Grossest Thing You've Seen at the Parks

Well, I'm not sure how "gross" this is, but DD9 is still talking about how tacky this was. We saw a woman carrying her cell phone in her cleavage. Let's just say it was a very revealing top and she had pleny of room for it! (Of course maybe it's just jealousy that I wouldn't be able to do that!)

Angie

I wonder if it was on vibrate?

On our last trip, Dec/07, DW and I, DS4, DS10 are in DTD near La Nouba.
DS4 needs to go to the bathroom, so I take him to the one outside La Nouba.
I had to go as well, so he is at the childrens urinal and I about 3 down, due to others being used so I am not beside him.
The others leave and him and I are now in "full stream".
I am already concerned because he isnt quite tall enough for the urinal, if you know what I mean.
He starts talking "Daddy"..."Yes"..."when they built this place...Why do they...just a second..."
He finishes off his business...I am still relieving. (Afew beers involved)
I am waiting for some deep question into building construction (as I design systems for buildings)
He then says "when they built this place why do they put these..."
HE THEN REACHES IN AND GRABS THE PLASTIC SCREEN IN THE URINAL AND PICKS IT UP!!!!!
I SCREAM "NO!!!! PUT THAT DOWN!!!!"
Flow is cut off immediately and I...still...well..."exposed", jump at him, grabbing his arm and he drops it.
Another gentleman had just walked in as he asked the question and got quite a laugh out of it.
PLENTY of hand washing after that, I have to tell you.

I just posted this on most unexpected things seen in disney but i think it fits here good!! I didn't get a chance to read through all the stories so I don't know if anyone has posted this yet, but when i was there this past December my family and I were in the stand-by line for sorin and there was a very rude family behing us, a coupe and their 3 year old boy, they kept bumping into us and the little boy kept kicking us but all of a sudden I heard this noise and I looked behind me and the mom had a water bottle up to the little boy's area and he was peeing in it! I was so shocked and disgusted!!! She then dropped the bottle, thankfully capped and then proceeded to throw the pee bottle in the trash!!!

I think that some people genuinely believe that because breast feeding is accepted, that nappy changing at any place is also accepted- gross people!

I absolutely agree. I think cars, bathrooms, and other private areas are meant for this NOT RESTAURANTS! Jesus, people don't be dumb.

Great thread. Gross...but great.

I know we all do embaressing things though, so I try to reserve judgement from most things I see at WDW. You never know the backstory of why they are doing those things.

People not washing their hands after using the restroom. You try to teach your kids to always wash their hands, then they see boatloads of people walk out without washing, and you know they gotta wonder why they cant do the same.

I remembered this thread from the summer, right before our August trip. I'm glad it was brought back because after our trip at Christmas, I have one to add.

We were at DTD at Goofy's Candy Company. DH was getting some jelly beans (he's an addict) and all of a sudden this man come running through carrying his son. He had him in a bear hug from behind and was heading toward the door. I thought this was a little odd because the boy was a little older 9 or 10. Then I looked closer, the boy was covering his mouth with both hands. I guess the dad was trying to make it out the door before the boy got sick, but he didn't make it. The boy threw up all over the floor. :scared: You could see the CMs groan. I will say it was handled very well. As we quickly made our exit, a manager CM blocked off the area and others brought cleaning products.

I certainly hope you're talking about the diaper changing and not breastfeeding...

Maybe not considered "gross", but definitley raised my eyebrow. When we were at TL a few years back, my DH and I saw 2 women dressed in head toe, full middle eastern gown attire (sorry I do not know the appopriate name for it, but ya know w/the head and face covering, long wrapped, full dress) they walked right into the wave pool to swim. I saw them walkng toward the wave pool and my first thought was Holy cow they must be sweating to death, it was darn hot out. Then they kept walking towards the wave pool and i said to DH...there is no way they are walking in the water dressed like that...and sure enough in they went. It was the most bizarre thing I ever saw at WDW! Their DH's (or i presume they were their DH's) had gone in ahead of them and were both in speedos which I also do not like to see lol just not my idea of a proper swimsuit for a guy. Anyone ever seen that before? Oh and the couple who were lounging next to us on the beach area, were flipping out, the woman kept saying how unsanitary she thought it was and she was going to complain etc. There were many many people staring at the scene, it was wild.

