Disney's Club Level (CL) Information & Questions

Help! Please! Again. LOL!
I know I’ve asked before, but the reality of booking (vs. simply contemplating booking) my December 2018 Bounceback is setting in- because I’m leaving in less than two weeks for my GF SL CL stay!!!!!
We were going to do WL Standard CL for December 2018 (had booked this but cancelled since we’re so indecisive), but we are also considering CR TPV CL, or even going back to GF SL CL. RPC TPV is a dream, but it’s probably a bit more than we’d like to spend.
**Important factors for us:**
- sleep 5 or sleep 4 with bunk bed option
- quieter resort
- full balcony (fireworks view a plus as kiddos go to bed early, but hubby and I do not)
- convenience to parks/ good transportation - GREAT concierge staff and club lounge offerings (I’m a sucker for good customer service!)!
Please weigh in, and thank you VERY much in advance!!! :lovestruc

Sounds like you described the Contemporary Atrium Club to me.

I love the pool area at CR because it's not so crazy like Poly. The round pool out by the water is so nice because it's 5ft deep in the center, with views of the lake and boats , resorts and monorail. The palm trees swaying in the breeze and wafting sounds of MK ....:cloud9:

I agree with trisha. Sounds like what you're describing is CR TPV CL. Good luck and happy planning :wizard:.

@trishadono , thank you so much for your input!!!! It sounds wonderful!!! :)
My hesitations with CR:
1. CL food and beverage offerings aren’t as extensive as those from GF, for example.
2. We’re BIG into Christmas, and CR holiday decor/ experience doesn’t measure up to GF and WL!
However, I know there are pluses and minuses to each resort! Were you satisfied with the Atrium club lounge offerings? Thank you so much in advance! :flower1:

Ooohh...decisions, decisions! Since we have stayed at both CR and WL CL I will throw my two cents in on those (also have stayed at GF CL but not in RPC) . I think WL is the most quiet, good transportation to MK and TTC but....did find the balcony smaller (especially with a dormier) and while we liked the CL food there was not a big selection. CR is more crowded, and elevators can be really slow. On the plus side, walk to MK is unbeatable and food was more plentiful at CR. We thought staff were great at both so would cosmdier that a draw.

Okay, I cancelled the Kona ADR. I ended up booking a 6:15 Hoop-Dee-Doo ADR for our arrival day, which is kind of the opposite of a low-key dinner at the resort, but HDD seemed like a good use of time on a day when we wouldn't be using a park ticket. There's just so much I want to do! My husband jokes that I'm trying to "win Disney." :stitch:
One thing to keep in mind:

If you are delayed on arrival day for any reason, and ADR has a $10 No Show fee. Not being able to make it to the Hoop-Dee-Do may result in losing the WHOLE amount paid at the time of booking. :worried:

Is anyone at CR CL right now? Someone I know is there and complaining about the food. Said it is 'mostly cold cuts' and last night there was 'a pot of something that looked like gravy' but no other hot choices. Wanted to hear some other experiences.

I agree not the most amount of food but what they have is good. The service is nice there tho. They are great about taking wine/beer back to the room and snacks too.

With MKV or from lounge I do enjoy that MASSIVE tree out in front of the resort!

Also the lounges do decorate for the holidays.

@Eastern - yikes! Would love to hear about this as well!

@Gryhndmom , thank you for this great comparison! I appreciate it! :)

The times I have been there it is more of appetizers and not "make a meal out of it" stuff.

I am such a light eater it worked for me since I prefer my lunch as my biggest meal.

If people want to have meals I would suggest a different CL, thats not their strength.

I don't think they were complaining that it wasn't a meal, but that there were no good hot choices.

@trishadono , agreed, we aren't planning on making CL offerings our meals- we are doing the meal plan. But I can't help but be wowed by a good spread ;)!

Are you planning on coming back to the resort during park hours? I feel like Dining Plan is worthwhile if you're only going to make it to CL for breakfast/late night desserts/drinks, then it's not like you're going to have too much food.

I don't think they were complaining that it wasn't a meal, but that there were no good hot choices.

I will say the CR hot choices are pretty minimal, IMHO. Just the soup and usually one item on the hot tray. The other items are cold mini plates. I went back to my pics from earlier this fall (CR Atrium Club - Sept 2017) just to remind myself.

If they have reduced things further from what you see in my pics, that would be pretty bad!

I sometimes do wish they would add to the evening app offerings at CR though.

A meal plan with CL is a lot of food. You may want to consider dropping your meal plan and just pay out of pocket.

We are planning to eat breakfast in the lounge, perhaps afternoon snacks if we come back for a midday rest from the parks, and in the evening hubby and I will eat desserts and enjoy some drinks on the balcony while the kids sleep! We are doing lots of character dinners for the kiddos (CRT, BOG, Bon Voyage breakfast, Akershus, 'Ohana, Chef Mickey's, 1900 PF)!
