DD who is 13 is an AU on my Plat, she has a gold, do I have to create a login for her in order to add offers to her card? Or can I add her card to my login?

Nice. Plus they are offering double credit for flights towards A list. I just booked the other day under DH’s account. I am not even sure I could make use of it since DH has CP through Dec 2022 and we are family of 3.

Our CP expires Dec 2021 and we plan to earn it early 2022, but it wouldn't be in effect for January. Utilizing the free CP for a Cabo trip planned 1/6, I estimate we'll save about $350 on that flight.

I just did some convoluted math for a long weekend at Disney in October. Utilizing (2) Amex Plat $200 resort credits and $250 airline credit and $100 SW gift card, and accounting for the savings for the January flight, I believe our "out of pocket" cost for a 4 night Disney weekend will be $348 (hotels and flights). We were planning to upgrade to AP, so I'll consider that a fixed cost.

My husband is having a surgery next week though- his bicep tendon has a complete tear off the bone. Post surgically he'll be off of work for weeks to months and for the first 4-6 weeks that arm will be immobilized. So no rides for him, but maybe a change of scenery will help?

It seems everything is cancellable if post-surgery it doesn't look like travel is a good idea.

Sorry, that sounds miserable. My husband actually does get motion sick, but primarily on spinning rides, like teacups. But he can do things like Flight of Passage, rollercoasters and rides like Remy without any problem.

I consider Remy similar to Mickey & Minnie Runaway Railcar. Would you agree?

I was at DL-P in Oct 2019 and before that WDW in 2016 or 2017 so I don't know. Fortunately for me (and my travel budget) my DD phased out of Disney in high school and I haven't been on any of the "new" rides since. Time flies...

Well looks like I won't be doing VGC using the CIC for my taxes. I hit one Staples yesterday, no cards. I asked if they had any and the cashier said no and to try Kroger next door. Clearly she doesn't understand why I was asking, LOL. This morning I hit the one by school.....none. I feel the last promo they still had some on Saturday, so I thought for sure I'd be okay. Bummed I didn't do more at OD/OM but that mid-week trip to Vegas really threw me for a loop, LOL.

So now I've got to transfer over money for the payment and write a check....GASP! Although I do think they said they will take wired payments so I might do that. I was looking forward to the delay in actually paying the taxes since they'd be on a card. But it just doesn't make sense since I can easily hit the MSR on the IHG card I have right now. And the fees outweigh the 1.5 URs if I used the CIU. I didn't time this right, LOL. If I had the MDD it would have worked great. I think that is the goal when the Winter taxes are due.

OMG that was me at Cedar Point. It was the Gemini of all rides (a smaller wooden coaster) that almost put me over the top and had me hurling. We had fast passes, which was great for short lines, but my body needs downtime, LOL.

I got hurled on quite literally on the Gemini many years ago. It was so disgusting 🤮 They got me on the ride and then ran off and leaned over the railing to finish and nailed a bunch of people passing under. I went to the bathroom and threw away my shirt and tried to clean as best as I could in the sink while DH went and bought me a new shirt. Ah what fun memories. 🤣🤣. This was probably 25 years ago as it was prekids, so many coasters have been added since then but even then I was thinking this is one of the tamest, how could you barf on it.

I’m at Universal and SW just cancelled our flight for later today and rebooked is for tomorrow morning. I think I remember someone saying something about certain cards helping with such cancellations, but maybe I made that up. Are there any benefits or anything through CSR or CSP or FF? I’m on hold now to see if SW is getting us a room but I might just stay at Uni again. Thanks in advance!

There are on CSR and CSP, not sure about FF. But it will be the coverage of whatever card you charged the SW flight to (if you used points, then the tax).

Just saw this on Southwest's Home Page-

ENDS THURSDAY
Wanna bring a friend for free*
every time you fly?
Here's how:
1. Register, then book one round trip or
two one-way flights by 9/9/21
2. Travel by 11/18/21
3. Companion flies free* with you 1/6-2/28/2022
*Does not include taxes and fees from $5.60 one-way. Must include Rapid Rewards number during booking. Limited time. Restrictions apply.
Thanks for the heads up. I have a CP expiring 12/21. I don't know yet if I'll try to get a CP via cc signups or spending on my RR account. So to hedge my bets, I've decided to rebook my Oct flights, making use of Amex credits on the chance that the early part of 2022 might find me without a CP. Don't know if we'll actually fly anywhere in Jan or Feb, but since I'm not out additional money for it I figure I have my bases covered.

Does this work if I cancel flights I already have and rebook again? Some flights were booked with RR pts

Terms say it must be a revenue flight and specifically excludes using points. But does anyone know if I use a gift card, if that counts as a revenue flight? What about travel funds? I might try to chat them and see what I find out.

that was my understanding that it just needs to be paid via some kind of cash and not points... let us know though if im wrong.
