Disney's Club Level (CL) Information & Questions

Haven't done either YC CL or WL CL. We currently have a deluxe WL CL room in January. Would you keep that or go with YC? I realize the info is pre-covid, but back then which did you prefer?
From a purely CL standpoint, WL is my all-around favorite. Love the food/alcohol offerings, view of the lobby (and fireworks) and the overall space - lots of variety of seating, nice spot for kids, etc.

However, I think YC/BC/BWI are the most “useable” (easy to pop in throughout the day) CLs given the location and among those I prefer YC for the overall hotel/rooms/pool.

I’m seconding most of these points. I think you summed it up pretty well. Did want to add that while the space can be a little tight and the view is out the front of the YC (vs. the lake/EPCOT), it is nice that there is a large balcony and we liked having a peaceful outdoor space in the lounge.

Great point about the outdoor space at YC CL. I’m trying to remember, had they put new furniture out there pre-COVID? Or was that just what I wished they’d do? It’s always seemed a little under-utilized in terms of furniture if my memory is correct. Amazing how long it’s been since YC/BC CLs have been open.

When the news broke that poly CL was open to book, I was able to grab a lagoon view cl room. I initially wanted garden view cl room because the cost per night is quite a big cheaper. After looking at room views on touring plans, I think I might have convinced myself to just keep the lagoon instead of stalking for a garden view cl to pop up.
Thoughts?

I concede I’ve grown pickier with rooms/room views as we’ve continued on our Disney journey. Life’s short, our leisure time is limited, I want to make the most of it. I’m not a park commando so sometimes the balcony/patio/view can be important…so ultimately I don’t mind paying up a bit to ensure we get that experience. The water side of Hawaii has fantastic background audio and it really adds to the overall Poly experience.

Poly TPV is annoyingly expensive, GV is a pretty good relative value, and LV is somewhere in the middle - so it’s a nice compromise and being on the water side of the building is definitely my preference. Several LV rooms are really TPV rooms in disguise, you may just need to move to the left or right a little.

Last time I stayed GV I remember hearing the EWP going off one night and it drove me bonkers that I couldn’t just open my balcony door and go out and see it. Could I have easily walked out to the beach to watch? Of course!

TLDR - If I want to save money… GV is the way to go. You always have the lounge just steps away for the TPV. But if I don’t mind the cost and will take advantage of the view… LV would get my vote.

It’s just three nights, so I might just bite the bullet and keep lagoon view. With a one year old tagging along and a six year old who loves the pool, we will be spending quite a bit of time at the resort. So we will be able to appreciate the view!

oh, and the Poly background music is my go-to cooking/cleaning music 😂

If it helps…mine are 11 and 7 so a little older, but a lot of our Poly travels have been at your ages, and the ability to walk out of the room to the sandy beach (assuming you get a first floor room) has provided many great memories (and sand in the room!). And maybe a duck or two. :-)

There’s really nothing better, IMO, and just thinking about it reminds me why we go/why I spend time coming around here.

We were last there in June of 2019 and I believe there were 2 or 3 tables out there and probably about 8-10 seats. I remember sitting out there one morning when it was very busy at breakfast time and we couldn’t find a table inside.

I've read mixed reviews on YC CL and am trying to decide if it's worth the upgrade. I see these rooms are reopening on January 20th and we currently have a standard water view room booked for January 21-29th. Any input on whether or not improvements can be expected? Are they needed? We have never done CL before but this trip is a celebration of making it to empty nester status with two kiddos successfully powering through college...yay we did something right :cheer2:
I haven’t done YC CL but in a trip with a touch of empty nester celebration I would make the splurge- as long as you are not park commandos. Imho if you can’t take advantage of breakfast + one other offering CL is not worth it. (Personally I love breakfast and appetizers/drinks 😉)

I found a YC CL garden view room this morning and put it in my shopping cart. The website wouldn't let me change my current reservation to the CL one, so I had to make a new reservation - except it didn't want to go through. Every time I hit the purchase button, it just went back to the same page. I changed browsers and went to the shopping cart, and again, it wouldn't go through to the payment page. I couldn't start over again with a new reservation, because the CL room was no longer available. So I closed it all down. When I checked about an hour or so later, the reservation was still in the shopping cart and I was able to purchase it. My husband didn't care where we stayed but I decided that I really liked CL, so I did it for me. :) This room with the 25% AP discount is cheaper than the BC GV room we had last month. (Gotta love Disney math)

It looks like there are only five garden view CL rooms at the YC and they are all close to the lounge and elevators.

@GADisneyDad14 thank you once again for providing us with such great CL pics! My girls will be home later this afternoon and they always ask to see CL pics, so yours are here just in time :). We are in such withdrawal for a CL trip....hoping to make a December trip work (had to cancel October due to girls' schedule). I have 3 room reservations booked (all CL) and we'll be deciding which to keep depending on their vacation dates!

Ok, after much great debate (ha!) you guys have convinced me to go with lagoon cl at the poly over garden view. I showed my dh pics and hands down lagoon view won.

I honestly can’t believe we will be staying there soon! When we stayed at the Poly in the past, it was always through rented points due to cost.We always walked past the Hawaii building thinking “someday”. Well that someday is almost here, and its surreal! Happy 10th (now 11, almost 12, thanks covid for the delayed celebration) anniversary to us.

I tried looking for a long weekend in February. No CL is showing available 🙄 will try again this week. Still up in the air on vacation plans for next year.

On a different note, I thought of my CL friends last night. We are looking at colleges and stayed over last night. The hotel had soap/shampoo dispensers on the wall. I immediately thought of you guys and the debate😆

We have stayed at YC CL WV many times. The offerings are decent, cast members friendly, they were always around to help. Many times they got us beer and wine to bring back to the room when we just wanted cheese and crackers and a few apps. BWI May have a better selection but you can’t beat the view and pool from YC

I agree about the views and the pool and the upgraded YC rooms are heads above the old tired BWI rooms. Still gotta give the CL edge to BWI though:).

Well, we just got out of the er with our one year old. Apparently she is allergic to peanuts. Is this something I need to tell DSS when they call? Assuming so. We are planning on eating a majority of our food in the lounge. I have heard great things about disney and allergies. Just wasn’t really sure where to begin!
