Disney Gift Card Deals

I just tried purchasing a walgreens GC with my ebay GC and kept getting an error.

"We removed any gift cards, coupons, or eBay Bucks you already applied. You can try using them on a future purchase."

UPDATE: I logged into paypal to verify my account and it went through. no problems at all :cool1:

Ebay is tempting me with Kmart "Pre-Owned Paper Card" at 5% off. Plus 10% ebucks. I have been successful converting Kmart to Disney. But the "Pre-Owned Paper Card" has me scared. I know eGC are troubling at Kmart. But I'm not sure about these. Anyone have any experience with these???
If I'm not mistaken you won't get Ebucks on them since it's under $50 regardless of how many you buy.

CardCash .com is offering 5% off on ALL gift cards today, if you use the code RAINING.

They have GameStop - which I believe can still be turned to Southwest, Starbucks (not many left) and several gas companies, plus a lot more.
Thank you for posting!!!!

I'd love to know what exactly they returned without a receipt to have a merchandise credit that big......

Yeah, I wonder too! I think the listing says they have three of the same amount. Seems strange but seller seemed very friendly and responded to me quickly. It is a good deal for someone who spends that much on just merchandise.

I ordered a gift card from Disney with my PayPal money earned from Swagbucks. It came in the mail today, but the envelope hadn't been sealed!!! Thankfully my card was still in there and the money still on it. I transferred it to another card just to be safe.

Wow. That was a financially fueled emotional rollercoaster.

I haven't checked this forum in about a month. So over the last 50 pages, we got ebay>ebay temporarily back, didn't come as scheduled, came, lost all ebucks earning on GC and ebucks to gc as of january.

For reals. Well, one door closes, another should open.

@Lain Wow, thanks for finding that, really appreciate you doing that! Hmm, definitely seems rather limiting. I'd hate to want to shop in a store and that one wouldn't accept the merchandise credit card. Thx for your help!

@wendow Thank you! I tried to message them twice yesterday later in and evening but it said seller couldn't be reached which I thought was weird.

@Bree @wendow Yeah, it's and odd amount at like $643.51 or something like that. And, yeah she has three more in the same amount which definitely seems weird. It is also definitely a good deal, we could spend that in a couple trips. But, even my instinct is its legit, thinking I really don't want to take the chance just in case. Idk, hate being indecisive and not being positive which way to go, lol. And it is a good deal, but why are they taking a $90 hit on it. Plus if use is limited to particular stores...

Thanks to all who answered!

Anyone making any purchases for the ebucks today? I think I'll probably go with the $50 Wgc's, netting me $30, which is better than nothing, worth a dinner, a few drinks, some f&w items...

@Minniekins i feel the same as you. It is a good deal but very risky. There is no way to protect the money on the card over the time it would take to spend that large of an amount...which is really why I passed on it too.

As I have said before, buy from CardCash at your own risk. This company is 10 times riskier than PPDG , their rating has now improved at the
Better Business Bureau to a B+ but it was an F last year. They also had their accreditation revoked by the BBB because they had so many complaints against them.

They openly admit to the risks of buying from them:

"CardCash is a gift card marketplace where millions of sellers can sell their unwanted pre-owned gift cards at a discount. CardCash checks the balance at the time of the listing. Statistically only a very small percentage of our cards have issues where the seller used the gift card or it got canceled after we have checked the balance at the time of the listing. The percentages are kept very low because of all the proprietary fraud technology and KYC measures CardCash has working behind the scenes.

Buying from any Marketplace involves the classical Risk vs Reward decision. Consumers shopping on a marketplace can save up to 35% but will at times receive cards that are invalid or have a balance discrepancy. This is not something we can control. However, in order to make our customers feel a bit more comfortable we offer a 45 day buyer protection guarantee. CardCash encourages all of its customers to use the cards within that time period and if they encounter an issue to immediately let us know."

So as I said, buy from CardCash at your own risk.

Just to clarify, starting January you can't use ebucks to purchase an ebay gift card, you can still use it to purchase other gift cards. Here is the exact wording from the ebay bucks page:

"After January 1, 2017, you will not be able to redeem eBay Bucks for eBay Gift Cards within the Gift Cards & Coupons category."

@wendow Exactly! And, now it's gone anyway, looks like it sold early this morning. So there's that, lol. I think I'll just do the Wgc's and be done. First though I have to convert them to eBay, lol. So sad it's the last churn! Wish by the time I get back BB would open up!
Anyone else doing a last go round?

I scanned through many pages of this thread, but can someone answer a simple question? We have tons of credit card rewards and can get Target gift cards. I can use these to buy Disney gift cards at the store, right? You guys are amazing with all your savings! Thank you in advance!!!

Yep, you can!

Few thoughts:

1.) BBB is useless and is a scam. Stop referring to it as if it was anything meaningful. They allow companies to pay to remove ratings. It also penalizes companies if they resolve customer complaints outside of BBB. Just stop referring to BBB for anything.

2.) The risks for Card Cash are the same as any card reseller sites. So long as you know that you should use it before 45 days, it can be a good deal. It's also the same as buying any physical product (e.g., tv, computer, etc.). It's only as good as the warranty.

Think of buying the $50 WGs with shipping as a 6% eBucks bonus. I bought a few, but I've hit my cap. And so it ends in a whimper.

Here are two current deals I found recently:
1. Best Buy gives 6% back in rewards for elite reward members (5% on standard). This includes gift cards and they sell Disney gc.
2. If you're a Chase Freedom card holder, starting Oct 1 they are offering 5% cash back on wholesale club purchases. So head over to Sam's Club and grab one (because they're already 5% off) and then you'll get the additional cash back from Chase. That means you'll pay $135.83 for $150 in gift cards or $451.23 for $500 in gift cards. For additional savings at Sam's, Google new member & renewal offers. There's an offer for a $10 gift card that you could put toward the Disney gc purchase.

Also, you can add these gc to your Disney Vacation Account for additional savings from Disney!

Funny, exactly what I was thinking earlier! I actually forgot about my cap, but I only had $500 left and that was within the limits and didn't even think about it. And no more cash to put in.
So I converted my wgc's to ebay and it went so so easy! And then I thought how no need to do that again, lol, well except when the new ones come in and I switch them to Disney. Went back to work and watched ebay in case anything new popped up, as in $100 wgc's or BB, but nothing, so I bought. I had an old 7.45 on an ebay card, couldn't use another 1.28, probably connected to other ebay acct. But, that helped a little, feeling a bit less like 20 in shipping, like I got a deal, lol, which is dumb, but only paid out 12 some dollars in shipping today. I'll try to forget the shipping when I spend my ebucks, lol. Hoping the BB at least comes back for spending my ebucks on next Sunday or Monday!
So, Like I said $30 is better than none. But what a sad little end to our churning! It sure was fun and great while it lasted, so thanks to all here who helped me over this last 11,12 some months of saving and churning! Yeah, stressful at times, but definitely fun and profitable! I keep thinking there must be something I'm missing about what we can do next but then I remember one thing or another and then stumped again. Last year I was happy when I saved by buying thru raise, then went thru Target. Then it turned into so much more. And now I'm spoiled! Smh.

Argh, now I'm sad, lol.

First of all, the Better Business Bureau is not a scam. And Cardcash was a paid member of the BBB when they got their F rating. Their rating was so bad that the BBB revoked (that means took away) their accreditation. At least companies like raise and other 3rd party card resellers arem more honest than cardcash.

The bottom line you have to ask yourself, is it worth it the little money you are saving to have to go through time and fighting to get your money back with this company if this goes bad, which happens often with cardcash. and that is all I was pointing out.
