Awesome picture!!! I will show it to a couple of my friends who haven´t decided whether to go or not.
Just under three weeks now!!!

Marquibiri :cool1:

My husband and I will be there opening night, and I can't wait!!! :woohoo:

That Bill and Ted Promo made me jump, hope DH has earplugs on when we go, cause I'm a screamer. LOL!

Anyone following HHN on Facebook? They had a Q&A with TJ Mannarino - Director of Art and Design for Universal Orlando, not to much revealing stuff, but still interesting. Next week is a Q&A with Mike Aiello - Show Director for Universal Orlando. Hope more is revealed. :goodvibes

There will be more Q&A on FB as well...full schedule.
Also, there are conference calls. Two so far.
First one
Second one
With more to come this week and next...and perhaps something else...if I can get them to agree to it....keep your fingers crossed because it will be cool.

They also had one with Michael Roddy a week or so ago

I wouldn't count on anything exciting being revealed - most of it we already know

Yeah, they were pretty tight lipped, but I guess you can't really expect them to reveal to much. I'll be there opening night, I can hold on till then. ;)

BTW...........I live 40 minutes from US, DH works in Orlando, and we can't find one Coke can with HHN on it and it's drivin' me CRAZY! :crazy2:

Come to think of it...I haven't seen any either. They usually have the special cans in the drink machine in my building but I haven't noticed anyone walking around with the HHN cans this year.

Ahh ha, so it isn't just me. DH and I have checked all the supermarkets, soda machines, and gas stations around us, and nothing! Last night we were in Publix and the only cans they had were for the Bucs. We asked the cashier about the cans and she said they never had them and she hasn't seen them either. :confused3

The "Admit One Backstage" link is now active for Chucky, The Spawning, Horrorwood Die In, & War of the Living Dead.

I took a survey from the HHN website. Two questions concerned me:

How scary do you want Halloween Horror Nights to be?
  1. Extremely Scary
  2. Very Scary
  3. Scary
  4. Somewhat Scary
  5. Not at all Scary

How important is it to you that the event be scary?
  1. Extremely Important
  2. Very Important
  3. Important
  4. Somewhat Important
  5. Not at all Important

I answered 2 for the first question and 1 for the second question. I'd hate to see them tone down the scare factor of HHN!

I also told them that the cost of Express Passes are too high and hope that next year's cost are more in line with last year's cost.

Not sure if it was mentioned elsewhere but they brought back the Unmasking the Horror tour this year. (After having it missing from last year). It's where you get to tour a few of the houses in the daytime with lights on to check out the details, take photos, and talk to some of the folks involved.

Get an inside look at this year’s Halloween Horror Nights® as a Universal Orlando® R.I.P. Guide takes you behind the screams, showing you the inner workings of several of this year’s main attractions. Along the way, we will share the ghoulish secrets and haunted history of Halloween Horror Nights® and how it has become one of the most anticipated Halloween events in the world.

Unmasking the Horror Tour ($40.00 per person, tax included):

* Two hours in length. (departs at 10am and 1:30pm daily from Sept. 25th through Oct. 31st on Halloween Horror Nights® event dates only)
* Overview of this year’s Halloween Horror Nights®
* Overview of the history of Halloween Horror Nights®
* “Lights on” behind the scenes tour of select haunted houses with opportunities to take pictures/video throughout
* Free 2009 Halloween Horror Nights® commemorative lanyard (limited to one per tour ticket)

To book your Unmasking the Horror Tour©, check on tour availability or have any questions, please contact VIP Services at 407-363-8295 or email us at viptours@universalorlando.com.

I took that same survey. While I agree that I'd hate for them to tone down the scare factor, I do have to agree with keeping the cost of the express passes a bit higher. Because EPs were so cheap the past few years, it had gotten to the point where it wasn't uncommon for the wait in the express lines to be upwards of 30-40 minutes for some houses on the busier nights. To me that is not acceptable. I feel I shouldn't have to wait more than 5-10 min max. When you look at the daytime EP prices, $59.99 for an EP for HHN really isn't out of line.

I have no problem waiting around 30 minutes in express when the standard line is over 2 hours long. I'm fine if the Express wait is about 1/4 to 1/5 the Standby line. For shorter waits, there's always the RIP option. Also, as you were referring to the busier nights, those express Passes are $74.99 instead of $59.99. Ouch!

There's also the potentional impact to the RIP tours. Where the cost to participate in a non-private RIP tour is only $90 to $100 more than the Express, an increase in participation is likely. This could result in a possible wait in the RIP tour line, which I would find unacceptable.

I forgot there were the two different costs for EPs for this year ...

... RIP tours will never have to wait in line ... and yes they have gotten more popular over the past few years - that's why they changed the non-private tours to 4 hours with different start times.

We have never done the HHN before, this year will our 1st time (going Thurs Oct 1st). We bought one of those Ticketmaster tickets for Universal Studios and were told we could upgrade them to the stay and scream pass but had to do it at the theme park. What are the chances it sells out before we get there or does it rarely sell out especially since we are doing it on a Thursday?
