DS got the PS5 and a 70 in TV plus an extra controller. I am going to grab him some UA sweats also since he is growing like a weed! Other that, it is mainly experiences with our Christmas cruise and then I want to take him to NYC or something.I know a few of you have middle school age boys. What’s everyone getting them for Christmas? My 13 year old DS is so hard to buy for, I need ideas. Thanks!
With the Best Buy offers that have come around through Chase, sometimes I've used them online for Disney eGCs. It works. I would think it would work for Target also. Chase has no idea what you're buying (that's why GC purchases work even on offers that prohibite them), it just has to come from the right merchant.I have this Target offer on some of my Chase cards too….
Does anyone know if it would work purchasing a e-Disney GC online ?
The beginning of Rona I had told the ex we should look at getting our DD a car then. Instead I managed to still get a great deal in March. 2020 Trax, 0% for 84 mos! Then I traded my Jeep lease in on a whim in July. When I leased it in 2019, I got employee pricing. Well my salesman (who we bought 10 jeeps from) quit to become a pot farmer. So I knew getting a great deal on my next would be impossible. I managed to get the exact same price I was paying on my new 2021 Jeep....aka, I managed to keep employee pricing My mom just decided to take advantage of what her Buick SUV would get her, so she just got a new one and got 0% for 60 mos I think. Of course, I live in Metro Detroit, so I feel like we get the best deals in the nation, LOL. Plus we all know someone to get us a discount. I get the GM family price (thank you uncles).I wish I had gotten a new car during the beginning of COVID. There were good deals.
I am in the going to need a car situation starting summer. DD heads to college in the fall and is going to be commuting. She will get my car once she graduates in June. I’m really not looking forward to paying sticker price for a new SUV but don’t see much changing by then.
I'm right there w/ you. My son needed new hockey skates this week. He went from a kids 4.5, to an adult 7! Which means he also went into a $380 skate! UGH. So I'm going to wrap up his skate box. I got him knock off airpods from DH Gate that were an early christmas present when he lost his this fall. They were $18 and look 100% real! Come in an apple box, etc. So he thinks the are the same, LOL. I'm getting him a new airpod case. He's growing, so he's getting a ton of clothes, which I would have needed to buy anyways, LOL. I'm getting him a new snowboarding helmet. His dad bought him all new gear. I'm making him a hoodie w/ his MS logo on it. I feel bad because they are getting to the age where everything is $$$$$ so it's a lot less under the tree.I know a few of you have middle school age boys. What’s everyone getting them for Christmas? Question about CC associated with a WDW reservation. We just returned from a quick (and inexpensive) trip. The CC I used to reserve the room (1 night deposit since it was room only) was my CSP. But in between reservation and going, I had a new CC (Chase Aer Lingus) and wanted to pay the balance and all other stuff to that. Long story short, I updated my profile on MDE to the new card and while my G+ and ILL charges went to that, the room charges (plus food/drink purchases) went to the original CC.
This is no big deal because I met my min spend anyway (thanks home repairs!), but I want to make sure I do this right for 3 room packages in Feb. I made those reservations with CSP a few months ago, but will be grabbing a new card for this much larger outlay/MSR. Do I need to call Disney? Or is there some other means to do this online?
edit: it just dawned on me the packages need to be paid in advance in full, so I can probably just plug in whatever card I need to use. I'd still like to know how to get all the incidentals (which will be large with 6 adults) on the card I prefer. Perhaps just stopping at the front desk on arrival?
Thanks…I’ve done the Disney ones too…just seemed to remember some websites gift cards went through a different siteWith the Best Buy offers that have come around through Chase, sometimes I've used them online for Disney eGCs. My DS is a huge sports fan, so lots of his is sports related. New Blackhawks jersey for new goalie Fleury (perfect because Fleury just celebrated his 500th goal in NHL) Soccer goal for backyard. Clothes because of course he outgrows everything. Tshirts from his favorite soccer team. Grandma got him an outdoor chair with Packers logo, plus Packers socks and pillow. Plus a mouse for his school chromebook and a Disney pin for his stocking. Of course, I have to start on birthday gifts next because his birthday is in March and I have a feeling his big trip to London is not gonna happen.I know a few of you have middle school age boys. I’m still batting zero getting my son a PS5.DS got the PS5 and a 70 in TV plus an extra controller. I am going to grab him some UA sweats also since he is growing like a weed! Other that, it is mainly experiences with our Christmas cruise and then I want to take him to NYC or something.
I have been pricing Paris hotels for next August. This looks like a beautiful place at a great price!Booked this AirBNB for our spring break Paris trip. 4 bedrooms, 3 baths for our group of 7-8 near the Louvre. I'm actually putting it on the CSR to take advantage of PYB at 1.5cpp. The cost will be about 53k points per night, all in with taxes and fees. There's no way I could have gotten hotel rooms for all of us for that cost, so I'm happy with the redemption.
I recall some talk a bit back about how challenging it is to do Europe on points and I agree, as most hotel rooms only sleep two, sometimes three. I'm really glad Chase actually has this option. It's a good work around.
So funny that so many on this forum are headed to Paris. Awhile back it seemed like Iceland and before that Hawaii. It's so great to share information- you all have definitely made my travels better.
I snagged one with Amex platinum perk with Walmart + I'm still in disbelief, they release the stock early for Walmart + (I would never have got it if it wasn't a perk)I’m still batting zero getting my son a PS5.
Any recommendations for which show to catch in London in may? Thinking about Cinderella. Wish I could get tickets using ur points but that doesn’t seem like it’s possible.
I saw beautiful in New York. I liked it. I'm going to London tomorrow and have absolutely nothing planned. It's going to be interesting.A few years ago we (me and teen/young adult kids) saw Beautiful. Got tickets from the same-day ticket booth (I forget the official name). We all liked it--and my daughter actually appropriated my old Tapestry album to play on her record player.
I assume you know, but the Cinderella playing there is a new Andrew Lloyd Webber version. The reviews for the show haven’t been amazing, but Carrie Hope Fletcher (Cinderella) is an unreal talent. I think the goal is to rework the show and bring it to Broadway, so it might be cool to see.Any recommendations for which show to catch in London in may? Thinking about Cinderella. Hopefully this tweet can help-I’m still batting zero getting my son a PS5.
