Mandymouse's '5 Days to book a holiday !! .... You Must Be Kidding' Report

OMG!!! If that had been me on EE and I had to climb out of the car I would have freaked out, I love the rides but not great on heights and would not have been happy:scared1::scared1:Although I would have loved the walk down through the mountain.

Im fully caught up again, sad to reach the end of your Fantasy part but it was fabulous.:goodvibes

Loving your trip report and dont want it to end:)

Oh dear, Expedition Everest freaks me out at the best of times and I cannot imagine what it must have felt to be stuck on the lift hill. I am glad that you got off without too much trouble. I am amazed that you were brave enough to ride it again later in the day.

Corinna

Shame about EE breaking down but what a great view to be stuck with.

Love the Mickey at Teppan Edo ::yes::

Just caught up...

Your photos of your room at Pop and the Petal Bar make me long for Disney.

The photos of the topiaries at Epcot are lovely, they do a really good job with them.

Shame about EE but you got some cool shots of the view and walking back down it. Thankfully EE has never broke down on me yet... I don't think I could go on it again lol

Lovely updates xx

Maybe I am strange but I would have loved to climb out of the EE car and walk back through the mountain

What a place to breakdown on EE!! Great photos though.

Love the Mickey at TE.

I have yet to try a Rosa Regale at Epcot.. plan to put that right this year :)

No hun, you don't pay for the food on Castaway Cay, shame drinks aren't included too, I'd save a fortune :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Thanks for answering, problem with the drinks though Mandy is that profits would fall dramatically:rolleyes1:rotfl2:

Another great day, love the view from EE, although I might think a bit different if I was on it:goodvibes

 Thanks again for taking the time to read my report and for leaving your kind comments too

:yay: We have moved our September reservation to your Cruise Jenny, though won't get too excited about it till nearer the time, as nothing is set in stone till the flights are booked

I can still dream though :yay:

That would be so much fun. :goodvibes Understand about not knowing until closer to the time though. At the rate you book your holidays we'll know the weekend before. :rotfl2:

I guess it wouldn't have been so bad if I was seated next to the steps, but I had to scoot over to Paul's side to get out, and I made a right meal of it, honestly I wasn't very lady-like :rotfl2::rotfl2:

The first time we broke down was at the entrance to where you see the animatronic Yeti, and that was really cool ::yes::

What a place to breakdown on EE!! Great photos though.

That sounds like my kind of plan Michelle :)

Yes DCL would make major losses when we're onboard :rotfl::rotfl:

:dance3: I'm trying not to get excited Jen .. but I can't help myself :lmao: :dance3:

Tuesday 15th May

We didn't rush up for morning EMH's today, we decided to just go to DHS for normal opening. We got there around 8.50am, and people were already going in, I assumed they were being allowed up to the rope drop, but everyone was allowed to line up outside the rides, though they didn't open till 9. We got a FP for Tower of Terror, and joined the line for RockNRollerCoaster, we rode this twice, then grabbed some fruit bowls while we waited for our FP time to come round, we got another FP for ToT, then rode it

Next we wandered over to Star Tours, then met Lightning McQueen and Mater. We picked up a FP for Toy Story Mania for later in the day (3.30 - 4.30pm) then rode ToT one more time, we then left the park for a chill by the Pop pool

DSC09084.jpg

We had lunch at the food court of cheeseburger & fries and muffin for Paul, and a tuna sandwich with chips and a cupcake for me, Mmm

We hadn't planned what to do this afternoon, but Paul wanted to see the Lights, Cars, Action show this holiday, so around 3ish we caught the bus back to DHS, where we used our Toy Story Mania FP (Paul beat me 130,000 to 113,00), then we went to see the stunt show. We hadn't seen it for a few years, and we really enjoyed it, and the addition of Lightning McQueen was fun too

Cont'd ..

...

We left the park and caught the Friendship boat to Epcot via the International Gateway.

