So I requested 80s/90s section. Called and requested a referbished room and I just got my room ready text and I’m in 60s going to stop at the front desk and see...wish me luck.

Anyone confused about whether to opt-out or opt-in Mousekeeping because of inconsistencies? I have been reading this thread since before the first trial and it seems like those who opt-out get Mousekeeping even when they aren’t supposed to and those who want to keep Mousekeeping have a hard time to get their room done? How many received the level of service they actually had chosen?

I've never considered skipping mousekeeping. When I'm on vacation, I want to come back to a clean room with the beds made and fresh towels.


Funny story - During our first trip a couple years ago, when we got back to the room after our first day at the parks, my daughter was shocked and said, "Hey, somebody was in our room, they made my bed and moved all my stuffed animals." This was her first time in a hotel and we never thought to mention that the maid would come in and clean our room every day while we were gone. She got a kick out of it each day coming back to see how her animals were arranged and if there was a towel animal left for her.

I wish there was a way to put in your room requests on-line, but without starting the check-in process. And, without have to go thru calling.

I like to go to the front desk when I check-in. So, I guess the only thing to do is to call and have them put in the requests? (We are preferred, but I like to request the 1st floor in the 70s.)

I know that, I booked a standard room too. Really thought I covered all my bases. We are transferring from AKV where my request was not met there either

Seems like a very good chance. It began August 1 so that seems like it fits the timeline.

I'm only going to be there 4 nights, so it really isn't worth it to opt out of housekeeping because I would just get $20, right? My last short stay at POP was also 4 nights and one afternoon I just told the housekeeping that I didn't need her services for that day but could I have more soaps and stuff. I kind of a Disney soap/shampoo hoarder.

I would do the same TBH. I kept housekeeping on a 3-nt/4-day trip. Just felt like spending time at the front desk (or calling) to opt out wasn't worth $10. (Did online checkin, so never went to the front desk.) I would probably decline on a 5+ night stay, though, because I usually put out the Do Not Disturb sign anyway.

I became an unwitting soap/shampoo hoarder on that trip. On the one day I didn't put out the sign, housekeeping came by while I was waiting for sunscreen to soak in before going to the pool. I only needed the trash and recycling emptied, but the housekeeper insisted on leaving extra towels/coffee/toiletries.

Just checked out of the 80's section on Sun. I talked to a worker about the rooms in the 70's section. He said they complete 12 rooms a day. They still have a lot of work to do. Some rooms haven't even been touched. They are making progress but it looks like it will take a while.

You would be eligible for a $30 credit if you chose to participate. Credits are based on the number of nights of your stay minus 1 for checkout day.

Woohoo! So glad it work out for you! Had you also sent a fax? (Just curious) I'm doing online check in, have called in notes on reservation, and will do a TP fax.

My Online check in for room request just says "Select" and nothing is in the drop down. Tried that tricks for accepting terms and incognito still no options. Touring Plans faxed my request yesterday. Should I call or just let the touring plan fax be it?

This may have already been answered, by the WDW website has problems with any browser other than Internet Explorer.

He was working on bldg 10, I could see where they have to repair the outside wall damage. It seems like they are concentrating in that area more than other parts of the section. More workers were going there in the mornings.
