New D23 Expo Superthread! (6/24/2019)

I haven’t had a drink or sugar in 3 weeks, and I’ve lost about 8lbs. I was waiting until I got to LA on Wednesday, but I am fighting hard to not drink from the rum bottle right now!

This absolutely sucks. To be on the site at 12pm on the dot - And my stupid little guy still barely halfway across the screen....! I'm sure everything worth reserving will be gone by the time I'm let in.

I hit refresh on my phone about 40 seconds before time because I'm fidgety. The screen changed - and suddenly I had a queue id. The little man hardly moved for the first couple of minutes, and then he ran the rest of the way.

Edited to add - it didn't switch to the queue screen until 12. It just looked different and said I was in line a little before.

Now that I'm thinking about all this, all the passes are a pretty stupid idea. What does it really do besides secure you a spot in the place you want. Disney is making it seem like this a huge deal and you will get to everything you want to. D23 2017 was so smooth and the lines weren't that bad. This is just more of a mess than waiting in line for a panel. For example, if you get a storepass because you want something before it sells out, just do that first thing in the morning. If you want a huge panel, just get there an hour to 2 hours early. Disney still wants you there an hour early to wait if you have a pass. I just don't understand the point anymore.

Anyone with multiple single day passes make reservations yet? How did the process go? Were all of your badges connected or did you have to login separately for each badge.

I made it and got all the panels I wanted including movies on Saturday morning and parks and resorts on Sunday. Also, for the store passes I wanted for each day and two of the Pixar giveaways for Friday. I had 4 browsers/devices going.

I thought you'd get kicked off if you had more than one browser going? Or did that just apply to yesterday.

My two badges were connected. Just make sure to expand each individual day. It can be easy to miss.

I did the same thing, but I’m still at 2/3. I think it’s either fast connection to the main internet backbone or it’s random. Same thing I guess

Did not get most of what I was interested in. Very disappointed in not getting a store pass even though a time slot was open. Stand by lines I guess for me.

Totally agree! I am in this queue trying for a
Store pass which seems most if not all are gone & I was able to get one on the floor with a 10 min wait in 2017. And a talent pass which last time I lined up.

No longer hopeful at all as I’m an hour into it and barely half way. But still sticking with it just to see how long it takes for my feedback email to D23 on this

Don't give up hope! I had a conflict of 2 events with 30 minutes of eachother so I decided not to be greedy, and released the conflict storepass. Hopefully someone that REALLY wanted it, got it. Hoping other Disney peeps are that way too.

Same! I waited 20 minutes most to get into most of the stores. Plus, panel lines are never usually never crowded as long as you get there an hour to an hour and half early

OK I am all done, here is a summary.

I got 6 stage passes, 2 per day, for all my top choices including movies in Hall D23 on Saturday and Parks on Sunday.

For store pass and talent pass, I was offered at least 25 different choices for time slots across all three days. EVERY SINGLE TIME it would wait for 15-60 seconds and come back and say "sorry" and that all slots were taken. Then it would offer me that time slot again.

I finally gave up because stage pass was my top thing and I knew I had to CONFIRM to actually get those. So I hit Confirm. No store or talent pass for me because it would not let me choose anything it offered.

I now have an email as they promised in my box with my 6 stage pass confirmations. Hope that helps someone. Good luck and pixie dust to all of you!

An hour online and I'm not even 1/2 way there. People posting on Twitter than "Nothing is available for Friday." So basically we're all paying money to be there while watching panels on Youtube. Oh well. Such is the Con experience....

Well, I got two for 5 panels including parks and movies, but I'm a party of three. My second queue guy isn't half way through so guessing that's all I get. Gotta get into airplane mode for the next 5 hours, but I signed up for wifi on the plane to keep my queue going. We'll see but I'm betting I'm getting squat.
