Chris and the boys cleaned the van for me as a Mother's Day present. They did a good job getting the first layer of dirt out, but I spent 4 hours this afternoon deep cleaning it. It really looks good now You'd never know how little money we have in it I managed one load of laundry so I will need to get a bunch done tomorrow.

My brother has been told by a supervisor that he will not be laid off. He is greatly relieved. Their truck has been on its last leg and he wanted to buy a new one, but was holding off due to his job uncertainty. Today he decided to go ahead and buy it so they will be getting their new truck tomorrow.

Nick talked with his classmates today and found out that a couple of his friends were also asked to either usher or marshall so he is good with it now.

I ordered a new rain suit for Nick today as he has outgrown his old one. The other boys have grown out of theirs too, but they all just moved up to their big brothers. After the boys playing lacrosse in the rain yesterday we realized just how valuable rain suits are.

I did a bit more online shopping too. Chris has his 20th High School reunion coming up and it is at a pond I can't find any swimsuits around here that are sized proportionally for my body so I bit the bullet and ordered one. Hopefully it will fit. I'm not sure why most suits are not cut generously enough at the bust

$70 per person I didn't go to mine as we were camping that weekend. Chris wants to go to his and we are in town so we will go. It is at a local pond and everyone is bringing a side dish to go with hamburgers and hot dogs. We may need to pay a small fee to get into the pond area, but that should be it.

Bernadette - no I'm not completely packed yet, Sunday is my only day off before we leave so it's dedicated as work day.

Brandon won't know until the day we leave.

Bernadette - I am really enjoying your pics!
Ballet Mom knows there are no characters at LTT lunch because we told her when she booked. (She called from her cell phone at ballet last week.) Another mom from ballet is also DVC so we do our best to correct the wrong ideas the other one has. Since the recital is tomorrow we won't see her after she gets back. Which is sort of a shame.

Thanks! OH...I bet you'll get to hear about how much she hated it when she gets back.

I just made one of my students day-- and it feels great! A few of my kids play little league together and one of the moms sent in a flier for another mom about a fundraiser they were having--it was at chickfila-a portion of the check goes to the little league..So i just went with my mom and one of my kids was there..he came running out of the play area with a huge smile and jumped on me! He was so excited to see me--His mom said I absolutely made his day :

Theresa and Bernadette, hope your husbands get their act together soon.

Congrats on the new to you van! Glad your brother job is secure. It is nice that Nick will be participating in the graduation!

This year should be my 30th but I haven't heard anything about it. I'm sure I wouldn't go.

Joe LOVED it! It was really cool. I did Mexico with Lizzy on a weekend and they didn't give you an option to continue. I did France, UK and Japan with Joe on weekdays. It gave us the option of going to another country and you could pick which one. It was really cool how the "stuff" was right there in plain site but the "average" tourist wouldn't even notice it unless you did the Kim Possible adventure.

Bernadette - I'm glad you enjoyed the Kim Possible adventure. We saw an Disney Channel thing about it the other day and Terra is hoping it will still be there in Feb.

Well, we are home from a yummy dinner at Cracker Barrel, a quick trip to pick up Ted Drewes and a drive through a nasty storm to get home. I was hoping we'd make it home before the crazy rain hit, but to no avail. An episode of Gidget while we ate our ice cream and the night was all good.

Now I'm sitting at my beautifully clean desk and basking in the peacefulness of a clean room. (I hadn't cleaned off the desk originally, but decided to do that quickly this evening as it was deterring from the cleanness of the playroom.) All is good! I'm also going to take the clean desk and uncovered photo box as my impetus to start scanning and organizing photos again starting tomorrow morning. For now, I think I'm going to head to bed and enjoy my cake for breakfast tomorrow.
