Favorite DVC Lobby?

I think the Wilderness Lodge lobby is more visually impressive but when we used to check into BLT at the Contemporary lobby it gave a special feeling of really being part of Disney World and all of its connection to the early days.

I'm a brand new DVC member and haven't actually visited EVERY DVC resort yet, but the first time I walked into Jambo House my jaw literally dropped. I really love the Grand Californian lobby too.

Poly, Grand Floridian, Beach Club. The smells! Nothing beats the Poly but Grand Floridian edges out Beach Club by a hair thanks to Basin White and the superior restaurants in the building.

What is your favorite DVC Lobby for whatever reason? I'm including the attached resort lobbies (Contemporary, etc). I think for me it is Wilderness Lodge. I am sucker for the National Park theming and it's done so well.
Making a totally different move then others here. BCV lobby (not BC lobby). It’s quiet and peaceful. Serene music, the east coast beach theming, and the clean smell. Get a cup of coffee and relax while I wait for the kids to wake up. Heaven.

I have been to Aulani and don’t remember the lobby much? I remember walking in and going straight outside, which is spectacular. I don’t remember there really being much of a lobby? Like if I want to sit and hang out, there isn’t really much space to do so indoors? I would hang Out outdoors as much as possible, so maybe I’m just forgetting?

Haven’t been to many but we loved Aulani’s. The outdoor balcony has nice seating including a large daybed sofa that we chilled in while our 4 yo napped in the stroller. Love the open air feel it has with the large doors open and the ukulele player and hula dancer were nice. Very peaceful and relaxing.

Our daughter loved the menehune around the resort/lobby; the kids area by the checkin desk and area in front of the gift shop had really neat hidden details to check out.

Even when the lobby was busy on Sunday evening it was pleasant. A few days of our stay were abnormally windy which wasn’t the best in the lobby, but apparently it is very uncommon and this spring was just weird on Oahu.

Overall loved that it felt grand but not too large which made it feel more intimate. That feeling really jives with the whole feel at Aulani since you often bumped into the same guests/families while you were there which was nice.

The Aulani lobby is more of an open airy lobby since the climate allows for it in Hawaii. You wouldn’t do that in Florida due to the heat and humidity. The balcony straight outside I would consider a part of the lobby since you can only access it from the lobby. Overall there isn’t a ton of space inside the lobby but I think it is meant to feel more intimate than the resorts at the parks. The scale really brings you close to the cast members, performers, and other guests which is really the vibe in Hawaii.
