:scared1::scared1::scared1: And you want to be happy that people that you love are joining you but....
I can't take this stress! My DH does try. He took me to WDW for our 10 year anniversary and then spent the first day complaining about the lines, the heat, the food. I broke down the night and told him we should just go home. He shaped up. The next night we got to watch Monday night football from the recliners at ESPN, so he was grateful. I've told him this time that he's NOT ruining even a moment for the kids. :earseek: (I'm nervous for him)
My husband is not a Disney fan until he actually gets to Disney, then he is fine. He just hates the prep work (driving in LA traffic, parking, dealing with security, and the tram with a stroller at DL; the airport with my millions of bags, strollers, etc, TSA, car rental process at WDW--- not to or to mention my crazy planning during the months leading up to it). After those are complete, he is pretty happy (and he does appreciate my planning later on!).

Thank you!

My little one is a teenager and is still excited about meeting the chr's lol.

Both my girls still love the characters. My DH will not discuss any talk of them not being real. Lol!! We do all the meet and greets including characterpalooza. But they are just old enough now to want better food over character meals.

We are still doing CP and Ohana breakfast.

I don't believe you can add on dining plan with the labour day exclusives.
Maybe they were paying out of pocket for what TS and QS they wanted. I wasn't paying that much attention as I know I can't afford a Deluxe resort. All I know is they were getting way better rates than FD.

I'm completely lost, I have gone back pages and pages. Has 'for sure' dates come out yet? What are they? Will it happen Monday?

I'm just wondering does RO discount actually work better foranyone?
I mean it certainly does NOT for me. EVER.
Example:
2 adults in ASMo standard room $111 per night with a 20% discount making it $105 per night.
Over 4 nights that is a total savings of $24.
Free QSDP $48 per person per night. $96 per night. 4 nights. Total savings of $384.
BTW we'd already be getting the dining plan anyways.
Definitely not trying to argue but it always just confuses me why people say FD is not a good discount.

Depending on the RO discount, im finding it comparable to FD. Can get CDN tix and RO vs costs for PH AND upgrade dining plan.

Yep, this year my son will be choosing more food, besides just the chicken nuggets, and stuff. I am trying to find some things. I am wondering about the Norwegian meatballs from the Epcot princes' meal. He might like them lol.
I think this will be the last trip with huge Chr meal plans. But I am also using some chr meals for shows, or other savings time. When I add up how long it would take to stand in line for cp, F, or Rol then now we are eating and seeing chrs.
Minnies, Tusker house, and My german buffet I wanted(with show )
Adding those three oop almost pay for the upgrade to DDP.

Absolutely nothing is 100% certain until it's on the disney site. Sometime Monday - last year it was around 4am EST. could be anytime though. We have plenty of leaked reliable sources, but nothing set in stone until disney themselves put it on the website :)

I step out for a while and look what happens. What else is there to say that hasn't been said from the start?

Wow you're finally here.
Basically we just wanted you to confirm or deny the rumors that another poster posted since you seem to be in the know.
Even if you knew absolutely nothing new I would have loved for you to come on and say that lol.

First time poster here! We have a reservation at POR from 8/24-8/30. We have never been there before. We go to Disney about every 3 years. Last two times we stayed at BC and YC. Really can't afford Deluxe prices this year... I'm sad about the QS offered at the moderates. I'm sitting here wondering what I can do to earn extra money to upgrade....garage sale? Second job? LOL Is there anyone who has stayed at POR and really liked it?

We have only been to WDW twice and both times stayed at POR. We loved it, and the kids did, too! Great food court, nice pools, grounds are lovely, and you can take a boat to DS.

Me too. FD would still save us a little but I am leaning towards going with RO and CDN tix to have more flexibility with our dates and our resort. So many curve balls this year everyone should get an Honorary Disney Math Degree!:teeth:

Guys now I'm just running around like a chicken with my head cut off. I've got to get it together. pixiedust:

Now there will be 5 of us. My DH will only be joining us for 3 of our 10 nights. Now I'm trying to decide if it's worth it to pay for him like he's with us the whole time and get those extra Dining credits or book a second room for him on those three nights and pay OOP. Also debating whether we should just upgrade to a deluxe to get all five of us in one room. Can anyone tell me which deluxe resorts accommodate 5?

I haven't been here in quite some time but reading all of this has my blood pressure through the roof :crazy2:. My question is...we have nothing booked yet as I've heard that the more people who book, the less likely free dining will be offered because there is no need for a promotion if all the rooms are booked. But now I'm getting super nervous, lol. We are hoping for a suite at AOA November 25-dec 3rd. Would I have better luck staying up all night Sunday (we live in Canada..not sure what time free dining is supposed to come out?) and trying to get it myself, or would a travel agent have better luck than I would?

Math Check needed!
I'm just trying to 100% make sure that the RO discount is better for us than FD but I keep getting numbers that are very close/similar.
-2 adults staying at the Poly (9/13-9/22- 10 days, 9 nights) standard view
I don't remember what our average room cost per night was since we booked in Feb. and on the website they have no availability now for those dates. I looked at the same days but a week earlier (9/6-9/15) and it shows up as an average of $458/night (w/o tax) for Poly standard view. Would one week difference be a huge change in price?
I have also put what we will likely be eating (with the exception of snacks at F&W) and our ADRs into the dining calculator (distripplanner.com) to see how much we will pay OOP for food (1 dessert per meal and 2 snacks per person per day) and that comes out to $1569 roughly. However even with a dining plan all of our meals would not be covered. So with an average of $458 and an assumed 30% discount that is $137 per night x 9 nights for $1,236 savings. FD for a deluxe $69.35 per adult/night = $1,248.30 savings. But we would still pay OOP almost $244 for meals not covered by DDP. And now my brain hurts from all of the numbers.......

P.S. We are going regardless of discounts as this is our Honeymoon but a discount would be nice!
