We are booked from Jan 28-Feb 3 with Stay Play and Dine. We've never stayed at CSR before, only Pop and ASMo. I'm really looking forward to our first moderate stay!

Without having to search every page of this post, is there a map showing the actual location of of the construction of the new tower? What page in this thread?

"While Cabanas 9B is still visible on this map, the building itself has been demolished to make way for the 15-story 500 room tower set to open in Summer 2019."

OMG! I wanted to book Business Class for end of January. I had no idea the Tower was going to replace 9B. That was our favorite building in all of the moderates. So are there any business class rooms with a lounge that they made anywhere else at Coronado Springs? So disappointed.

No.

Thanks .... I saw that... but was wondering if there was maybe a map/artwork showing where the new tower will be along with the new walkways, etc.

I'm trying to add on a room at the beginning of our stay, if I can't get one, any recommendations on where to stay that night. I would like to stay onsite as opposed to the airport or something. Somewhere it is relatively easy to get to CSR in the morning.

We are arriving Dec 31st and our Disney package doesn't begin until Jan 1. We are staying at the Springhill Suites at Flamingo Crossing for our first night. According to Google Maps, it is located right at Western Way (it is the West entrance) and is only 5 miles to Coronado Springs.

I haven't read all the posts, so I apologize if this has been asked before. We are going the first week of February 2018. Are the pools heated?
We were there last Dec. We went to the Cabanas quiet pool twice. First time it was quite chilly but we got in. Second time we couldn't get in it was too cold so we went over to try the main pool at the dig site and walked right in, had to be 10 degrees warmer than our quiet pool.

We are checked out of CS and here at the Wilderness Lodge.

We really miss out renovated room. It was a whole cut above the standard room here. The feel of CS was nice as well, different sort of folk who stayed there. WL is very impressive looking but with the split stay we have for this trip CS wins in almost every category.

Google to know. We'll keep this in mind on our next trip. Any idea what the main pool hours are usually during Nov?

I take all online reviews at places like Trip Advisor with extreme caution. There is little to no moderation of those posts so people can (and sometimes do) exaggerate experiences they’ve had. We have stayed at CSR literally dozens of times. We often stay more than once a year and we’ve never experienced anything like that. The Cast Members have always been helpful. Any minor issues we’ve encountered have been resolved to our satisfaction in a timely manner.

IMHO I find people are more likely to want to rant and rave about a bad experience than upload a good report so I also take them with a pinch of salt too.

Thank you so much for taking time from your trip to provide "real time" experiences at CSR. Although I am kinda bummed about no poop pictures!! We stayed at WL many years ago and loved the resort but the rooms were just meh.

Thanks for the info. I booked ASM for the first night. Room only rate was only about $125. I still wanted to take the magical express from the airport. It looks to be a 10 min drive away. I'll keep checking to see if something opens up before March.

BTW we arrived on Dec 31 last year and was able to add a room only reservation for that night before our package started. But that was at POR. I wasn't overly impressed by it. I'm looking forward to going back to CSR. Have a good trip!

So I just heard Pepper Market is going down for refurbishment in January? Anyone else hear this or know any further details?

Anybody checking in in the next few days...we will have an unopened case of 24 700ml bottles of zephyrhills spring water leftover from our grocery delivery (wasn't as sweltering as we had planned, so we didn't drink as much!)

Free to the first reply here, just leave your last name and check in date. We'll have it at bell services by noon on Thurs.

Pay it forward!

We are a family of 5, and staying in a junior suite at CSR. One night in a junior suite on Dec 31st was WAY more than the $200 at Springhill. It was CRAZY expensive everywhere that night so I started looking outside Disney! We are flying into Sanford, so will be renting a car anyway. If we had been able to use Magical Express I might have thought about it! Hope you have a good trip too!
