***Official September 2022 Thread***

Anyone having luck picking up reservations as we get closer? I am trying to get a dinner reservation at Hollywood & Vine this Friday night. My daughter signed up for a paid app and we are using a couple of free ones but nothing has come up. I have been looking for openings a day or two ahead to see if things are opening up. Nothing is showing up for dinners. What service are you having luck with? Thank you.
How many people are you looking for? When booking for two, I found some restaurants have loads more availability for three people.

Thank you. Hopefully something will open up. How do I add a park day? We were originally not planning to arrive until late Friday evening but now our plans changed and we will be there around lunch so we want to go to Hollywood Studios. We do not have a park ticket for Friday. I want to switch from a 7 day ticket to an 8 day ticket. Can I do that? I can’t find anything on the app or website. Any idea how much that would be for 3 adults? Thank you so much!

I had to do this yesterday. I called to get the tickets changed because I wanted to make sure we kept our prepaid Genie+. It was done easily on the phone only paid the difference. I was adding 2 days for a total of 7 days and it cost $50 each ticket (we have park hoppers with Genie +).

Hi Everyone
We arrived at the Grand Floridian on Saturday. Very beautiful resort - our first time staying here with the Disney discount we used. We ate at Ohanas on Saturday evening. It was good but not like it was in the past. We enjoyed our meal but being honest I thought the food was not quite up to what it had been. Last night we did StoryBook dinning at Artists Point Wilderness Lodge and it was good as well as the children loved seeing Snow White, Grumpy and Dopey as well as the Evil Queen. It was a fun experience. Today was our first park day at MK.
We arrived at 0715 opening at 730- taking advantage of the early entry. Here is a list of what we did.
Buzz LightYear(2 times) People Mover Speedway Space Mt all by 840 Walk on
Tea Cups Pooh Peter Pan Small World Carousel all in an hour and a few minutes.
Haunted Mansion Pirates Jungle Cruise(Genie) Took a short break all in the next hour
Rode Thunder Mt 2 times walk on Splash was down so no riding today Aladdin Ate lunch at Totuga Tavern in Adventure Land -it was quiet not but 2 other tables besides us so pleasant there rode Space 2 more times it was walk on (I did not and watched the 16 month old)
Got a Mickey Pretzel went in the Emporium for a few minutes and decided it was too hot to stay any longer that was at 1:45 and got on the monorail and now at GF
We also had a break while the 7 year old went to BBB. It was a very easy day for us with no waiting.
On Saturday night I noticed 2 ladies live streaming on YouTube from GF Lobby and realized it was Tonya from the Crazy Disney Lady live streamer. I went over as well as the rest of my family she was so nice to us and loved my GF ears that my daughter got from Etsy for us. Will report back again. Now I am going to catch up on this Groups post and see what's happening with my favorite September Group! ❤️

Thank you! I am going to call tomorrow and try adding it.

@Dentam I hope your Dad is doing better. I am so sorry he was feeling so bad. Also @melking23 I hope your sweet girl is also feeling better. Prayers for each of you and your families.
Thank you - that is so sweet of you to check in. He's still in the hospital and I'm flying home tomorrow to be with my family. We're hoping he will be released later this week once they get the blood culture results back and can hopefully pinpoint the source of the infection he has been battling along with covid. Please continue to send good thoughts!

You might want to try looking for two reservations around the same time 4+4 or 3+5. If you're flexible, it looks like there's a 3:20pm for 4 people and a 3:30pm for 4 people on 9/9.
I am hoping not to split it, I am worried we would not be seated together, but I will if I have to. I found a 6:00 for 4 but there is nothing close to it. I’m worried we will not find something close.

I have a super embarrassing question🙈 I have not been to Disney in 14 years and I was much smaller then. I am 5 feet 4 inches tall and 187 pounds. I was about 115 pounds last time. I want to ride things like the barnstormer, magic carpet, dumbo, and similar rides with my three grandsons. Will I fit? Are there some I should avoid? Thank you!

Well I'm checked in online for my flight and 24 hours from now I'll be on my way to DISNEY!!!! :mickeyjum:goofy::figment::hmghost:

Now I just have to get through my last day of work and pack the last minute things and try and get some sleep tonight.
Same!!
On all exact parts of your post :)
I was even able to move our seats 12 rows closer for free, that was a nice surprising bonus!

I am 16 days away!!!

I have most of my stuff pulled out and in the spare room. I just need to finish making some Halloween shirts on my cricut which I plan on doing after work today. The weather in RI has been pretty crazy and I got stuck in some traffic due to flooding on the highway so I didn’t get much done yesterday.

Not embarrassing! You just want to be prepared ahead of time!

I'm not a frequent Disney person, but you should have no problems at all. I hear there are a few rides where it can be hard to get in and out, regardless of size, like Space Mountain. But Disney is def friendly for anyone "Pooh" sized. I'm 5'1" and 160lbs and am not worried in the slightest.

You can also search the forums for similar questions and you'll get even more answers from people that are more experienced than I.

Don't worry about that at all!! I'm "pooh sized" as we like to say here on the boards and I'm both taller and larger than what you said and I had no problems fitting in anything you mentioned at all. The only thing I had trouble with was FoP at AK. A lot of people seem to have trouble there, but I don't think you'd be one of them.

We're down to single digits in our countdown! I spent time yesterday putting our rough daily itineraries into more digestible formats. I'm feeling stressed that we aren't going to have time to "do all the things we want" which I think is crazy and I'm fighting with my own brain! We have 8 full days plus 2 half-ish days. We have park hoppers, We are doing the Halloween party AND will take advantage of our deluxe evening hours since my kids are 4th and 8th grade. And ride wait times have been crazy low! We have no burning desire to do Disney Springs or meet characters. We have great sit down meals and will be fine figuring out the other meals since we eat anything.

Still... I'll still be glad once we're just doing it to see how we survive in the steam bath with my plan. I don't really have a good sense how much time everything actually takes between walking and waiting and then how that fills a 12+ hour day. I'm trying to not be psychotic with insisting we go on certain rides in a certain order, because that's gonna make all 4 of us unhappy. I have a good front loaded vaca with plenty of treats and rest time built in. WE WILL HAVE FUN!!!! And hopefully feel at least a little recharged afterwards.

Squeeeeee!

Thank you! I have been worrying I will get up to a ride and not be able to fit. That is stressing me so much!! I will search for other posts.

Thank you! I saw a comment on Facebook about the barnstormer ride being difficult for larger adults. That started me down a rabbit hole of worrying 😂
