What's your best kept Disney secrets?

Best kept secret is, to quote Elsa, "Let it go!"

Have a good time and enjoy it. Whether it was planned or otherwise.

Ok next best secret is to be as nice to the CM's as you want them to be to you. They are people too and they have feelings too. I guarantee that if you are nice to them, more often then not, it will be returned to you in so many more ways.

Hello everyone, I have an upcoming Walt Disney World vacation, and I was wondering what are your families best kept Disney secrets? Whether it's theme park related, food related, anything that will make a Disney vacation that much more magical.

One of my best kept (known) Disney secrets would have to be the single riders line at Expedition Everest at Disney's Animal Kingdom. Why wait 30 to 90 minutes in line at sand by, when you can wait no longer than 5 minutes in the single riders line? I know you won't be seated with your family or friends, but it's a great way to save a lot of time!

Also, if you've never eaten at Earl of Sandwich at Downtown Disney, you don't know what you're missing. They are reasonably priced, and they have some of the greatest sandwiches, wraps and salads in this world. Also, they give a discount to AAA members, something to keep in mind.

There is a wishing well to the right (Tomorrowland side) of Cinderella's Castle. It is almost always deserted and quiet there. You get to have a little corner of the kingdom all to yourself.

I've hit all four parks in one day before several times. Now I am not saying I rode every "big ticket" ride at each park. But I did ride what I wanted to in all four parks in one day. It can be done with good FP's, right FP's (timing wise) and starting time for the day.

Started at Magic, then to AK, then to Studios then finished at EPCOT (with Illuminations)

Rope dropped Magic. Hit all the mountains and the Haunted Mansion

Bus to AK and did single rider on Everest and did Dinosaur then the Safari

Bus to the Studios and had FP's to RnR, ToT and Star Tours (all within three hours ... Good FP timing there was the MUST)

Bus to EPCOT and did Mission:Space (nearly walk on) Single rider Test Track and did Spaceship Earth before Illuminations

And the great thing about this, is that it is just the way that one should be ANYWAY towards others. I believe some might call it the "Golden Rule" :)

You may like EMH, but truth be told , you can get more done by avoiding the EMH parks even if your a resort guest. The resort guest "flood" the parks for those extra hour or two but it creates over crowding since WDW has only added more and more resorts which equals more people. We stay onsite but avoid the EMHs and we get to walk on rides and love the less crowded feel.
My tip if your a resort guest avoid EMH.

So glad you said this....I have been panicking that I am making a big mistake by NOT using the EMH in the morning at least ...might at least PH to check out the evening EMH if we are not pooped but mostly, sticking to parks that do not am EMH or evening EMH to start with.

Yes, you can definitely use the party cards to play! You'll need to go to the firehouse or kiosk in Liberty Square to get a "key" card, I believe. That's where info is stored about your progress in the game. And the cards bring up different "spells" at the portals. So the little video you see will be different with each character's card. Honestly, my sons could explain the whole thing better than I could! I just think the cards themselves are really cool and a great keepsake. I've also seen people now having the characters autograph the cards, which I think is a great idea!

lol I'M SO CONFUSED. hahaha However, I think my kids would love this! Not sure exactly what it is though.

I would have to second this! We were at MK when the Fantasyland Exp was open for Friends/Family. We were just nice to the CM outside it and in return, she let us go in and check it out stating my husband was her "uncle" :) Best Disney experience ever!

Mine is to hit the Animal Kingdom later in the day--2 pm or so. Most people view AK as a half day park, and many will be leaving at that point. The closer you get to closing time, even if the park closes at 5 or 6, the easier the rides are to do. I used that tip in May, and it worked great!

Tip from me: during the Osborne spectacle of lights there's a Halloween cat that was accidentally sent along with the Christmas lights but Disney still puts it in display. It's moved around every year.

It moves during the season, not just a different place every year.

Yes it definitely does! We are planning to hop from HS to Epcot sometime after lunch so Im sure the buses will be packed, this will be fantasic!
Yes! I love the thought of seeing fellow Disboarders!!!!!

The walk is beautiful and easy. If you are feeling too tired to walk, there is a boat that goes from Epcot (you pass it when you exit the park at world showcase). It's never a good idea to take the bus.

Not sure if this is a "secret" or if others know, but here goes.

You can still design your own car as usual in the stand by queue at Test Track but go through the single rider queue. All you have to do is go through the exit of the attraction through the gift shop and go to the 'Design Studio' terminals in the area where they have all the real cars on display. Use your Magic Band or Pass to save the car.

Now, head to the single rider line and hold your band or card to the terminal as usual before you enter the car and the car you designed will be there. No need to burn a FP+ now for Test Track :)

I read about this before our last trip in August. The boys LOVED it! They're old enough to do single rider, but hated missing out the car design part of it. They did this like three times in a row. Design a car, single rider, get off the ride and redesign and single ride again. It's a great "secret"!
