Speaking of all the cruise discounts, I'm hoping the upgrade fairy will be out and about since there are still a lot of available cabins. I know she made a lot of visits to the EBTA and I hope she comes out for this one too! I would love a porthole. But if not, I'm just happy to be on the cruise .
Just rebooked the cruise. I save around $800 and went from Deck 2 to deck 7 witha verandah. We could of saved some more but it would be deck 1 and I heard that is pretty noisy withthe engine and the crew, I know we had to go to medical for my husband and they are on Deck 1 and it was pretty busy. This might make up a little for what Disney overcharged me on the TA.
This means I do not have a room number yet. I will let you know as soon as we get it.
It is a Florida Resident rate. I just checked for interline and still nothing, but like I said, if these FL rates are close I can go from a 11B to a 5C for $200 if the interline is the same rate and paid tips.
So these savings are after losing your deposit and cost of insurance (if purchased)? For example, to cancel & rebook say you lose a $2,000 deposit, and $500 in travel insurance...you're still pocketing $200? I guess every little bit is worth it!
I've read here on the dis that room assignments come out around 30-45 days before cruise. However, I have also read that they can change your room assignment up until the day of the cruise.Just curious...how far in advance of the cruise does DCL start issuing upgrades?
We are not to penalty date yet, which is Oct 8. Up until that point, anyone can make changes w/o the loss of deposit because DIsney doesn't start charging penalties until that date. After that date, I have read that people can apply the military and Florida discount rates w/o the loss of deposit. However, if a general discount code comes out for everyone else, we will lose our deposit if we want to take advantage of it.So these savings are after losing your deposit and cost of insurance (if purchased)? I was looking for the info about putting money on my account so it's not all paid at the end. can anyone tell me how to find t on the cruise page or send a link?
i want to prepay tips too....is it the same or diff?
though 2 years ago we paid for Io go on a cruise f few weeks after we went on one and they credited my prepaid tips to them!! i'm hoping that was just a fluke as we used the same last name and address! since they made the mistake they let us "prepay" on board the same day. (not sure what that bought us - except maybe you cant charge them that late??? maybe?) last year prepaid tips was not a problem.

ps never heard from the other 2 maryland families - want to meet?
hmm, 3 sets from dc, md and va? that's weird! not enough!
This is last night's victory smile. It was a very good football game. We won 40-14. It was 83 degrees when the game ended and today it is supposed to only be 60! No wonder everyone is getting sick! My grandson always has the best smile! His granddad (B as he called him) is smiling down on him, I just know it with a smile just like that!
I feel your pain!!! Just remember, "This too, shall pass!"I'll be home all weekend working on the literature review for my "mini thesis". Jeff, my Mom and Jack are at the Magic Kingdom. Going to have to really remind myself why I'm going for this degree!
Hi All,
I have been playing with shirt designs for our (myself and my DD) shirts and I thought I would share what I came up with...I have not ordered yet as I am still wondering if I can come up with something better! If any of you have created something, or have some ideas, could you pass them along (or send pics)? I think we would all benefit from everyone's creativity!
BTW: Free Shipping @ Zazzle until tomorrow!
WeLuvDCL~congrats on the table...there is NOTHING like a great find!
Harole Ann~Your grandson is adorable and I'm so happy to hear about your DD's new house! I hope you (and they) enjoy the first Christmas there. You will have to post pictures!
Gail~How is your MIL??
Carmen~Sign up for the Whale watch with all of us...Mikayla was really hoping Haley was going!
To all of you who received discounts--I'm jealous...but, still very happy for you! I'm still holding out hope for a miracle that I get an upgrade (or they offer a CA discount--yea right)!!
For all of you Nor Cal people, I agree with you! Even though I am So Cal, I do think that they should offer the discounts to everyone is California--I mean, we do take your water, so it's the least we could do They don't even let Nor Cal do the payment plan (on any membership level) that they give us!
Have a great day and weekend everyone!

Wow, I was looking at doing the raglan shirts too, dark blue for the guys, light blue for the girls! However, they don't have any of the raglan for the little ones. I guess I could do one for DS on the ink jet and just find a dark blue raglan for him. Also, please note that the Mickey Head map has the wrong year. I noticed not so long ago when I was going to use it for something. But yes, sitll have it in my signature.
As far as the whale watching, we are doing whale watching in Cabo and have considered the one everyone is doing but we have found another we are considering too. The other one we are thinking about is on a pirate ship replica as we thought it would be fun for DS. I guess we need to decide since the one y'all are doing is filling up fast. I know Haley would be happy to be on the one with Mikayla too! We'll decide today. DH will be home shortly and we'll talk about it.
I probably should have mentioned the year as I am still trying to work out the kinks in that!! I wanted to post it though so that we could start sharing ideas before we order...
Sounds like all of your plans for Cabo will be great ones and I'm sure the girls will have LOTS of opportunities to hang out! I actually thought the pirate thing looked really cool if I had a younger child!
