2017 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival: August 31, 2017 - November 13, 2017

I think that last year, only food and drink from the "market places" were covered by the sampler coupons, meaning the special drinks at Joffrey's carts were excluded.

I would be thrilled if that restriction is gone.

I definitely used these for Joffrey's frozen special drinks last year. (Though I know sometimes the rules changed from cart to cart or throughout the festival.)

I hope so, Chris. Those would be a fine use of sampler coupons.

Exclusions on the use of tabs:
  • All beers larger than 6 oz.
  • All tasting flights
  • Dom Perignon champagne
  • The Artist Palette of Wine and Cheese
So it looks like this year they are allowing you to use it for all the other Champagnes:
Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin “Yellow Label” Brut – $13.00
Moët & Chandon Brut Rosé Imperial – $16.00
as well as the 2 pricey Kurt Russell wines:
Kurt Russell’s Gogi Wines Chardonnay Gogi “Goldie”, California – $10.00
Kurt Russell’s Gogi Wines Pinot Noir, California – $15.00

Looks like if you do your research it is going to be worth getting to use for Alcoholic drinks as those 4 alone add up to $64.

Considering how much they raised the prices, I'm glad they're at least giving us these. Not that I wouldn't have ended up with at least on Sampler for alcoholic drinks anyway. Can't pass up an included pin. :P

Great news! Those Gogi wines were VERY good last year and they're super hard to find. Champagne here I come!

Slowly but surely updating my spreadsheet. Keeping the 2016 prices on the far right side so you can see the increase/decrease (YES, there are decreases!) in pricing.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE your spreadsheet!

Thank you! Wonderful resource for us. :thumbsup2
It also underlines my gut sense that the Tasting Sampler works for the "drink" but is a fail on the "food." Nothing wrong with that as long as people know it up front. In past years, I have visited with other guests in line at the booths who just purchased the Sampler and as they look at the menu prices, they slowly start to understand that the sampler is not a great value for food. Possibly it's a convenience but loading a fixed amount on the wristlet is still the way to go if your main focus at F&W is food.

First timer at F&W: those of you buying beer, wine, frozen drinks from booths - do you tip? I always tip bartenders when ordering drinks, but usually not walkup/takeout food places or food trucks unless they're preparing something complex like a specialty coffee drink.
(Sorry if question was already asked - still trying to work through the 122+ pages) :surfweb:
No. The drinks are all basically pre-prepped, they're not prepared fresh like a bartender would.

I added up what I thought I might like, getting at least one thing from each booth and it came to around $116, not bad. So I figure I'll buy a $200 wrist gift card, who wants to bet that puppy gets reloaded with at least $100 more dollars?
It's the champagne booth that kills me- sorry "Orchard" booth- but I'm on vacation and if I want to keep buying $16 mini-champagne flutes by George I will! However, I think the Moet I liked a couple years ago was $12 and now it's a rose and $16 but what the heck, time to pad my F&W budget with a bit more...
