September 2012 roll call

disneyAussiemum what a fantastic trip you have planned. I'm also hoping we'll get to hear a bit about it.

Wow - all these trips look amazing!!! And it looks like I will be waving at a lot of you somewhere over the Pacific Ocean as we fly to the US!!! So - I will have to keep track of TR's while I'm away!!! :surfweb:
BigDisneyOE and meandmygirl - I'm doing the Wonder PC cruise on Oct 7 - hope I might be able to hear how you go before I go - but probably not!!! Unless of course you guys do a report as you go...!!! Anyway, should be a good one!

Will there be anyone left in Australia or NZ in September???!!!! Seems like it's a good month to go {thinks of next holiday..!! :goodvibes::yes::}

Me too! Our parents are elderly and miss us a lot when we travel so DH and I have taken up the habit of posting daily reports back home to them. I just send an email and DH keeps a Blog.

I'm hoping to get my act together and start a PTR/TR before we go this time and I'll just copy and paste my daily email into the TR each night ( I hope!) :)

disneyAussiemum, that is an awesome trip!! I love Disney but I have to say I love the great American National Parks even more!

You probably already know, but with that many parks on your itinerary you definitely want to get the "America the Beautiful" annual National Parks pass, its about $80 but with you visiting 9 national parks it will save you a packet :)

I think Bryce Canyon at sunrise was one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen and Monument Valley is amazing. I envy your visit to Death Valley, it's the only one on your list that we haven't visited yet, it's on my " one day" agenda !

Hope you're planning to do a trip report?

Andona

Sent from my iPad using DISBoards

Definitely getting an Annual Pass for the National Parks. We will make our money back in entries very quickly.

I will do a trip report. Will share once I get back.

Hi everyone! I have just meandered away from the main WDW planning section of the boards for the first time and am most excited to see a thread for aussies and kiwis going to the U.S in September.
We fly out to L.A on Aug 31 and stay the night at an airport hotel then on to Orlando the next day for 23 nights at Carribean Beach. Around 2 weeks for the world then 1 week for Seaworld (several days), Gatorland and Discovery Cove. Then 3 nights in San Francisco. We did Hawaii, Disneyland and San Diego 2 1/2 years ago and had the time of our lives. Was so depressed when I got home that I started planning this one immediately!
Life has been interesting to say the least over the last couple of years as we have been affected by the Christchurch earthquakes but we are now good to go and can't wait!!
Our daughter is almost 9 and beside herself with excitement. Seaworld was her favourite part last time and I think AK and Discovery Cove will blow her mind.
Good luck to all with the final planning!!

welcome to the south of the equator boards.......we're simple folk but harmless.
Sounds like you've got a great trip planned, you'll probably be at wdw when we all get there mid sept...more aussies/kiwi's the better.
are you doing MNSSHP, your daughter would love it:hyper:
I did aulani in hawaii this year, so you'd enjoy that if you ever went back....

Thanks Australiankaren. We absolutely love Hawaii, have been twice but have managed to stay away this time (although my sister bet me that I wouldn't be able to and predicts that I will cry while going straight across to the mainland!) I have purposely not looked into Aulani because the combination of Disney and Hawaii is just too attractive and I might break....
We don't plan to do the party at this stage but if tickets are still available at the time anything could happen. I have been known to be a bit impulsive when it comes to trips, when I went to the TA to book this one which was all planned out I "accidently" ended up with 2 extra nights at Disney, an update to a moderate and 4 days in SF. :)
