There are only 12 Lifetime movies this year.

However, they have a star-studded line-up this year!

(Hear that Hallmark? Less movies, but better quality of stars.)

"The festive fun officially kicks off on Nov. 18 with the wedding-themed movie Christmas Plus One, starring Emily Alatalo and Corey Sevier, and will continue each winter weekend all the way until Dec. 23. Additionally, Lifetime Movie Network will also release its own new spooky thriller, Silent Night, Fatal Night. :scared: [. . .]
"Grey's Anatomy alum Sarah Drew, who wrote and starred in last year's holiday hit Reindeer Games Homecoming, is bringing a bit of country to Christmas this year, serving as writer and executive producer on Adam Senn and Jana Kramer's A Cowboy Christmas Romance.
Tia Mowry and the Cake Boss himself, Buddy Valastro, have teamed up as both executive producers and costars in Yes, Chef! Christmas.

On Dec. 2, Loni Anderson, Morgan Fairchild, Linda Gray, Donna Mills, and Nicollette Sheridan are coming together for Ladies of the '80s: A Divas Christmas, which follows the quintet as they "shoot the final Christmas episode of their long-running soap opera." And, if that wasn't good enough, the film's title song is performed by none other than '80s icon Tiffany.

I'm sad that my favorite new guy, Jake Epstein, is not in any and there are no Hannukah-themed movies. I'm not jewish but I enjoy learning about all the different traditions and he's just very likable.

@disney4us2002 Turns out Jake Epstein isn't on Hallmark this season as Lifetime scooped him up!

On Sunday, November 26 at 8 p.m.
Jake Epstein and Paniz Zade star in Laughing All the Way.
Description: Weeks before Christmas, ghost writer and aspiring comedian Aubri (Paniz Zade) is placed in charge of the Christmas variety show, just in time for famous Hollywood comedian Mike Baxter’s (Jake Epstein) returns to the club that launched his career.

How did I never realize that The Christmas Secret and The Christmas Note are related films?

What? They aren't related. They were written by the same author with the theme of finding something from long ago. In one story it's a note. The other it's a locket. But, the two stories themselves are totally separate. Am I missing something?

I'm soooo happy that Hallmark has reached back and is running some "older" movies this year. I've managed to catch 3 or 4 that I didn't see the first time out.

"Older" as in at least 9 years old, and not re-running those movies from the last couple of years multiple times.

I'd like to see them go even older, if they could.

Hoping this is the influence of the soon-to-be new CEO who will take over in the new year. 🤞

They're part of a series (Christmas Hope) by the same author. I think that's what's being referred to.

For those who have Hulu, there are two movies that premiere today:

A Christmas Frequency stars Denise Richards as a morning radio show host, who is struggling in both her personal life — secretly separating from her husband (James Hyde) — and at work, with the ratings of her show dropping. When she’s set up on a series of blind dates as a way to save the show, things get interesting with one man (Jonathan Stoddard) is both a man she’s actually interested in and someone who has also applied to be her date.

Reporting for Christmas follows Mary (Tamara Feldman), a serious reporter forced to take a break from her political beat to write a puff piece about a small-town toy company. While on assignment, she meets the handsome and charming toy manufacturer Blake (Matt Trudeau).

It is filmed in lovely Historic Downtown Long Grove, IL, called the fictional town of Brunswick, Iowa for the movie.

A Christmas Frequency and Reporting for Christmas will also be made available on Apple, Vudu, Amazon and GooglePlay.

Yes, both involve Betty and her bakery.
In The Christmas Note, the mom of the woman looking for her lost sibling, worked for Betty. The baseball pennant she finds in her moms stuff, is the same one hanging on the wall in Bettys, in The Christmas Secret. I then assume that the baseball boy in the photo played baseball with Bettys son, from the Secret.

The question would be - is Betty's Bakery (and it's accoutrements) in both books? Or did they just reuse a set from the first movie (Secret) in the second (Note)?

 Wow!

Okay, I looked up The Christmas Hope. Hallmark did make that book into a movie. Unfortunately, it was back in 2009. While Hallmark is showing some older movies, that one may be too far back. And it looks like it could have been during the "Hall of Fame" days, as it stars Madeleine Stowe, James Remar and Ian Ziering. We know Hallmark won't show those. It might be streaming on one of the free streaming platforms that shows the older Hall of Fame stuff.

The author, Donna VanLiere, also wrote Christmas Town with Candace Cameron Bure. I like that movie. That was just on a few days ago. It deals with trying to find an old angel ornament that has been lost.

A bakery shows up in the Christmas Town movie too! And there is also something on the wall that proves to be important.

I never read the books, but Betty herself is in both movies, as she is the long lost mother in law in the one movie. And the employer of the mother in the other. The aprons she wears are the same in both movies also.

Well now I have to look into these too LOL

Betty is in Christmas Town too! She is played by Beth Broderick. And she owns the bakery. 🍪
