I am getting the same thing and I also received a call telling me it was fixed!
Can you explain to me what the "wallet" is? When I keep playing with getting the digital membership card, it keeps taking me to Google Pay. I don't want Google Pay! I feel real stupid right now. : {Oh, it will show me as DVC and it did, but they have to see the DVC Y or DVC ND, and as of today, that is only possible by pulling it up.
Again, starting Feb 1st, that will be the expectation as they expect all glitches to be fixed, unless you have been given other info.
Why would all those managers and supervisors I talked to not say this is the plan vs telling me that the phone or watch needed. Why would the DVC video have you add to the wallet?
I definitely do hope it does eventually become automatic but that won’t be anytime soon per CMs.
Does she have her own DVC and MDE accounts an have them linked? That would be needed in order to each have the digital membership. It does also require using a wallet which on android would be Google Pay. There is a known issue that they've been working on with regards to grandfathered accounts that they hope to have fixed by the end of the month.Warning, this is a NO Pixie dust comment, so if you don't like negativity, then don't read this.
My spouse and I both are on our DVC contract. We are Blue Card holders. Tried following the video tutorial on the DVC site to get the digital Blue Card. Well, its a total bust. (not surprised since its Disney IT). 1) Can't add my spouse, her name isn't even listed and I can't find any information on how to add her. . 2) I can select the DVC card, but the only way to save it is through Google Pay. I don't want Google Pay, all I want is to have the digital membership card. 3) When I open the details of my card it says, Robert D DVC member ND. Really, can even print my whole name and ND, no discount. Wrong again. After sitting on hold for over 4 hours on the phone, then getting disconnected, I finally sent a nasty gram and fully expect a canned executive response blaming our current world situation for all the issues. I'm venting now. Going in Feb so I can see spending one of our vacation days in Guest Services trying to straighten out this IT created mess. Can't wait to get my $1.00 refund on my dues for the money saved not giving it's members a physical card.

They have way over complicated this.
The Disney MagicMobile Pass will not be used for entry into your hotel room. Disney will eventually be supporting a new iOS 15 feature from Apple called Hotel Keys. Once Disney rolls out support at WDW, you will add a separate room reservation specific card to your Apple Wallet which will allow for simpler room entry using a compatible iPhone or Apple Watch.I only asked a few CM’s about the MM pass and none of them really knew what the heck was going on with the current issues nor what the future plans are for it. They’re best guess though goes along with the discussions in this thread; hopefully the pass will be used for everything like unlocking doors, parking gates, etc…, you just waive your phone by the scanner and it does what it’s supposed to do (just like a magic band).

I can’t seem to get a digital card either. Im sorry you’re having issues too.Warning, this is a NO Pixie dust comment, so if you don't like negativity, then don't read this.

That has been the problem for me since 2012. I have a MDE obviously but I cannot sign up for a DVC account. Well actually I do have one but it doesn’t identify me as a member. I did a lot of work on this years ago and it still never identified me as a member. The odd thing is I was always mailed a blue card. The one time Disney IT got my account working (2014?), my husband’s DVC log in immediately stopped working. So the guy undid the changes and basically told me, “no idea sorry.” I know I wasn’t the only Person with this issue. Other members were definitely helpful but I never got it working as they need to give me an activation code I guess? (We have 4 contacts 3 resale, 1 direct)Does she have her own DVC and MDE accounts an have them linked? That would be needed in order to each have the digital membership.
Late to the party. Ran into issues following instructions on member website to set up . Yes, we are blue
I don’t choose to set up Apple wallet
Have been DVC members for decades, the mr has never gone into website or interacted with MS even tho he is a member.
He doesn’t want to bothered to set up his own account DVC or Genie whatever on app. He signs in on mine when in parks for planning purposes.
Has his own WDW account, he has never signed into it, I manage his plans. I see his reasoning 110% not a fan of most of the changes myself. Begrudgingly, adapting to al these changes as only absolutely necessary
Not meant as a rhetorical question…
Factoring in the above, in order to have proof of DVC membership (for both of us) exactly what am I supposed to do at this point?
US its more like 60%. Willing to bet Disney has data that shows them that a higher majority of their customers than that 60% use iOS.I find it incredible that Disney chooses to support people with iphones (23% of the market) with every new feature Apple offers, yet offers only the most basic functionality for Android users. I guess it's easier for their developers to develop for a defined platform and not have to ask the operating system if NFC is included in the phone's firmware, which, again, reinforces the low level of competency of Disney's IT staff.

I thought I read that there are multiple Android operating systems that make it more complicated to develop and roll out new functionality for Android devices. Is that true?I find it incredible that Disney chooses to support people with iphones (23% of the market) with every new feature Apple offers, yet offers only the most basic functionality for Android users. It's more that there are several different versions out there (as in people don't upgrade their software versions as readily as iOS). It makes it more difficult to support. That said, MagicMobile supports Google Pay so should work on the majority of Android phones. It is true that they (Disney) develops for Apple first because it is just easier to do so and then adapts for Android.I thought I read that there are multiple Android operating systems that make it more complicated to develop and roll out new functionality for Android devices. It's been a long time since I was directly testing on phone devices, mind you, but as someone who ran quality assurance and software engineering teams, I can tell you that Android was absolutely a nightmare to develop and test on. Multiple OS versions (as not everyone upgrades), but also customizations to those versions based on major vendors (ie, there are differences between the same version of android on Google vs Samsung vs LG etc), and the wide variation of hardware between phones ALSO affects certain features. It is much easier to develop and test on Apple, which is why you will still find some companies (not just Disney) who develop first for Apple (and some only release for Apple).I thought I read that there are multiple Android operating systems that make it more complicated to develop and roll out new functionality for Android devices.
