How did they arrive Jo? I actually don't really know whether I should be awaiting an email or post. I'm frazzled!

Ordered online and they arrived in post a week later. Hope you get sorted x

Evening all

So we've been chatting and have some decisions made

Here is our meal plan:

Monday
Breakfast > Premier Inn
Lunch > Market House Deli / Victoria's / Cable Car / CBCO / Blockbuster
Dinner > The Steakhouse

Tuesday
Lunch > Bistrot Chez Remy for a later lunch (based on eating 10 pancakes at brekkie ::yes::)
Dinner > McDonalds

Wednesday
Lunch > one of the above options! or possibly one of Val D'Europe's many fine options
Dinner: The Chuckwagon

Thursday
Lunch > again another from Monday's list
Dinner > King Ludwigs

Friday
I reckon we will eat at the airport as we are being collected a little after 1pm or possibly we may pick up some sandwiches before we leave DLP.

I bought Jemma a different coat again! Changed her parka for a lovely red duffle that is much nicer. I need blinkers when I go shopping! Still no Disney tops in Ireland's version of Primark  I'm stalking them every weekend!

Also received my Tesco voucher... but just the one mind!! I still had vouchers online so I've sent off for an extra voucher so we should have €20 to spend in TGI Fridays, better than nothing!

I'm going to tackle Travel Insurance in another couple of weeks and make our restaurant reservations tomorrow :yay:

So it's down to fiddley bits now... this is the new list

To Do List
Buy hair ties, shampoo, conditioner and any other little fiddley bits like tan and earrings
James has requested big boy jocks and no more knicker-pants so thats also on the list!! My very sure of himself 5 year old is a a conscientious dresser :rotfl2:
Take loads of photos of all our bits and bobs to show you guys (looks like 2 weeks until I'll have my phone back - agony!)
Print out travel activity sheets for the kiddos
Print out documents
Find that illusive cardboard box for the hubby!
Buy red, yellow and black balloons and one last roll of wrapping paper
Buy Travel Insurance
Make a new Disney CD
Pack

Great meal plans :thumbsup2

Jemma's coat sounds lovely, i'd love a little girl to buy girly things for! My boys have graduated past anything cute now, their coats are plain black Bench one's!

We got a good travel insurance policy with coverforyou.com, it's a great policy for a relatively inexpensive price, even with my medical conditions (heart). xx

I love Bench jackets though, very stylish! Jimmy loves being well turned out, he likes his denim shirts and chinos, Jem on the other hand was, I reckon, swapped with a farmers daughter in the hospital because she's happiest when she is just thrown together, preferably in mismatched clothes and wellies!

I'm going to have a look at their site now, thanks a million for the suggestion.

Love the meal plans Kizzy :)
Not much left to do now , the kids are going to have such a great time with dad coming too.
Primark great for boys boxers too my lot only wear them too.
Although Nathan has asked for a wig for Christmas Elsa style ;)
Got to worry about that boy sometimes lol.
Xx

I was in Primark today and they had loads of Disney related stuff, including loads of bags and nic nacs - very useful if you're thinking of making up bags for the kids.

Hope you managed to get your meals booked ok :goodvibes

:rotfl2::lmao: Is Santa bringing a wig?!
Jem somestimes makes James pretend to be a girl or she wont let him play. Girls are so devious ;)
Primark all the way! He found some cool jockies with a zebra on them!

Our Primark is slacking ( well all 3 that are close by infact!) Very little in the line of Disney stuff lately and anyone I asked in store said they were surprised Ireland hasnt gotten all the character tees that the UK stores have. I did find cute shower gel reduced to 50cent but neither myself or Jem were keen on the scent other then that there was a Bambi cloth shopping bag and that was about it :confused3
I'm hoping we get them all in over the next couple of weeks but I'll keep a good eye on it. I have PJs for them, socks, autograph books and a couple of jumpers and tshirts. I'll have a look in the pound shops too and see if there are any little snacks and drinks I could get for the trip to the airport.
Just thought of it, I got them new jumpers when we were in DLP in May, almost forgot them!

I was supposed to book CM and totally forgot but DH chose the restaurants so I was a bit reluctant to change any of them. I could swap our meal in King Ludwigs or The Steakhouse for it. What do you think? The fact we can meet some of the characters during EMH at no cost is swaying me towards not booking CM.

I think you can do a reasonably priced meal at CM if you fancy sharing pizza and fries? Fries alone are not on the menu (weren't the last time we were there) but you can still ask for them no problem. We did that and all had a nice dessert and it was ok priced.

I've never been to King Ludwigs, it's just never appealed so I can't help with that, nor have I been to the Steakhouse - what would the kids prefer?