We went to Dubai for our honeymoon and we saw lots of ladies wearing Burkas (sp?) in the Waterpark swimming in them with their partners who wore speedos. A friend said she even saw a lady go down a water slide in one.

Oh no I was talking about breastfeeding, but it definitely goes the same to diaper changers. Like seriously, can't people go somewhere a little more private. I have no problem with any body parts but I don't want my kids learning about the anatomy of a female upper body so young. It's just a common sense and decency issue for me. I'm a chick and when I eventually have a kid, I'll be courteous enough to go somewhere private... and I don't mean go all the way back to a hotel room, I just ask that you find a corner, or cover yourself. I swear the next time I see someone do that at the dinner table or in a store I'm going to take my shirt off and walk around topless, same thing.

Seriously not the same thing as going around topless. At all. I actually am having trouble even contemplating how someone can equate feeding a baby to just walking around topless. :confused3 Oh well, I must be gross.

Yeah. I was thinking the same thing when I read that. Walking around topless and breastfeeding are nothing alike. And I rarely see anyone breastfeeding in public that doesn't use a blanket or something to cover themselves.

Besides, breastfeeding is not gross....so it really doesn't belong in this thread. (My opinion, of course.)

Hey the dirty t-shirt thing can be fun....we had the best time at Cindy's dinner with the step sisters, because of a shirt a guy was wearing. It said "Laugh so I can see 'em bounce." oooh Anastasia had a ball with that guy...she drug poor Prince Charming and later Cinderella over to him asking what it meant. They did their best to keep a straight face. :rotfl2:

I breastfed 3 children. I always made sure my body parts were quite covered when I had to feed my babies. I do not care for seeing totally exposed breasts during feeding, no one needs to see the entire show. So that is the only time I consider it "gross". Unfortunately, many people equate breastfeeding with being totally exposed because they likely have seen that before. Those same people have probably seen even MORE people discreetly breastfeeding and never knew what they were really doing!

I breastfeed both of my boys. There is no way anyone could see ANY of my body parts. My brother would come in the room and talk with me and never know I had fed the baby. Trust me...I would NEVER walk around topless!:rotfl2. AND if my kids see someone breastfeeding...so what????? It's completely natural.

Seriously, you really think breastfeeding is "gross"? Wow, girl, time to come out of the caveman era. You need to let go of the idea that ****s are something that we shamefully hide from men, but instead that they're a powerfully functional part of the female body, when they need to be.

No shame in having them and using them. Feeding a baby and walking around topless (evidently to attract attention) are two completely different behaviors, and it's unfortunate that in this country women are raised to feel stigmatized about this natural and important part of raising a baby.

"I don't want my kids learning about the anatomy of the female upper body"

Huh!?? What do you think they were nursing on?!

And FWIW, breastfeeding is MUCH more sanitary than using a bottle.

And I'll be darned if I go hide in a filthy germy toilet to nurse a baby. What a negative idea...

ETA: "Go find a corner" Yeah, I'm going to go STAND IN A CORNER somewhere and nurse. Let's all get a mental picture of a lady standing, facing a corner. Yeah, THAT's normal...

Totally agree. Had a really funny story about a CM who didn't know I was nursing a baby until he asked me to hold up my wrist to put on a MVMCP band and I asked him if I could put it on my other hand because I was holding my baby under my shirt with the right one. He about fell over!:rotfl: he had no idea the baby was there.

Personally I think if they want to have the whole **** out there, whatever, but I think it must be kinda drafty....

And the ones who do the whole **** nursing, honey, it AIN'T sexy, your kids have nothing to worry about (except maybe NEVER thinking ****s are sexy;) )

I can't believe this ignorant attitude still prevails.:confused3
