Who knew choking each other would earn us fastpasses?

Mickeys anywhere make me smile! My parents picked me up some Mickey holiday sprinkles, I love using them on random cookies and brownies...even if other people don't notice, I still get a nice little "hidden" Mickey! ::MickeyMo

I have never thought about looking for Mickey sprinkles. Were they just available for the holidays?

Love the update! Isn't that spot by CP the nicest spot for Castle pics.
WOW for the woman having the spaz attack :scared1:

We saw a lady having a fit in AK. We were standing in a character line to meet Goofy & Pluto, and they needed to step away for a few mins. The lady got all mad and complained that it wasn't fair that the break happened with her turn next. She bagged about it the whole time the characters were gone, and was rude to the CM.
I was embarassed for her kiddos, even if they weren't quite old enought o understand their Mom was an Stupid Guest!

I always feel so bad for the kids of those kind of parents. You can't help but feel sorry for them no matter their age. Chances are they will either turn out just like their parents or the total opposite because they don't want to be like their parents.

I'm pretty sure I've seen just general sprinkles as well. They're under the Minnie's Bake Shop line. I'm thinking Goofy's Candy Company would be a good bet to find something like that (but I've seen things like these in lots of other places, like resort gift shops or World of Disney). :goodvibes

Right now I'm trying to hunt for some way to acquire the Mickey measuring spoons (the cups are easy, the spoons are being a bit elusive!).

Wow, Lisa, I can't believe it is just two months till the next trip! This year is just flying by! I am jealous but I will try to be adult about it - Boohoohoo. We aren't going this year. DD and her family are going to Universal to see Harry Potter and the rest this summer. It is her hubby's birthday trip and they haven't invited anyone else. They haven't had a vacation with just the four of them in several years, so I understand why they want to but I will really miss seeing it with them. :sad1: My husband and I are supposed to take a cruise this summer but some unexpected expenses may sink that ship. We'll see. I really hope to go to Alaska and take a cruise tour. It is so expensive to fly there that we figured we might as well see as much as possible in one trip! Time will tell. I am looking forward to hearing all about your plans, but sad to see another fun TR start to wind down.

I know first hand how it feels to be with someone who acts like a bufoon (sp?). My brother's ex-wife was just like that. Notice I said EX? :cool1: She would go off the deep end at the drop of a hat...no matter where we were...and act a total fool. It was so embarrassing I would just slink away and got to the point that I would not even walk with her. I would always walk several steps behind her, and their kids would usually be with me. My poor brother was stuck, though. :rotfl:

As a matter of fact, if I didn't know better, I would think that was her you saw. Sounds just like her. So happy I no longer have to deal with her antics and embarrassment.

Fun update and beautiful castle pictures from your wait for the CP dinner. Is checkin for CP EVER on time? All I ever see or hear about are lines, and we had a wait when we checked in for lunch there.

I don't know why people have to be so miserable. If you can't make the best of a situation you are in, you are only hurting yourself and your family!

Woo-hoo on your upcoming trip! Can't wait to read all about it.

Hi Lisa! You took such pretty pictures of my castle! :rotfl:

Mickey balloons and confetti also make me smile! :) You and I seriously need to hang out! I bought a Mickey toast press the last time I was at WDW and now I can make Mickey toast....I also have a Mickey ice cube tray so I can have Mickey ice! It's the little things that make me happy! :thumbsup2

Being grumpy at the MK is just a good way to zap all the magic out of the place. UGH!! You're on vacation woman....CHILL!! :confused3

Those pictures of Hunter really show how much he is growing up and becoming a young man. It happens so fast, doesn't it?

Great updates, Lisa!!! I love that you quoted a Salt-n-Pepa song! :rotfl: You have some really pretty photos of the castle. I love the photo of the yellow flower, too! I get so irritated with the people who flip out because they have to wait a little bit. I mean- they're in Disney! It's not like they can't find something to do while they wait!!

I'm calling the slanted Castle picture and "artsy" picture......That works..right?
I guess Hunter takes after his dad now and can take a cat nap anywhere too. I will be sad when this is over, but at least your next trip is right around the corner. Time has flown. I don't think I ever took pictures on the bus. I may have to give it a try this time around...if I think of it.

I'm definitely adding "Mickey sprinkles" to my list of things I want to buy while in Disney.

I forgot to look to see if you have a ticker before I posted. But, I'll be headed back to Disney in May and would be more than happy to look for the measuring spoons if you'd like. I bought a red, white and black set for my daughter last trip and I think they also had the white with blue ones as well.

I am so ready to go back to Disney. John was saying this past week that he was ready to go on vacation. With wedding planning, searching for doctors, my aunt's surgery, etc., we all need a break!

I can understand why your DD would want to go on a vacation with the family but it sure does suck when you know that someone is in Florida and you're not.

I know all about unexpected expenses. Well, actually, we've got a lot of "expected" expenses this year....Lacey finishing college, Lacey's wedding, Hunter's orchestra trip, John needs a new trip, we have to refinance a loan in May. Ugggh! Things just never stop.

My mother was all ready to go on an Alaskan cruise last Summer but then had to have her surgery and didn't get to book. She was going with a group of people from church. They didn't plan on doing everything together but they all were going to book as a group so they'd get a discount.;)

I sure hope it works out that you get to go somewhere this Summer.

