Singles Trip to WDW in 2009 !!

I'm new to this Forum (actually to the whole DIS website), but am also interested in joining in on this singles trip to WDW.

I'm flexible, any time would work for me.
I've only stayed at POR, so I'd be willing to try any of the hotels out...except maybe the Grand Floridian...too fancy for me.

I'm game for most anything, as long as I can eat at the Sci-Fi Dine In and ride "Soarin".

Oooh...and I'd love to take a Segway tour of either Epcot or Fort Wilderness.

Welcome and hello!! Soarin is one of my favorite rides as well. I agree with the fancy pants Grand Floridian. I would only want to stay there if I got married there, or was on my honeymoon. I have tried mods, but I prefer the Values (Sha, open your mind and enjoy a Value!! ) LOL Anyhow, jump right in, we are all good fun loving people!!

have a lot of points.. and then more with another contract... but that is something to consider since I have been going even more and more (3 out 4 weekend in May alone) but will have more points by end of year probably too.

LOL... maybe that is how I first tried DVC was over on the rental thread. But I will be staying at the values to complete my stays. Have 7 or 8 places left to stay at.

Also going to look at a house up the road. I live in an apt. right now and need to get my kids in a place with a yard. If I get the job and the house things will finally start to go the right way. I don't know whats happening with my X. Its not looking to good. He made the comment the other day that IF he went to Disney it wouldn't be for a few years and that would go for me too. I AM NOT GIVING UP DISNEY!!!! Will try to check in more often and get with everyone on 2009.

I can't believe that I went out of town for 48 hours and I missed so much! Where do I even begin??? Ok, first things first- here's the down low for the newest member (btw, i refuse to be a room with the man)

Dad (aka umm... Zeek - real-life nick-name) is 57 sdm. He loves golf, tv, mickey mouse, and religion. He is very much a gentleman which has spoiled me since & given that there aren't too many gentleman who are my age, I think this is very important and says alot about a person....

and the next topic- Timmy- what blind date??? when did this happen and was he serious???? I seriously don't understand the non-mickey types.

Dizmom- how tragic, but it sounds like there's more to it than a disney trip.... i'm so sorry you're having to go through this. Good luck with the job and house hunt!

Did someone say drinks?!?!? I loved the glowtini on my trip in May, but I am still partial to Margaritas in Mexico and sake in Japan. I still have yet to try the Grand Marnier slushies, but so looking forward to drinking around the world for F&W!!!

Silly me forgot about Glowtini's.. but I dont think of them as park specific I guess (even though I know you can get them there too) as I was thinking as I was walking around the park types. I have a little collection going of cubes

Hey guys, this is incredibly off topic BUT I just read Timmy's blog and her dad died yesterday. He had been mysteriously ill for a little while and took a turn for the worse on Friday, finally passing yesterday. Let's keep her in our thoughts and prayers.

I guess it is his lose !!! Speaking from experience (way more than any person should have on the subject), if he fights the "Disney experience" before he goes, he will make a future trip horrible for you. Hope the job/house opportunities go in your favour and to you and your kids in regards to the other stuff. It is a tough situation and I hope you get what you truely deserve(I mean that in a nice way). DON'T settle for second best ..... it isn't worth it in the end. Sorry ..... don't mean to lecture. I have been in your spot and there is something to be said for enjoying life with just your kids. Sometimes it is even fun !!! You have a spot with us on our trip.