Hiya Julie. I'm got DH to pick restaurants because I felt if I included him in the planning he might enjoy the whole thing more. He really isn't keen on DLP but he's going to make us happy.
He also has a medical condition related to his gall bladder (he had it removed two years back but it didn't fix it and he still suffers badly at times) and can get sick if he eats too much in the line of fried foods.
We went through all the menus and found The Steakhouse and King Ludwigs gave him more options - its the prevalence of fries on most of the menus where he would find trouble.
He also doesn't eat pasta or rice so it can be hard to find much choice on restaurant menus. Typical Irish diet of spuds!
It has tended to flare up while we are away as he doesn't always mind his diet but I really don't want him sick so we are planning ahead. He ends up in severe pain and can collapse, he was hospitalised twice in the past two years (once while I was in DLP).
Thankfully it has been better lately so hopefully it won't happen this time.

We loved King Ludwigs the last couple of times we ate there. The menu is so different to other places, its definitely worth trying if you are feeling adventurous some night!

Aw Kizzy delighted Tesco vouchers turned up....enjoy your TGI's ...I am looking forward to mine :) thanks for the tip :thumbsup2

Love your meal choices....except mcdonalds....not a fan here ;)

Agree regarding Primark.....rubbish this year in relation to Dis stuff!!!

I'm delight Jo, it just felt like everything was going wrong that week!! Still waiting on my phone back from Samsung but thats ok as I know they are working on it but as soon as it arrives I'll be pasting this PTR with photos of my lovely purchases.
Penneys is gone awful! And whats worse is seeing all the stuff on Facebook thats available in the UK. They need an online site in a bad way!
McDonalds is not really my ideal either but I live in hope of twisting an arm of two, I'll use my best method of reason - the kids :stir: If I plant an idea they can wear DH down enough to change his mind ;)

Cool meal choices - we keep saying we should go back to King Ludwigs, we ate there on our first family trip when R was 4 months old!

Glad you got your Tesco vouchers finally - I was debating on what to use mine for - I have £39 worth atm, but I think I am going to get myself a Hudl2 with them. It is so rare for me to spend anything on myself!

Gutter about Primark - I was in there yesterday (for all of about 10 mins - my idea of hell, shopping in a packed store) and they had SO much Disney stuff, I told DH we have to go late night when it will be quieter!

KLs just keeps drawing us back! I think maybe because it is so different to everywhere else, RFC and Annettes are still looking appealing too but I'm terrible with making food choices so I'm just going to stop looking at dlpguide's menus!

Oooh you have to treat yourself Mama Bug! Just do it :thumbsup2

Thursday night is late night shopping in my closest town and it is ideal Primark shopping time, its always so quiet. Still stalking them so fingers crossed they will get them in over the next few weeks ;)

Oh let us know what you get at primark :)
I got my Xmas hat and gloves from there last week for our trip up to Edinburgh to meet Santa.
Very cute snowman ones lol !!
Xxx

Oooh they sound lovely Rach!
No luck so far with Primark but I lie in hope.
Just about to do an update :cool1:

I have loads to do still!
Like most of the list!!
I'm going to pick up as much as I can this week but Im waiting on my phone to be fixed to organise the music for my CD and take some photos.

College work is starting to mount a bit too so Im trying to work through it as best I can but my laptop is playing silly buggers :badpc:

The debate still rages over CM lol! I think regardless of which way we go I will be second guessing!

On a happy note - James got a star of the week award for working extra hard at his reading and I can see it paying off. Clever boy (but then I am biased!)

And I upgraded our March trip to the Newport! Very excited about it because my sister is coming too, although she is arriving the day after us so we have to work out how she gets to DLP but I've emailed RS Transport so Im just waiting for a response :yay:

I have done up some pretty cool check lists and planning sheets for this holiday so I've not been so lax on the planning :cool1:

And we've already chosen this weekend Disney DVDs - Sleeping Beauty and Pinnochio so it'll be a classics day complete with PJs, popcorn and Duffy bears :goodvibes

Here is how the to do list stands now

Buy shampoo, conditioner and any other little fiddley bits like tan and earrings

Getting closer Kizzy. :goodvibes

Got sister more lovely Disney PJs in Primark in Torrevieja of all places - will post photos soon. Bet I still can't find anything worth buying in Belfast. :rotfl2:

I haven't booked a transfer for our December trip yet - waiting to hear how you and others get on with RS Transports first. The others are so much more expensive.

Your plans are really coming along now - great upgrade to NPB - did you see the link on twitter today re the refurbed rooms?

Look really nice - you might get lucky :thumbsup2
