Oh yes, thank you (DH loves pecans, and he has them safe in HIS stocking!)...and yes, we noticed the HS hat topping the tree...it's there for all to enjoy!

goofydad99 you will be just find. just drop the tree off at a fedex or ask at the front desk were to go on disney property to ship a package home.
use the donations inside the tree box. its really painless

Thanks, I really enjoy meeting people during the swap and adding a little magic to their stay at this time of year.

wdwstar does the most with all the PM's and organizing the lists year after year, but I am more than happy to help her out and would like say "thanks wdwstar for doing this again this year".

Glad to hear your DH has the pecans in a safe place, they are really good.

VWL #1 tree has had no problems and should be picked up by the last person on the list for this year. I did call each person on the list this year just to make sure they received the tree and there was no problems, since I had a issue last year.

We thoroughly enjoyed BLT tree #3 and it made our trip and room SO magical! We would walk home from MK every night and see our lights shining. We heard many people commenting on our decorations and it made us feel so special!!
Thanks SO MUCH to WDWSTAR for all the effort and hard work to go this swap! Next year, I would like to donate a BLT tree (bought the mickey head ornaments already). I have so many great ideas for it, I can't wait!!

SSR Tree #2 is about to be dropped off at bell services. The family absolutely loved it. Thanks so much to everyone who makes this happen. We plan on being at our new home in Bay Lake next year right after Thanksgiving and will definitely do what we can to participate again and help with the process.

There was $6 in the envelope when we got the tree. I'm not sure what the appropriate amount should be so we put in $20. It was definitely worth it! If its extra, apply it to accessories for next year. If its not enough, please let me know and we'll send more.

Checking out now and headed to the parks before a late night flight home. Merry Christmas to all!!!

Each year, we've had an envelope for donations for the tree return, and this year, I think DISNEY FIX helped clarify it better. When we got the tree, the envelope was there, but it had the names of each user to cross off their name when the donation was enclosed. It was good to have the amount clarified. It will take around $40 to return our tree, and the money would be there for the last people to use. There are 5 families using the tree and there should be $50 if each one donates $10 and that's what we found to be the case.

To help people get an idea of shipping costs, the tree & decorations I sent down, all fit in one box and it was still $25.00 to send down and will be $25.00 to ship back.

Each donated tree will, of course, be a different amount but I think they will be somewhere in the $50.00 range for shipment both directions.

Others can weigh in on what they've spent on shipping to help everyone try to figure out how much to leave in the envelope.

SSR Tree #3 was so pretty. Thanks Chellymouse for your donating the tree and decorations. We carefully packed up the tree and the decorations in the other box and left with bell services. Found out that there is a long term holding area in which they put the trees. Good to know. Put $10 in the envelope. And thank you for the pretty decoration for my own tree. How sweet of you. Just wanted to let you know that the tree came with no stand. There was a note from the first family that the stand was missing.
We propped it up against the tv and chair and it was fine. Thanks again.

We always leave a little gift for the donating family - usually something that represents where we're from or a special ornament to say Thanks!

The idea of listing names to cross off hadn't come up before. We have never had a problem, but I was surprised by Cherokeezebra finding $6 in the envelope. That didn't seem like much at this time of the month. I don't know the whole story, of course. I was just suggesting something for everyone for the future. The shipping will never be a dealbreaker for us.

I know that last year, we had a co-sponsor, canwegosoon! She and I seem to go to BWV every other year and last year, we actually met. This really is a great way to add to the holiday fun while being at WDW.

Sorry that we didn't meet, DISNEY FIX. How nice it would be to be able to spend lets say the whole month of December and set up a hot chocolate urn in the train room just for Disboard get togethers.

The amount of effort, and postive thinking and action required to continue this operation is amazing. Its a testiment to the Dis, and to the DVC boards, you should be very proud.

The Bell Services has been unable to locate BLT tree #1. I wasted 1/2 hour waiting for them to find it yesterday. I will ask one more time today. Not sure what happened to it.

Sometimes, the person that gets the box doesn't understand exactly what it's for and it could end up in long term storage. There was some difficulty locating our tree last year, but they kept looking and finally found it.
They deal with so many boxes each day that it's not surprising that occasionally a box gets 'lost'.
I hope they can find it for you.
