*** Official November 2018 Thread - It's Turkey Lurkey Time! ***

For those going Jersey Week, or any busy week in November, what is your FP+ strategy??

We've gone the last two trips at the end of August when it's pretty slow. Last trip we made our FP+ for our PM park and never pulled additional FP+. We would hit an AM park, midday break by the pool and then PM park with our FP+. We never pulled additional ones since it was 2015 and you had to wait in line at the kiosk to get more. The lines were short enough at the rides that it didn't make sense to stand in the massive kiosk lines just to avoid the ride line. We never waited more than 15 minutes for a ride.

I'm thinking for Jersey Week it may be better to start booking FP+ around 10-11 am and then try getting additional ones. Or should I do my usual plan??

When exactly is Jersey Week?

When exactly is Jersey Week?

First full week of November when NJ schools have a convention. All schools are closed Thursday and Friday. My district also closes for Election Day and the other two days are half days. Lots of parents pull their kids out the whole week or go down Wednesday.

My sister and I just decided to run the F&W half in preparation for the 2019 marathon so guess I need to get another trip in the books! Super short trip 11/3-11/4 and we are staying at SoG.

Have a seat, pass the cranberry sauce and come plan with us! It's the November 2018 thread!

Where are you staying?

I will be there from 10/27'thru 11/10. Excited, but a little nervous since this will be my first solo trip in a long time. Staying at Saratoga Springs resort.

Add us to the November trips! I'll be kicking the month off with a stay 11/1-6 at the Grand Floridian for Wine & Dine weekend with my best friend! @Newsies Trying to back a family trip up to it, but not finding resorts I'd like with the military discount so I may do Shades of Green...if my husband will let me! But all set for W&D weekend at least!

My daughter and I are booked into POFQ from November 6th to November 14th! We are celebrating her graduation from university and how proud her Mama is! LOL @Newsies

Hello everyone!!!!!! My sister and myself are taking our kiddos to Disney Nov. 27th - Dec. 4th. We are booked at POP and we are soooo excited! I'm looking forward to planning with everyone!:-) @Newsies

Hello! We will be visiting 10/27-11/10 and staying at POR in a royal room. We just purchased our airfare the other day and it suddenly feels real, we haven't been back since our first trip in 2015, I'm SO excited! @Newsies

I'm looking forward to planning with ya'll!

Will be there 11/24-11/30, staying at CSR. First trip in many years and first with the kids. Can’t wait!

My DH officially got our vacation days approved! We will be at CSR November 24th to December 8th. It will be my family, my parents and my sisters family for a total of 10.

I can not wait, 283 days to go!

@Newsies This Jersey Girl is booked for Jersey week! *spins in a circle* I'll be staying at OKW Nov. 4-9, 2018!

Woohoo! Room opened at Poly and I snagged it; we are IN for the races! Doing the 5k and kids runs. First WDW runs; very excited. Nov. 1-6.

@Newsies

My DH, DD, DS and I will be at POP Nov 24 to Dec 4.

We went in 2015 but earlier in November. We loved MVMCP and can’t wait to go again.

Now that DS is 4 years old and not napping I’m excited to be able to stay at a park past noon!

Our November trip has been officially booked!! We will be stay at AKL Villas for the first time November 10-16. We are jumping out of our skins with excitement :jumping1:

We'll be at ASMu Nov 25-30!

Hello! I stepped away for awhile after our Nov/Dec trip. I had a Disney dream last night so I came back to see if their was an official Nov 2018 thread yet. We are doing a shorter girls only trip with my MIL, daughter and myself. Staying at POP 11/13-11/17. Ready to start planning, but not much can be done right now. Planning on doing MVMCP probably our last night. This will be my first time NOT doing park hopper and also staying pretty far out so I am anxious for park hours and party dates!

@Newsies We will be there November 10-17 for our Honeymoon, and BOTH of our Birthdays!! We are staying at Pop Century. We were going to rent DVC points this trip but my fiancee really liked Pop Century, so we decided to stay there again because we are familiar with it and spend most of our time out and about anyways!! LOVE those renovated rooms! I always go the second week of October so I am so excited to experience November! We are planning on two special dinners on our birthdays (had BOG last trip, I know I want CRT for my birthday), MVMCP, and Keys to the Kingdom! Anyone have any November advice they want to share?? I am hoping it isnt as hot and humid as October, but I will take what I can get.

260 days to go!!

We have 3 rooms booked for 11/10-11/18 and we staying at Port Orleans Riverside!

So excited to be staying at POR again and very excited to be going in November again, to see some Christmas decorations. We have gone Labor Day week the last 2 years and while the crowds are amazing, the weather is so iffy - hot, rainy and we had to cut our trip short due to Irma. So we are looking forward to better weather.

@Newsies

DH and I will be at WDW 11/4 - 11/12 and staying at Fort Wilderness Campground. This will be our 15th trip to The Fort bringing our home on wheels i.e. 30' TT Shasta Flyte.

I'm looking forward to seeing all the Christmas decorations. We usually go in October when the Halloween/ Fall decorations are amazing at FWC. I understand Christmas decorations are pretty great too.

Got confirmation that our DVC points rental came through today! Staying 11/25-12/1 at Old Key West Resort with DW & DD8. Probably do 5 days in the parks with a day in the middle to hang at the resort/hit Disney Springs. Psyched for planning again!

We’ll be there too!! Can’t wait! It’s our first visit to OKW. Three bedroom grand villa for 10 glorious nights :cool1:

Spirit just released their fares through November 3. Southwest releases tomorrow.

I checked Spirit for 11/2 which is the day we have to fly out. Out of Atlantic City it's $312 for a morning non stop flight. Our of Philadelphia it's $257 for a morning non stop flight. Out of Baltimore $58. I'm going to wait to see what Southwest has tomorrow and decide then. Looks like we may be making the 2 hour drive to Baltimore. If the difference were smaller I would pay the extra and fly out of Philadelphia but that's a huge savings. Didn't think it would be worth flying out of Baltimore for just two people. I thought wrong!!!!

Jersey Week really drives up the prices!

March 2017 was our first trip where you didn't have to visit the kiosk for additional FP. It's so nice!
We make FP+ for our first park for late morning just like you said - starting around 10 (anything before that is rope drop). Make them for the hardest to get FP, like Mine Train, FOP, any of the mountains, Soarin' etc. Then once you use your third one start looking for more - either at your current park or different one if you've hopped. Keep hitting refresh (sometimes obsessively, lol) and grab additional FP as you go. This worked well for us in March and we plan to do it again for Jersey Week trip.

Yup I'm pretty sure that's going to be our plan! With only two people I'm hoping it's much easier to get additional FP+.

My son is their now for his senior trip and he's been doing all same day FP+. He's gotten everything he's wanted except for FOP.

I booked through SIlver airways. Not sure about them since they are fairly new, but they are the newest nonstop flight from my tiny town. Saves me having to drive 3 hours to Nashville.

Looking to go for the first time in November and need advice about when is the best time. Only doing 3-4 nights since we did a long trip in Feb. What week would you recommend for best crowds? Thanks in advance, so excited to be there in November with you fine folks :)
