems to work out for him though:)

The week before my bday last year (July), Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie visited AK and rode Dinosaur. Former CM's told me while in line.

Hulk Hogan's frequent near my area (Clearwater) but only seen him twice. He usually has his days. His boy Brian "Nasty Boy" Knobbs shops in my store (Publix) all the time he's a cool guy. Never met John Travolta though he comes to the area alot sine Downtown Clearwater's Scientologyland lol.

Let's see...
so far on my program, I've seen Justin Guarini walking down Main Street at MNSSHP, Jon and Kate and their twin girls at MNSSHP (in Confectionary), one of my fellow CPs rang up Mischa Barton in Confectionary, another one of my fellow CPs saw and rang up Ruben Studdard's photos in Expo Hall, Shaq walked through Confectionary, and a while ago, my friend rang up Brian Urlacher in Confectionary.
Confectionary is a popular one with celebs, i guess. haha! But it's been fun, and I have 2 more months left :)

Wow! It seems like celebrities are there decently often. Do CM ever get the opportunity to work with them or do you all just happen to see them in the parks? If so, that would be pretty cool.....

CPs would not be able to escort them around (as they are given GR people, and CPs can't work in Guest Relations). Usually it is just luck of the draw running into them in the parks/resorts.

I would love to see Jon and Kate with the kids! I'm such a big fan of them!

when I worked at FOLK I was able to hang out with some celebs and take pictures for them when they had meet and greets with the cast afterwards! It was always fun and most of them are so down to earth!

At my presentation one of the campus reps said that he was a Monorail Pilot and had to kick Nick Hogan out of the cockpit section because he was drunk. what a classy guy! (that was before he crashed and went to prison)

My daughter called today all excited and said she was at Hollywood studios on the Rockin Roller coaster and Rod Stewart sat right behind her. She said he seemed really nice and she couldn't get over how small he is. She's only 5.2 and he wasn't much taller.

Lance Bass or whatever his name is came into the gift shop she's at and she got to meet him. This was back in October.

is it safe to assume she bought the picture with him it it or was she in the back of her car with him in the car behind her?

Looks like you work on MSE! I was a CP in fall of 2002 and I worked there, so much has changed since then. Expo hall was not part of our string of stores when I was there. I never saw 1 celebrity which I found a little surprising, but nonetheless I had an amazing time on my program and miss it every day!
