Closing Time!

Hahaha...yeah, when it shows up on your dashboard you can't miss it!
Also odd question when trying to ask about loading points in the chat I can’t even get to a rep it keeps telling me to call. Anyone know how to get around this?

I don't know how to get around that, I just called to get my points loaded. It didn't take too long.

Contract with a deed recording date of 6/21 just added to membership today. I've read so many posts regarding calling member services to request for the points to be loaded.
When I called today, I was told that the points aren't ready to be loaded and to check back in 2-3 days.
Does anyone have any insight into this?

Once the contract is loaded into the account I was able to call in the next day to get the points loaded (tried twice with M/S chat and they both said I have to wait 2-3 weeks..).

Just use the chat function the next day and keep trying once or twice a day after and eventually someone with the right authorization or the patience will follow up and check for you. If they respond with any generic response like it will take xx weeks then just close out go to the next person.

hope you are able to get your points loaded soon~

What time do the emails start to go out? LOL this suspense is killing me!!! My deed was recorded 06/22 :)

I believe in case where the contract ownership changed then MS can help bank the points even after the deadline (this is what I have seen in other post) so no need to panic

Still, hopefully the contract shows on your account soon!!! Good luck
My first resale contract took a long time to close (slow sellers) & when I finally had it I only had a couple of days to try & use that year’s allotment of points - I called to try & get a one time exception to bank the points & MS said no way. Fortunately when I made my offer I assumed that those points were worthless,
normal these days to wait past 21 days for closing documents?
For most closing companies for a WDW resort no, for http://magicvacationtitle.com/ yes, they typically take 3-4 times as long as every other title company to generate those pro forma documents 🤷‍♀️.

its not right that some companies are so on the ball and the one you mentioned is so much longer. We are the sellers and its really making us realize we wont use them for our next purchase. And what recourse do we have if they take past 30 days? Can we cancel the sale?

Neither party 🎊 can cancel the sale until the contract closing date passes. After that, it depends.

As a seller, you may still owe commission to the broker. I think it would depend on the reason it didn’t close on time.

If it is a buyer default, my guess is you can walk away. But I don’t know. It’s a question for the title company.

Finally!! Soooo close now. Emails came in about 1.5 hours apart with activation code and membership number. Also, I mistakenly thought the deed was recorded on 6/21 🥴

Our deed was recorded on the 23rd, so I’m hoping tomorrow is the day for me! The only good thing about my constant checking for my new contract is that I’ve been more diligent about stalking, and have picked up most of the nights I needed for our trip in september

I'm trying to formulate my closing post. I'm stuck on title company, I returned my closing docs and balance to Jeffrey C. Sweet, Attorney at Law. Would that then be the title company?
