We will be at YC next week and I'm planning on putting in a room request. Any suggestions so that we aren't an 8 minutes walk down a long hallway. I hate it when it takes 15 to 20 minutes just to get out of the building.

I would just say “close to the lobby” and leave it at that. I’d go ahead and get it in - rooms are assigned a few days before check in.

As a runner, I always go out of my way to avoid oncoming groups on the path and also say ”hi” to them and “enjoy the studios“! I'll be back next week so keep an eye out for me!

Uber Eats, Grubhub or Door Dash
Has anyone used a food (meal) delivery service recently at the Beach Club? Which one? Happy with the service?

i haven’t used them at Disney but use grub hub and door dash at home. Sometimes it comes down to which restaurant is using which app. Also see if your credit card gives you a price break on deliveries for either of them. And check the specials on both.

FWIW every single stay that my family has stayed at Yacht or Beach We have always received our room request. I always call and double check one week before check in that my request is on my reservation and we always get it. I even request a room range of numbers and always get one of the rooms I requested. I never got my requests at the Poly or GF but always do at YCBC. My last stay in August i only put one request for my Deluxe room and got the exact room I requested room 1557! YMMV

FWIW every single stay that my family has stayed at Yacht or Beach We have always received our room request. I always call and double check one week before check in that my request is on my reservation and we always get it.

That is really lucky but we haven't had that experience at the Beach Club. I always request a full balcony and so far I've gotten it about 50% of the time.

Not my family’s experience either. I usually book YC water view CL (when it’s open ), so I don’t normally make requests because any room there is usually fine. However the few times I’ve booked a regular room & made a request, we haven’t gotten it. My DS & DDIL have stayed at YC & not gotten their requests either.

Wow I really just thought YCBC were really good with requests! Guess we have just been very lucky then.

And maybe its the time of year we go. Always the last week of August for the last 6 years, pretty slow time of year.

I’ve been lucky with my room requests at both YC and BC even for standard view rooms but I don’t normally travel during the busier times of the year.

I'm staying at BC with my family (husband and 5 year old daughter) in April (Easter week). I had just a standard room booked. It looks to be unavailable now during my search. Should I be worried about doing a standard room? Will we be walking forever.

We are doing a split stay with the Poly where we are staying in a Pool/Marina view room. Looks like that is unavailable now too. I wonder if the park will be packed then.

It may be somewhat luck of a draw. At least at Yacht Club, we had a standard room and we were literally up the small stairs from the lobby, elevator to 2nd floor, 2 doors down so we had great access to everything - super close. No water view, but otherwise great location.

Thanks. I was debating about switching our reservation to Yacht Club but I waited too long and it’s booked now for that week. Hopefully it’s not too bad. My husband is used to the Wilderness Lodge and said if this trip isn’t up to the same standard as there he won’t try another resort again. It took a lot of convincing to get him to agree to switching

If he likes the pool, storm a long bay is awesome and Epcot with short walk - HS within walk or skyliner... we were new to YC/BC and really enjoyed it.

I have a question about availability… I was looking for March but see no available at all for BC or YCmy dates… is that normal or does that just mean it’s gonna be super busy at that time. The prices for other deluxe resorts are really pricey too around 700-800 a night. I didn’t think prices were usually this high. Is this because of the 50th?

I feel like it’s a number of things. People are more comfortable traveling now and the 50th probably adds to it. March is also spring break time

Is March super busy? I have never been during these dates and was hoping it wouldn’t be too bad since spring break seems different for a lot of places

I haven’t been in March. I’m a teacher so I always have to go during school breaks. We went during Easter week in 2019 and it wasn’t terrible.