It was very cloudy by now, but we called into the Rose & Crown for a cider and lager, then we started to walk to Future World. It began to drizzle with rain, and by the time we got to the entrance of World Showcase, it was a full on storm. We sheltered under some trees till the lightening started, then we put on our cheapo Asda ponchos, then we legged it to MouseGear (while I sheltered my cider under my poncho). We sheltered at the store entrance and chatted to some other people, then proceeded into the shop for a mooch

When the rain died down a little, we wandered around World Showcase grabbing some egg rolls in China, and a couple of glasses of wine in Germany

Around 8pm we had dinner in Japan of Japanese curry udon for me and chicken cutlet curry for Paul with cookies and diet coke

At 8.30pm the rain was still drizzling, and it was announced that IllumiNations would be going ahead. We found a spot in World Showcase Plaza, and Paul took some photos

As soon as IllumiNations was over we quickly put the camera equipment away and legged it for the bus, and luckily we were back at the Pop by 9.45pm and not much later in bed

Love your photos especially the rock n roller coaster, really catches the speed.
Have you got used the just the two of you, and leaving the girls at home ?

Great pic of the rock and rollercoaster, and ee breaking down not sure how i would feel getting of it but atleast you got some great pics whilst you were stuck!! BTW how fab r u looking the zumba is really working for you.xxx:goodvibes

Lovely photos, the inside of RnR coaster is slightly different in Disneyland Paris, same with the stunt show they have taken out the bike going through the window & they no longer have the waverunner. Its still good though & I actually prefer the Lightning McQueen addition over Herbie.

Wednesday 16th May

Today was early EMH's at DHS, so we were up early and at DHS for 8am. First stop was Toy Story Mania (where Paul whopped my butt again)

We then grabbed a FP for Tower of Tower, then rode RockNRollerCoaster twice. As we waited for our ToT FP time to come round, we had some fruit bowls and orange juice. We rode ToT, then wandered over to Star Tours. I had a coffee in the Writer's Stop, and Paul had a muffin, then we exited the park

We came back to the Pop to chat on-line to Kerry and Becky, then we got back in the car and drive to the Mall at Millenia. Since our last holiday in September, we had become big fans of The Big Bang Theory, so had decided a trip to The Cheesecake Factory for the first time was in order. It was only just past midday, but it was already busy

We ordered some Bufallo Wings to share for starters, then I had a huge Shepherd's Pie and Paul had a burger. The food was DE-LI-CIOUS. We had a lovely time. We were stuffed, but we couldn't not have a piece of cheesecake, so we shared a mango & lime one

We had a great meal, and we're really impressed with the cost too, we will definitely be back (the only disappointment was that the servers didn't wear the same outfits as Penny and Bernadette ;))

After leaving the mall, we popped to the outlet mall at the top of International Drive (we hadn't been here for years), then we called into a couple of Bargain Worlds, and Walgreen's for some cough medicine for Paul (he had woke up with a bad cough this morning)

Anyway, while driving down I-Drive, we decided to check out the new Señor Frog's. It looked really cool there. Paul had a lager, and as it was Happy Hour, I got 2 for 1 on some Froggy Cocktails. At one point the manager sent over some free shots to us and a couple of girls at the bar (gotta love Señor Frog's shots ::yes::), but sadly Paul wasn't able to enjoy it as he was driving ;)

After our drinkies, we called in at the Premium Outlets where Paul bought some Hugo Boss jeans and a watch

Once again it was raining this evening, and we didn't fancy getting soaked at Epcot or DownTown Disney, so we enjoyed a few Captain Mai Tai's at Petal's Pool Bar and watched the American Idol semi-final. We then shared a lasagne and small pizza at the foodcourt, then we called it a night

Another great day, the food at the Cheesecake Factory looks delicious:thumbsup2

I would not have liked having to climb out at the top of EE, I knew there was I good reason I don't ride that one!

I love your necklace from the AK day, where did you get that from?

Another great day Mandy. I'm a big fan of Big Bang Theory as well, but then Kaley Cuoco is one of my celebrity crushes   so how could I not like it. :)
