Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB RESORTS Information & Questions

Well, here I am!

This old Rabbit is going to *finally* be able to cross BC off her Disney Bucket List for the end of November/early December! Our (adult) daughter and I are doing another of our famous "girls only" trips, and she was able to grab a roll-in shower room at Beach. I can't believe it; we have been trying for (no exaggeration) years to land a roll-in shower room with 2 queen beds at either Beach or Yacht, so it's thrilling to say the least; allegedly we will have a water view as well (which is just icing on the cake for me!)

I'm so happy to see such a great community here surrounding this Resort; based on what I read so far (I've gone back and read every post for the last 6 months) we will have a great time, and a new WDW "Home".

Dee - although I don't know you, I hope you are continuing to grow stronger, and heal. I can only extend my most sincere condolences, and my best wishes for strength, and ultimately, joy for both you and your boys.

I'm not posting exact dates of our visit because we are not "visiting" on this trip with other DIS friends. Our daughter has suffered a personal loss as well, and so we are "running away to Disney" for a couple of weeks to eat, drink, ride, play, (hopefully) laugh and generally act our shoe size, and not our ages! After about a week at BC we will move over to POFQ (a long time favorite of our family) for the last half of our trip. If nothing else, I have *boats* at both of my Resorts on this trip, which is so awesome! I loves me a Disney boat ride, and we are no strangers to the waterway between HS and Epcot.

Right now, I have just one question - when they are "sharing" do the MK and AK buses "start" at YC and then pick up at BC? I saw @VAtink reply in this post that in the morning, YC and BC each get their own MK bus, and then they share later in the day (good info to have, thanks VATink!) but is YC considered "stop #1" and BC "stop #2" ? And do the Disney Springs buses share as well? Weird questions, I suppose, but I must use a wheelchair, and so transportation information is always important to me. Typically, when we have visited YC/BC we have arrived on the boats, so I have no frame of reference for buses at this Resort at all!

Thank you in advance for the greetings, and the friendship! I'm very excited to finally have a reason to visit this corner of the DIS! 🙂

The morning MK and AK buses only stop at one resort while later in the day and the return buses go to both resorts. YC is first and BC is second. The Disney Springs bus goes to both YC and BC. The BC bus stop is usually more crowded than the YC stop because it includes guests at BCV.

Yes, shared buses go to YC first, then BC. It’s just the way the roads flow. Enjoy your trip !

If it is really crowded when someone is there, it's not a far walk to the YC bus stop from Beach Club (Villas are further).

I've never seen this on this thread before. I've been to Disney at least 30 times and this is this first time I've seen this.

I have a reservation booked for YC for Dec 2-15, 2022. Today I received an email with my "cart ID #". I plugged in the number where I was supposed to and the message said that the ID # was already being used.

I tried calling Disney but the wait time is over an hour!

Does anyone know what this "cart ID #" is? A discount of some sort like the old "pins" that we used to get?

thanks for the help

Does your reservation show on MDE? I know when you click a resort into your cart to book, there is a specific ID for that cart. So you could call & give the cart ID if you have questions or want to book on the phone. The CM could pull up the cart & see it. I’ve gotten an email if I put a resort into a cart to check the pricing with tax & everything & forgot to delete it. Sort of like “you left something in your cart, come back & book it”.

I’ve never needed it for any else. It isn’t even your confirmation number after you do book.

If you have a confirmation, paid the required deposit, and see your stay in MDE, I would not worry. The system saves a searched itinerary for retrieval, at a later time, if not immediately purchased. You may want to take a screenshot of the reservation in MDE.

Sometimes, the chat feature can be fairly responsive, when the phone lines are backed up.

If you happen to be talking to Mousekeeping, could you ask if getting a Keurig is possible while staying at BCV? No urgency, just if you happen to be calling them anyway.

I hate having to brew a whole pot of coffee when I’m the only coffee drinker, and I need to figure out what supplies to bring for our now-rescheduled-to-December trip. A Keurig would be so much easier than the Mr Coffee drip machines…

Thanks in advance!
Yes, it is possible. I just did it today on our arrival. I did not talk to local housekeeping, but called. The agent said it wasn’t on the BCV list but that he would request It from the resort side. It was delivered in the yellow laundry bag. I think it’s important here to note that the agent I talked to went off script and out of his way to make it happen. Not trying to be critical here but I think results may vary based on the person you deal with.

This is not a discount. It is just an attempt by Disney to get you to book the trip you may have looked at on their website. The website creates a Cart ID# when you click on a resort, something we do when looking at different rates and resorts. I have received this email before from a trip I was planning. :)

So excited to arrive (again) on Saturday! My partner and I are celebrating our 4-year anniversary and he has never stayed at Yacht -- we're doing the works: Yachstman Steakhouse, Ale & Compass breakfast, Jellyrolls, Stormalong Bay, and possibly some B&C ice cream! I'm so excited to finally show him my home away from home, and fingers crossed I get a decent room.

I know several folks asked about cabanas a while ago, but I wasn't needing info then.... LOL

Can someone tell me now how far out Cabanas can be reserved? Full days only? Cost? AP Discount?

Thanks in advance!!

Can someone who is there now or recently there tell me if they have the 50th Anniversary refillable mugs in the BC or YC Marketplaces? I haven't been buying the mugs lately, but the 50th Anniversary mug is cute. :) We will be there on Sunday. :)

Thanks.

Waiting for YC room assignment as we're attending a conference. Wondering if they usually put conference attendees in a certain section of the hotel? Supposed to have woods/garden view.

No you will receive a room in your room category anywhere in the YC. If they put all conference attendees together it would be congested in the hallways, elevators and walkways multiple times during the day.

Note: it really depends on the size of your convention as the specific impact at the resort, bars and restaurants.

Dave

I know that they are not offering full housekeeping yet, but will they do it if you request it? I was at the DLH in California two weeks ago. They only “offered”towel and trash service, but I asked for full housekeeping and they did it. Not sure they were happy but I was! And I tipped the housekeepers each day too.
