2017 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival: August 31, 2017 - November 13, 2017

So it looks like this year they are allowing you to use it for all the other Champagnes:
Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin “Yellow Label” Brut – $13.00
Moët & Chandon Brut Rosé Imperial – $16.00
as well as the 2 pricey Kurt Russell wines:
Kurt Russell’s Gogi Wines Chardonnay Gogi “Goldie”, California – $10.00
Kurt Russell’s Gogi Wines Pinot Noir, California – $15.00

Looks like if you do your research it is going to be worth getting to use for Alcoholic drinks as those 4 alone add up to $64.
AHHHH!!!!! AHHHHH!!!! SO. EXCITED. SO. SO. EXCITED. I literally just posted how I have to up my champagne budget, but I hadn't quite caught up on the thread yet. MADE. MY. DAY. Now to calm down since I have 2 months before I go...

Basically the tab sampler is only a good value for a few of the wines and most of the cocktails. Zero food items are a good value this year. C'mon, Disney.

I'm a little peeved at the size of the ice wine. Other wines have a much larger glass and the price is already inflated. BTW. That swine brine looks absolutely disgusting

That's the way it's always been. That's why you need to do your research and figure out if there are 8 drink items you want that will allow you to at least break even on the cost of the Tasting Sampler because in reality it's only a good deal if you use it as a Drinking Sampler.

Last year there were a few food items that were within the value range of the tabs.

I didn't get to go last year because I was in the middle of moving 3/4 of the way across the country. I know in the past the Filet & Lobster Roll fell at the low end of the break even scale. If you add a couple of the $10 or more drinks with those you should still come out ahead.

Last year, you got better value when you bought the 16 coupon sampler which they are not offering at all this year. Which stinks BTW.

The 2016 price of the 8 pack was $59 and the 16 pack was $108. So plus tax, coupons from the 16 pack came to $7.19 each. The lobster roll, filet mignon and lamb chop were all over that amount.

I have not read this entire board but just wanted to do a quick report
Was at Epcot at 10am. Got in line for the ap le pin only waited about 20 for that from the pins tore next to the Fountain of Nations
Started streaming at 10:45am by the Future World booths, they all opened right on time at 11am.
I love the look and feel of the Future World booths, a lot of shade provided and chairs and places to sit and place your food. Also happy to report that there are more umbrellas around World Showcase, very well needed as today's heat index is creeping up to 105 degrees. No long lines other than Hawaii around 12:30pm but that's expected. Most lines I saw were only about 5 minutes long.
Sad to see the Fisherman's Pie gone
The booth at the back of Italy looks cool
The only thing I had was the apple/kiwi/strawberry drink from the light lab (next to club cool) btw this area is really nice, indoors, nice use of blacklight, CM dressed in lab coats, kids are sure to get a kick from it.
Since I was streaming I didn't get to try anything but I am going back Monday for actual food
If you guys are coming I cannot recommend the early touring enough. Make sure to bring an umbrella for shade and drink plenty of water, it was brutally hot today.
Saw Rhino walking around so I'm sure he will bring a nice blog post

Via Napoli has a pizza window?! Is this just for F&W??

View attachment 265985
If this is the same window that has been used in the past, this might be bordering on false advertising. In the past, this window (which is adjacent to Via Napoli) has served run of the mill theme park pizza slices. Not food from Via Napoli.

Thanks for doing this! I'll probably bring this list of drinks up when I'm there. :) We've got multiple food and wine days planned into the trip for a reason.

I'm going with my friend (her first time!) and our plan is to split the cost of everything 50/50 since we are planning to share each dish. After looking at the prices of the mixed drinks, I think we will both purchase the sampler as well. This way, we don't have to share beverages (ew!), but we can also drink according to our preferences. I've already made my list of "must try's" so now I just have to plug in the prices to get an estimate of what she needs to bring.

My BFF & I got 2 8-tab samplers for our 1.5 day trip a couple years ago and totally regretted it. We were interested in lots of the cocktails but we could barely drink half of most of them because they were SO sugary. However, "ew" factor wasn't a consideration for us. (Not judging btw! Drink sharing isn't for everyone!)

TY TY for posting this!

We're not big fans of Via Napoli's food in general, but their Pizza Window is fantastic! It's not open when we go...aside from F&W last year, but we're thrilled!

The pizza crust is thick and yummy. Almost focaccia-like and has a distinct olive oil flavor to it....Totally different than anything at WDW and certainly not run of the mill theme park pizza. It's also great to see the meatball sandwich back!
