It is suggested you arrive for most reservations about 15 minutes before the reservation. You may get right in at that time, or have to wait when beyond the reservation time to get in. At BOG for lunch you would get in a line to wait to go to the paying computer stations. If you preorder your food you will get in a shorter line.If I have a noon reservation at BOG, will they admit me at 11:50AM?

BOG is well-known for telling folks who attempt to check in early to not come back before 5 minutes before their reservation time.

Preordering just helps take less time at the ordering and paying kiosks. There will be a shorter tine for those who have preordered because they don't have to take so much time to choose what they want. The kitchen does not begin to prepare your food until you pay the Cast Member at the computer terminal. You can make changes at the last minute. ( Here's a suggestion.... get a strawberry cupcake )If I preorder, how do they handle the timing? For example, if my reservation is at noon, do I preorder for a noon seating, or 12:15? I'm not sure how long I'll have to wait in line.
I apologize for the dopey question ... I've never eaten at BOG before and I've never pre-ordered food before, so I just don't understand the process.

1) Tusker House was the same way.
2) However, two weeks ago, they were instructed to go back to the 15-minute-prior-to-ADR check-in rule.
3) Too many complaints . . . especially when things backed-up and there were waits of 25-40 minutes beyond the ADR time.
They need to change the email confirmation letters too, then. They still state "plan to arrive 5 minutes before your reservation time" on them.