I have a sister-in-law like that. She makes such a fuss about everything but somehow seems to come out great in the end. For example, she fussed about the shipping costs of a desk and credenza that she ordered from Sam's and somehow got them free because of all of her fussing. She pitched a fit when she and her husband went on a boat tour in Florida and they refunded her money. She has never bought an iron the entire time she and my brother-in-law have been married. She got one for a wedding gift, wore it out and took it back to the store and told them it was faulty. She's done that so many times it's pitiful.

I don't see how you survived a trip with her. I'd have either had words with her or left her. Maybe I would have done both.:rotfl:

Only once have we been able to pretty much walk right in at our ADR time. Most times, we have had to wait.

I couldn't believe how the lady acted. I just wonder how the rest of her family's vacation was.

I almost typed "my castle" when I posted the caption to the pictures because I was thinking of you at the time.

I have no doubt that you and I would be at each other's house all the time if we didn't happen to live hundreds of miles away from each other.

Hunter is growing like crazy! When I start my pre-trip report, you'll see just how much.

Great updates, Lisa!!! I love that you quoted a Salt-n-Pepa song! :rotfl: You have some really pretty photos of the castle. I love the photo of the yellow flower, too! Salt-n-Pepa used to be one of John's favorite groups and he's always saying "ooh baby baby buh buh buh baby". Like that's gonna work. :rotfl2:

Weren't the yellow flowers pretty. I wish I could have gotten better pictures.

The lady was flipping out all over the doggone place. I couldn't believe the words that were coming out of her mouth. I wouldn't say some of the things she said under my breath much less outloud in front of anybody.

I'm calling the slanted Castle picture and "artsy" picture......That works..right?

I like "artsy". I totally meant to take the picture that way.:lmao:

Hunter's not as bad as John but by the last day, he was lagging a bit.

This was the first trip that I took pictures on the bus. Usually, it crowded and I feel weird about taking pictures. But, since we were in the front seat, I had a good picture taking view.

how exciting! that Dana and crew may be joining you guys in May!!!

great update! love all the castle pictures! including the one's of you guys :thumbsup2

Hey Mary Ellen, that's one of the "firsts" I can add to my list.:thumbsup2

Definitely worthy of a list of "firsts". :flower3:

Such a great update. :worship: I was laughing at your alleged response to the 30 min wait time!!!! Get the he$$ off that "blankety blank bench" and let me sit down.

Sounds like the Day 3 meltdown.

Beautiful castle pictures and beautiful pictures of the family!

Great update Lisa! Ya know, I have never been to the CP! :confused3 I'll have to put that on my list!!! I can't believe it's coming to the end. But I'm looking forward to reading your pre-trip report!!!!

I know! She and I chatted via text a good bit and there's nothing set in stone yet. She's looking at prices and some are pretty hefty because we are traveling over the Memorial Day holiday. I sure hope that they get to go even if it's for just a couple of days.

Definitely worthy of a list of "firsts". :flower3:

Glad I was able to provide you with a laugh. I can't imagine pitchin' a fit (as my grandfather used to say) like that over something as simple as being a few minutes late to an ADR.

It's about time I wrapped this trip report up.....it's only been 10 months since we were in Disney.

I LOVE seeing Mickey confetti....It makes me smile also!!! My little boys are the same way...anytime we see anything that makes a "hidden mickey" we have to shout it out! My hubby rolls his eyes at us...but we know he loves it also!

We were having a picnic in the backyard on Sunday and my 2 year old looked at his plate and shouted "HIDDEN MICKEY!!!" Sure enough 3 of his cheese balls had rolled together and looked like a hidden mickey...My hubby looked at me and said " See what you have created....even our 2 year old is doing it!!!!"""

I love it!!

Sorry I've been a little MIA lately.

Great updates! We went to CP for lunch in Feb and really enjoyed it. The food was really good. I almost booked it for September, but decided against it.

I can't believe it's been 10 months already. It seems like just yesterday that we were there for that trip. AND you have another one coming up already. That is fantastic!

I'm thinking we are going to do September, early January, and mid-May next. I'm not sure if I told you, but we decided to bite the bullet and purchase DVC so our trips will be more frequent in the future, just a little shorter. We like the idea of doing a few long weekends. It's a nice break from reality.

:thumbsup2

HI Lisa,
You gave me a big flashback to High School with the Salt-n-pepa song! LOL
They had a reality show a while ago....I admit, I watched it!! :rotfl2:

Beautiful pictures.

What was up with that woman??? Too bad people act like that on vacation..don't they know when they act like that they are NOT winning people over.

Looking forward to your PTR!!

You got some really good pictures while you were waiting at CP. We had a breakfast reservation there last Oct. but we cancelled because we were to pooped to get up to go so I've still never been! I can't believe how that lady was acting at a place full of children! I was at Wal-mart on Friday and there was a young "lady" screaming at the top of her lungs every curse word in the book into her cell phone and she was standing in the middle of the toy department:scared1:. I'm just glad River never had to witness anything like that at Disney!

I can't wait to see your dinner pictures!
