Here's what I got:

A cool card with Santa and surfboards!
A Flowers of Hawaii calender (my 9yr old DD fell in love with this!)

Now in the stocking:
3 large cookie cutters: a Christmas tree, a gingerbread man and a bell(these are great! I'm going to have a blast decorating those cookies!)
Christmas tree shaped candle
a magnetic picture frame
snowman hand towel
set of 4 holiday candles (too cute!)
fun santa socks (these had me stumped as to how to open it and what it was! - we got a giggle out of that!)
red, white and green fun socks with "toes" ( I think DD is wearing them now!)
a bag of gummy bears (YEAH!!!! )
a bag of banana macadamia nut flavored pancake mix (DH will LOVE this!! )
a cool candy cane pen (I love fun pens!)
on the stocking was a beautiful Christmas tree pin (I'll be wearing that on my coat soon!)

I finished the rest of my shopping today, just need to get a postal package to put it all in. I'll post it out on my way home from work one afternoon next week if there isn't another postal strike on (which according to the news this morning isn't going ahead now, if it does go ahead the strike will most likely be all next week!!)

Welcome to the world of international mailing. The first time I did this exchange posting my stocking to the USA cost me $70!!!! I printed off my mailing for my package today so I could post it out on Monday. It cost me $35.

Karen, did you weigh it on scales then print it off? I'm worried ill get the weight wrong.

You should be okay, it might just take abit longer to come through. Although he strikes have been cancelled for next week.

Yes I weighed it on my kitchen scales, then typed that weight into the post office website and it gave me options as to which service to use. Then I paid on line and printed the postage off. I'll drop my package off at the post office after work on Monday.

I called in at the post office on the way home from work. I sent it airmail so it should arrive in about 5-7 days (probably nearer 7 as our postal system is in a mess after the week of strikes!!)
