Ok I can breathe again. Thank you so much. You can officially forget about us (til you get back!) and enjoy your vacation!!!

Night report...

I want to give kudos to the "night" staff. I went wandering about to go refill my soda mug and went through the pool area on my way back. It's a cool evening and absolutely no one is in there. Didn't matter. The life guards were still patrolling like hawks, the music was playing with no one there, and the staff was still smiling and having a good time. Sure, it could have been all a show, but doesn't matter, its how they acted is what matters. At the main lobby everyone that I walked past said hello, so the staff appears outwardly friendly.

Movie under the Stars is a pretty low key event, its played over by the Dig Site, not many folks out there tonight but it did look like a nice chill event to attend if your kids want to be up and out doing things

Also, I just noticed the TV in this room tilts right and left. It's a 65" Samsung (I think, I don't have my ruler handy), what a nice upgrade over what is normally found in rooms like this. This might be the first hotel (resort, sorry.) room I have ever been in with a TV larger than what is actually needed. Normally you find tiny little nothings, here there is this monster up on the wall. Thumbs up.

Since we have you checking in live, would you mind sharing what inputs if any are accessible on the TV?

I just booked CSR today for Monday, I had Pop but have never done a value or moderate and CSR 70 bucks more...so no brained.
We are just heading down for Halloween! Arriving at midnight so this should be interesting and I will post photos or videos, what any question someone might have.

For at least the renovated room we are in:

@Colleen27 - Physically, yes, they are all right on the side of the TV and easy to access. I can go through them on the menu as well and select them, but as I have nothing to test it with I can't confirm if they are actually usable or locked out by the system. I can't switch to one as it doesn't detect anything plugged in.

@cruise cruise cruise - Yup. They are.

I do see how the bus situation can be miserable here. We just used Bus Stop 4 (riding the bus now as I type this). Magic Kingdom bus took a half hour to come. Second to last stop. It got pretty full. El Centro comes next and last before heading out. By the time it got there room was at a premium. Driver had to stack everyone as close as possible. Any more folks who would have been in line had to wait for the next bus and hope for the best. Ouch. So pro tip: go to stops 1 or 2 to guarantee a spot at peak times. We all made it on so we can't complain but at peak park times that may not be the case.

I really appreciate the real time info! Thank you! Looking forward to your next post.

I have been trying to figure this out also. Looking at the pic of the shower from easywdw's review and this one I just found, I "think" there is a little shelf in one corner. http://www.carfulofkids.com/2017/05/make-disney-dollars-coronado-springs-resort/

Thanks for that pic! That's the first one I've seen where you can see some sort of shelf. I remember staying at 1 BR at BWV a few years ago and there was nothing to prop your foot/leg on and I had to shave my legs separately in the garden tub -- I hated that.

Anyone who has stayed in a renovated room with a shower-only, that would be great if you could let us know for sure!

Thank you Cayaco for taking time from your trip to post. I am, once again, excited about staying at CSR. Hope you and your family have a great trip not staying at the Superfund Site!!!

Are all the rooms in each section going to look like this one? I'm just curious if there is still any section specific theming going on in the rooms.

@saskdw - might be a 50, I have a bad sense for size. Whatever size it is, it's more than enough.

So, without further ado, here's the video, filmed in ultra hd 4k hdr vr for your viewing pleasure. No it's not, my phone is a 59 dollar potato, but it gets the point across.

Just booked for next December (2018), my 50th birthday!!! We booked a water view room. Where might those be and should I request something specific if we'd like to be close to a pool and bus stop????

Hi everyone! Just looking for a little advice. My DH and I are visiting Coronado in December. It looks as though the resort is completely booked when we are there, which makes me nervous for our chances for a renovated room. I made it our only request when I called over the phone.

I'd like to do online check-in soon. I'm not sure if I should make any requests at all as our only hope is getting a renovated room. What do you think?

I will also fax a room request that states that we would like a renovated room. I know I have read a lot of reviews stating that older rooms were moldy, and I have allergies - would you suggest that I mention this in the room request fax or just leave that out?

Any advice is appreciated!

I suggest skipping the room request section during Online Check In. Its broken right now anyway. Nothing wrong with detailing why you would like a renovated room.

I think they were 32" before so yes 50" is a huge improvement. 65" would be crazy! LOL

Hi everyone!
I have just booked a stay at CSR for March for my very first stay there! It will just be me and my son (8) for 2 nights. Very excited to try something new! Love reading all the info!

Here's the crazy part: This portion of the stay comes at the end of the main purpose of the trip. I convinced my school administrators to let me plan a Disney Youth Education Series trip with 35 high school students! The majority of these students have never been to Disney, and many have actually never been on a real vacation. So including chaperones and a couple family members, I'm organizing a group of 49 people on a Disney vacation! We're staying at Pop Century as a group, also a first for me. Then, after 5 days of go, go, go (and me trying not to cry every time the kids get to experience a Disney first), my son and I are adding on a couple days to relax after what will probably be the craziest Disney trip ever.

I have a feeling it will be much needed.
