What is your favorite airline CC thinking about getting JetBlue. Should preface with Southwest doesn't service our airport and we don't like United.

I like the JetBlue+ card for SUB, free bags and 10% points rebate on reward bookings - but it is lousy for everyday spend. I keep it as the $99 annual fee is mostly offset by the 5000 anniversary miles.

What are people’s plans for CP for 2020-21. I was thinking SW biz 80k next month and regular SW biz in Jan

I am trying to decide on this too.
DH is up for CIP3 on 9/15, but he is also up for SW CP.

I have to decide to do CIP 9/15, then a SW biz card 12/15, and SW personal 1/15...or similar.
OR
Skip CIP3 for now and do SW biz 10/1, SW personal (or biz?) 12/1, and do a CIP 90+ days later.

He could use the CP in Feb and March, so getting it by then would be nice, but the feb flight was only about 13k round trip for my son, so that is the savings.

I am leaning towards CIP 9/15 followed by the SW cards 12/15 and 1/15. He'd have the CP in time for the March trip and an extra CIP to show for it.

ETA:
I am up for a chase card 10/8. My CP runs out 12/31 this year and I use the heck out of it. Trying to decide if I want to do the SW 80k biz offer and MS/organic spend the other 30k (shouldn't take too long if I get DH and DD employee cards).

There's not too many others with the same kind of sign up bonus value outside of Chase. Mostly you'll be finding $200-300 bonuses, it was a sad day when they pulled that application.

If you haven't looked through already, DoC has been keeping a list of good sign ups to read through - https://www.doctorofcredit.com/best-current-credit-card-sign-bonuses

Could spark another idea. But with lower value bonuses, you'll need more cards to make the same amount which could change future sign up plans. Depending on how much you still need to cover, have you looked into bank bonuses for some cash too? Things like the Wells Fargo CC offer DoC mentioned that can only be applied in branch would be a good time to double up with a new account opening bonus. Between the two that could generate $600-800 dollars towards tickets ( depending on the current WF offers out)

May have to take some time to generate a new strategy since I'm not sure there's a single card that would be as easy to substitute. Unless you took a Chase offer and cashed out the points - but from other replies I gathered maybe Chase isn't a good fit if you want this card for DH. (Sorry if I missed anything, I'm mostly skimming the last few days)

Thank you for the link. I will definitely take a look at that.

I'll have to see if we have any branches of Wells Fargo in our area. I'm thinking not, but maybe?

He is still pretty angry with Chase, but I've had my Disney card for years with no problems. I think eBay/Paypal are more at fault than Chase, but we still expected better from them.

This is pretty much my plan except delayed by a month for both. I just got CIP #3 in August and have been getting Chase cards every 3 months so I need to wait to apply till Nov. I'm hoping the SW biz 80k offer is extended another month or at least doesn't drop too much by then.

That’s what I’ve been battling . Do I go for CIP 4 or do the swa person in flight end of oct. I could have applied for CIP 4 a month ago. Need the cp to book flights for an oct trip so I don’t have to have it early on but also if I do the inflight person for 50k and then the swa business in Jan I’ll be set.
I think if I were you I'd do another CIP now. It isn't worth giving up the URs to get 10k or whatever extra RR from the in-flight offer. Just get the CP with the 80k biz plus the personal for 40k. (ETA: Esp since you don't need the CP early in the year.)

Quoting myself b/c I just had a thought...

Doesn't SW RR shopping always do a decent portal bonus around the holidays? So if I do the 80k SW biz offer to post after Jan 1, and the shopping portal bonus posts after Jan 1, then my spend to get to CP will be even quicker!

Thanks. I will keep that in mind. I'm not set on Delta. It can be either them, or American, or United. However, there is an Asiana flight that may work, and it's only $875 and the price stays consistent, so if DH is okay with a 5 hour layover in Seoul, I'll just book that one. I'd rather do it all online so I can see exactly what is being booked. I get nervous doing that kind of stuff over the phone. I like to be in full control of what I am booking.
I was hesitant doing this when we had to call to book our Allegiant flights with Chase. They don't show up in the portal so you have to call if you want to fly with them. The whole process went very smoothly and we had our Allegiant confirmation within the hour after calling. I would much rather call and get the flight I prefer than have to deal with a 5 hour layover.

Please tell me if this will work. I'm cutting it close on the dates for a number of things.
My CSR AF posted 9/1, but the travel credit won't reset until "after statement close," which is 9/21. Anyone know how long after? Next day (which is a Sunday-will that make a difference)??
I'm flying to CA 9/23-9/29 and we are planning Disneyland for 9/27-9/28.
I would like to use the travel credits to buy Disneyland tickets.
So, can I buy the tickets on 9/22 (assuming travel credit has reset) through LMT or Undercover Tourist to use on 9/27. Are they emailed immediately? Or is there any delay?
Then I plan to product change the CSR to a CF on 9/30 (just under the wire). Assuming I'll get the refund then on the AF.

Do you think this will all work out?

Let us know what you decide. I'm up for CIP #4 later this month and REALLY want to try it. How many DPs do we have of this being successful?

Very similar scenario. Do you think you’d be ok hitting Chase one month apart In Dec/Jan? Not sure I am.
DH and I can both go for CIP 4 in October. I just feel uneasy getting a 4th. I know it can and has been done and I’m not sure really if having 4 vs 3 is really all that much worse. The AF on CIP1 is 10/1 so that’ll get closed right before I app. Decisions!!!
I was thinking SW 80k biz for me and work on the CP and a CIC for DH

That’s the offer I was thinking of going for. 80k sw points is a lot although the AF is higher than a CIP too.

Looks like last year it was 3K. I think I’d rather get x2 business cards and shift my spend towards more lucrative MSRs

Those using giftcardmall for MS or organic even: what does this code on CIC - 5x? I know it now only codes as 1x on CIP but I think it is ok with Chase to use for MSR. Correct?

When I tried it months ago it was 1x on the CIC. If you try it out though I’m interested in the DP. It’s completely fine for MSR for Chase.
