December 2014 anyone?

History indicates that being open on xmas day at 7am.

I was wondering where you saw 7am? I'm still seeing 9am, with EMH making it 8am on the Disney site. I want to make sure I'm current with my times so I can be up, and ready, and there, as early as I can get in.

Sorry, this is the time that MK is likely to open at, though nothing is official. I was going by easywdw's crowd calendar analysis for December.

We are going Dec 9th -13th and staying at the Art of Animation.

And sadly, this will be our shortest trip ever.:crazy2:

We are going Dec 9 -13th and staying at Pop. I would like to cancel my hotel and try a moderate resort for once.. who knows.

Welcome aboard. You arrive 1 day before we do. We are staying at the POR. If you are looking for a Mod, that's what I'd recommend.

December 7 - 14 POFQ... So excited! Fast passes: selected. ADR'S: selected. MVMCP: tickets acquired...been planning this out since hubby surprised me in March. Anyone know anything about Pop Warner? Past experiences?

Dec 17 - 23 for 13 yr old's surprise Christmas present at CBR! FP -done, ADR's - Done, MVMCP - Done, Online Check-in Done....and now the wait is killing me!

So excited for our upcoming trip...63 days to go!

We will be at BCR through the holidays:) I have to set my alarm in a couple days to plan our FP+ at midnight!
Then all I have left to do is anticipate.

December 21-27.

Excited to spend Christmas Eve at Magic Kingdom and doing the Candlelight Processional on Christmas.

Our FP+ opening is tomorrow and we're so nervous!

We were there last year during Pop Warner week and didn't notice a difference as far as crowd size goes. It was a great week IMO.

First time going during Christmas season. From 12/14-12/19. Not sure how the crowds will be. We chose in between Thanksgiving and the Christmas break because we though MAYBE it would be less crowded (hopefully). Traveling with my non-verbal daughter with autism. She has been to WDW before but now she's a teen and well, teens can be difficult without a disability soooooo. I have no idea how the new DAS works so my project tonight is researching those threads. So I am nervous about that but SO EXCITED to see all the holiday lights for the very first time. We got the free disney dining and staying at a value but in a preferred room so that helps. I am just happy we can go and stay on site! :lovestruc

Anyone have a clue how mid December is crowd-wise? Love this group, haven't been here for a while, forgot the basics of the forum! :scared1:

Tina

Wow, only 6 weeks left until I go, can't believe it!:cool1:

I have to say that I was floored - in a good way - about how many FP+ were available during our Christmas stay. We're there 12/20-28, and I got everything I wanted at the time I wanted. A&E, 7DMT (on 3 different days!), Frozen Sing Along, Soarin, TT, TSM, etc.... it was all there and very easy. :)

Have fun!

We will be there during that period and were last year. There was a bit of a crowd especially as it gets closer to Christmas but it's not bad. The weather was great last year and the crowds manageable. Enjoy your trip!

Yay! Staying 12-21 and I got everything I wanted to. I know so many don't like FP+ but I really feel like so much of the work will be done when we get there and we won't even have to think just HAVE FUN!! :cool1:

So very pleased to report that booking our FP+s for the week of Christmas was easy and I was able to select whatever we wanted. I suppose last year we were spoiled as during the test there wasn't a tiered system when we booked so this time around our EP and HS days I had to pick just one top choice...so we will try to get there at RD for the others! All in all very satisfied.

Next on our list is to select a day for the boys to golf and get reservations?! Anyone know what would be the best course? I think it will just be my Husband and sons (13, and 15) as my 13 yo is begging me to golf! suggestions? I'm thinking my 8 yo might be too young, so maybe I can plan something with him?

After months about being on the fence about NYE at DW we decided last weekend to go for it. Staying at POFQ for the first time in 20 years, wow it's been 20 years since DD was 3:sad2:, and at that time it was for just a couple of nights and things have changed. But we will be heading down on Dec 30th and our FP+ our next week:eek:. Excited!!:cool1:

Fun! :) I would love to be there for New Year's! Sadly we return home on the 30th. Where do you plan to be on New Years Eve?

My family will be there! 7th trip for us, first with new son-in-law!

December 20 - 29th! Super exciting, getting so close!
