9/16/2017 Magic Transatlantic from Barcelona

All of this flight change talk made me check our schedule, which is thankfully unchanged. Sorry you are going through this hassle @olafLover.

I did notice that Norwegian wanted us to update our passport information at least 72 hours in advance of travel, which I didn't realize and would have hoped they sent an email reminder. I took care of it now, but I am curious.

I can't tell on Norwegian if they actually got our passport info since I did it right after we booked our tickets because it still shows you can update that info. So not sure if it's actually there o_O

I got my euros ordered yesterday with Bank of America. Geesh! What an ordeal!!! I had to go into a local branch to order since I only have a credit card with them and according to their website, I should be able to order currency with them with just a card, just have to go into local branch to do it. The local branch had no clue what to do. First they told me I had to be an acct. member (incorrect). I told them according to their website that was inaccurate. They said they had nothing to do with the website and I'd have to make an appt. to come back (ok, will do). So, I did receive a call before the appt. saying I was correct (duh ralph, nice to know you're up to speed with your own company's policies:sad2:). They wanted me to bring "cash" but according to my bank, I should be able to do a cash advance. So I tried to withdraw the cash from the ATM but the amount was too high and was unable to do it. So I had no option to do the cash advance. Once I met with the bank manager, who was very very nice (he waived the delivery fee) it took an hour for them to do the cash advance and order the currency (because no one knew how to do it)! So, big lesson for everyone involved: both myself and my local BOA now know how to order euros!! Glad I didn't put it off another day since there is that little holiday called Labor Day that will hold up my order.

And to add more stress, my youngest DS decided to break his wrist yesterday in soccer. I had my nose in a cook book I had just bought, not paying attention to practice, and I guess he was trying out goalie position (without protective gloves) and blocked a goal (good for him, but bad for wrist). Pretty annoyed with coach that he didn't have DS wearing appropriate gear for position. But oh well...now need to make sure that my mom will be able to take him to all follow-up appointments while gone (don't trust goofy MIL, who lives with us and is "watching" the boys while we're gone). My blood pressure now through the roof!

And still haven't started to pack:scared1::scared1::scared1:

Even when I give my info at time of booking they still seem to ask you to update again later on so that's on my still to do list. Think I might do that today.

OMG stress stress stress

Auch, good luck with your son elvispursley! It's not nice the have to leave him behind while hurt.

It's past 5 o'clock and still no word about our flight back...

OMG I hope to God you've phoned them? This is crazy! Too days of stress you really didn't need.

I'm currently on hold. The one I got today got the brilliant idea to call the airline company! Why didn't anybody think of that before? (Well, actually, the first one promised me she would)

EDIT: The airline didn't answer the phone. She could see that the flight was still available, but also that is was changed. She couldn't find out why. It's been transferred to somebody else. But no matter what they'll change it back. I'll hear back from them today :P (she even mentioned that she knew this was promised before)

OMG, this is the pre-vacation time where you have everything you were required to do done and should just be anticipating packing and leaving. I am so sorry that this major scheduling snafu has you jostling with reps to get it straightened out. You probably said this previously, but what airline is it?

Luckily I can work while I'm on hold ;) only the nasty beebing in my ear ;)
It's Iceland Air, but I didn't book through them (because using this company (Gate1) was cheaper). No idea where it went wrong though, for me it feels like at the company, but I don't know why (or when). The other annoying thing is, right after we booked I picked our seats so we would be sure to sit next to each other. I checked our flight to Barcelona (which we did book through the airline), and it's all filled up, so now I wonder if we will be able to sit next to each other if we are finally on the correct flight again. Oh well, we'll get home... at some point...

Hope it's resolved today so you can have a peaceful weekend!

Wow, what a hassle. I hope you don't have to wait to long to get your order.

Ouch! I feel so bad for your son, and I hope that you and your husband can relax while on vacation trusting he is in good hands.

I don't even know if I have any words left except I hope this gets resolved asap.

I'll have a peaceful weekend anyway. I going to (hopefully) buy my wedding dress, aaaaah!

THAT IS AWESOME. It truly is a special shopping experience (I still remember mine 40 years late)! Have fun.

Seriously they sound like idiots.

I hope to god they offer you compensation after they sort this as it's the least they could do. Hoping it's sorted now but if not my fingers are still crossed for you

On a positive the Barcelona strike on 15th has been called off (well delayed) so less stressed here

Someone just posted about the VAT and VAT refunds on the main cruise board. Will we have to deal with VAT added to on board prices? I never considered that... Is that something we'd have to deal with in connectiom to purchases we make in Barcelona before the cruise?

So what is the latest thoughts on the mysterious ship activity? And what is Frozen night? Should I pack anything special for it? We currently have dinner st 6 for Palo's but are hoping to modify it once on board to brunch. If we can't get brunch should we at least change dinner to another night so we don't miss something for the ship activity?
