Kids Disney Boutique / Customs Clothes

Hi everyone! I've peeked at this thread a few times in the past, but I have 3 nephews (4,3,1) with no little girls in the family (yet!) and all the outfits I saw were girly. All of the outfits I've seen on here are really super!!

I'll be honest...I haven't gone through the entire post again recently. So, I have a couple of questions: 1) Are there any boyish creations on the thread and 2) Does anyone take orders (I'm interested in matching Hawaiian shirts for 2 boys and 2 men and can't find any Disney ones I like).
Thanks!

Nice outfits everyone. I loved the purple toile outfits. That is something my girls would ask to wear everyday. All the ruffles and such are very cute -- way cute -- but apparently, we are simple folk in this house. :rotfl: My girls seem drawn to the simpler (although equally nice) outfits.

LadyRob, that outfit makes me wish I had a really young one to sew for again. Too, too cute. I'm a little over an hour from the World and we go quite often (although not during the summer so much). We'll have to meet, so I can see those cute outfits in person.

Of course, I'll be on the look out for all the outfits if I ever go back to work. I'm taking the summer off, so I'm having WDW withdrawal. :rotfl2:

Luxy, I'm off to search your site. Didn't you say your ebay ID was also Luxy?

Also, to whomever it was that mentioned the free modeling services, could you please PM me to tell me more. I am toying with the whole eBay idea, and have noticed these outfits seem to do better. While they may be a better quality, I'm sure better marketing also plays a role. Also, I'm not real comfortable posting pics of my kids on my eBay auctions, and they aren't always very cooperative. Besides, I just want to sew. I don't enjoy that aspect of eBay.

Anyway, I think that was about it. I would multi-quote, but I can't figure that out. Yes, I am challenged when it comes to computers.

Arrgghh! I am running girl scout day camp this week and can't get to any of my projects until after the 4th! That's what I get for offering to "help a bit" - I got made CoDirector.

Oh yeah, I did that once along with filling out the survey form thruthfully the way I was asked, and I was made director for our VBS at church. That'll teach me!

If you look on page #186 a couple of people posted some cute outfits they got for their boys. (Embellished overalls, little shorts with coordinating applique on the t-shirt, etc.)

My DS would love a hawaiian shirt, too. I bought a pattern, but I haven't had the nerve to try it yet. (I'm a pretty novice sewer.)

Good luck.

OH SUPER AWESOME!

I would love for you to do that. I have searched everywhere here in town and have haunting yard sales (much to my other half's non-enjoyment:rolleyes1 since he drives me to them...:lmao: ) Let me know how much shipping is and how much you want for it (remember I am cheap:rotfl: )
Thank you so much. Now I just gotta get a chance to make the skirt. :)

I'd be happy to send it along... and don't worry about payment or shipping. It won't be but a few cents to mail. And I'm just happy someone can use it. It has probably been sitting in my closet for the last 5 years without ever being used. My husband and I are in major clean-out and pair-down mode as we are getting ready for our first child (due in December) and have somehow already grown out of our 2000+ sq ft house with just us and the dog!!

Just PM me your info and I will mail it out this week (I have a major post office run to make this week - sending out some books to new loving homes.)

Just to clarify, there haven't been any posts making fun of a child with disabilitites, I'm was just trying to point out, that we are all different, with different families and we have all been respectful of each other until recently. How would you feel, if the mother of that litttle girl with the "dirty face" , was a member of the DIS and read all of your remarks. I just think all of those posts were in bad taste, and I think we're losing our Disney spirits. :confused3

Perhaps some of us misunderstood your post.

I don't know if "you" and "your" is directed at me (since you quoted me) or at the group, but I haven't posted anything on this thread about that child. If her mother were to read here I'd feel bad for her; but I feel equally bad for the mother who felt she needed to leave this thread because she had the impression we were insensitive toward disabled children.

It appears it was a big misunderstanding and all is well :)

I agree...let's get on with the posting of the outfits. I can't wait to check here each day to see the new creations!

I'm so sorry, this wasn't directed at you by any means.

Okay, back to the sewing. Well I finished my tulle skirt, that I copied from someone else. Sorry...It was such a good idea...:rolleyes1
I did the tulle in pink and black, it looks so much better on my DD but she was having none of the phototaking this late at night...LOL.

This was a JoJo outfit that I attempted last year, before I knew how to applique...LOL

This is one that I'm working on now too, but I ran out of fusible web and stabilizer, at the same time... So I have to run to my favorite place, :lmao: Walmart :sad2: tomorrow.

No worries :goodvibes

As for fabric, I found the Small World fabric that Tink's outfit is made out of. They require a minimum of 2 yards, though, so I'm going to have to buy more than I need. I'll probably list the extra on eBay, but if anyone else wanted this fabric, PM me.

I've also seen it (on eBay) with a pink background but can't find that anywhere. If anyone has seen it or knows who the manufacturer is, PLEASE let me know! I'm too chicken to email the seller :)

I *love* that fabric!

stepmom3, you always have the cutest outfits for your daughter. What a lucky girl and a great find on the skirt. It is perfect!
Thanks, you are too kind. And I LOVE your copy of the Minnie outfit, you could sell on ebay yourself and make a ton!!

You always have the best outfits, thanks for sharing another great one!!

just subscribing...

i belong to the group that wishes she could sew, owns a sewing machine brand new in the box, and enough fabric to make clothes for a small country...but still i buy more and admire and dream....thanks for all the ideas...!

I am gonna go check that out! Sounds cool. Zebra and lime is another one of my favs.

Let me know what you think of the site and the clothes and I will pass the info onto my DD. Well at least I will leave her a message for when she gets back from the Warped Tour. The company is vending with the tour. Lucky her gets all expenses paid and money for promoting in the U.S. and Canada.
I like the message that the company has. Very postive image stuff for women.

Nice job! Is this one for Ireland or Alexis?

I already know I'm going to get blasted, so here goes. You know, I really used to enjoy this thread but I don't any longer. It seems people are very rude and judgemental. It was so nice comparing photos and tips, and it seems that one person came along and now I don't care to read the posts anymore. There have been photos on this thread of awful outfits, children with disabilities, and many other things. We have all been kind to each other, and treated each other with respect, until recently. What is going on, you guys? Who really cares if this poor child has something on her face? Gosh, am I the only one, who is more turned off by the adult conversation on this board, than going looking for some poor little girl with something on her face.

Castle, first let me say I am not trying to be mean or "blast you", but I think the people who voiced an opinion on the little girl with the runny nose are allowed to have an opinion. If the mom was reading here she would just have known that potential buyers were grossed out by the snot. No one said anything mean about her child, someone here actually took a moment to email her and make her aware of it. As far as having seen "awful outfits" posted here, perhaps you should just be honest and call them awful when they are posted, instead of acting they like are fabulous. I would be horrified if someone told me something I made was adorable if it was "awful". I think it is rude to dishonestly compliment something posted here or anywhere else. Are you really treating each other with respect if you are being less than honest?

And what did children with disabilities have to do with anything posted ANYWHERE in this thread? I have never seen anyone make fun of or make mean comments about a child with disabilities...I actually read your post to mean that pictures of disabled children have been posted here and everyone has said how cute they are, just to be nice...talk about bad taste. PLEASE feel free to correct me if I am WAY off base, but your entire post offended me and I am not sure why you felt compelled to post it. I also do not think that posting an HONEST opinion about a childs snotty nose makes anyone have less Disney spirit than you. If we cannot have opinions that differ what is the point of having a forum to talk about anything? Just my 2 cents.
