Would you go to Toronto right now?

Did you know that you have a better chance of dying on a roller coaster then catching SARS?!?

I am going to WDW on Saturday for 2 weeks...I intend to ride all 4 coasters: Rock n Roller, Space Mountain, Thunder Mountain and The Barnstormer...SO...the way I look at it, I am going to quadruple my chances of dying...

Lucky you, madonna! Go and have a great time! And ride the Rocknroller coaster a few times more for me, would you? ;)

Don't worry, I'll help boost the Toronto economy for you! I really, really want to go see the Lion King with my dd6.

Polly Ann, did you eat at the hotel at all? We will probably eat breakfast there, but not sure about other meals. I love soft mattresses! Thanks for the mini bar info, I would never have thought to ask to have the stuff removed. I need a place for milk too. Did you get a chance to check out or use the pool? I don't think we will do tours since we will be there for 5 nights, which should give us plenty of time to see everything we want to. I really am looking forward to this trip!

SURE! No problem Polly Ann...any preference in Aeorsmith song so I know which limo to get on for you? :p

The Lion King is FANTASTIC - although I did like Beauty and the Beast better...but that's just me.

To bad your dd is so young - Mama Mia! is AWESOME!!! But I think they have an age restriction on tickets...

Did you guys know that you get 50% at some Canadian Niagara hotels with your Disney Club card?!?

Well put it this way...I deposited $1185 US into my Canadian account yesterday...with the exchange it turned out to be $1660 Canadian...

Basic rule of thumb is you get $1.50 Canadian for every US dollar

does that help?

The exchange now is roughly 1.42. In other words it would cost you $0.70 USD for $1.00 CND or conversley $1.42 CND for $1.00 USD.

Oh, you must watch those banks Madonna, they always add more to their end when exchanging from USD to CND. May I suggest that you convert your dollars to Canadaian either at a foreign exchange house or be4 crossing the border

madonna, Love In An Elevator is always my favorite!! lol

crazy, While we were there the casino was giving a 40% exchange rate. That's where we went to change money (and throw a few bucks on the table, too!) Our friend won a total of $800 cdn while we were there! He'd only go in for about 15 minutes and put $100 down on blackjack and keep winning, then walk out. That was kind of fun, because then we'd all go and spend it out on Clifton Hill!

crazyme, yes we did the pool a number of times. THe kids loved it. Since my dd is 6 and my ds is 4 1/2 I brought bubbles for them to wear in the pool, and they did great. There is a jacuzzi right next to the pool and then they have an adult one (it's wayyyy hotter!) separate from the pool. What I liked best about the pool was it had steps all on one end of the pool to get in, so for the baby he was able to walk up and down the stairs holding onto the railing. He thought it was great fun!

We did NOT eat at the hotel! It was way too expensive! Across the street is Tony Roma's and they have a breakfast buffet, but I'm not sure how much it is. Outback is across the street, too, and Applebee's isn't too far down the road. Down on Clifton Hill is the Golden Griddle and we drove down there every morning for breakfast. They have a great buffet, $8.99 for adults, $4.99 for over 5, and $1.99 for ages 2-5, under 2 is free. There is also Denny's, if you like their breakfast food.

At the Marriott, my dh and his friend each had an order of calamari, my dh had 2 manhattan's, and his friend had 4 beers and the bill was $101cdn! That was about $75US. Even with the exchange it was ridiculous. I brought plastic bowls and spoons and a box of cereal for my kids in case they got up early and were hungry before we could get to breakfast.

You can email me with any questions, too, crazy. We did so much stuff I can't put it all in one post!

How far is the casino from the hotel? I am thinking about hiring a sitter for an evening (not sure how my 17 and 14 year olds will take it LOL!).

The hotel offers a shuttle to the casino and the falls for $5.80cdn and I was under the impression that was for your whole stay. We didn't use it, we used the car, and it was less than a 5 minute drive to the casino. However, you will be there in busier times, so the shuttle may run more frequently and may be well worth the money.

They should offer FREE service because we stayed at the Renaissance last year and it was free. Of course, don't try to compare it to Disney's transportation, because it's not as timely! lol

casino was giving a 40% exchange rate

OMG what a rip off!!!

get your money exchanged elsewhere - even MORE bang for your buck!!

Polly - it just happens that Love in a Roller Coaster is one of my fav's - no problem!

madonna, I've been told that the casino is the best place to exchange it. Where else can you exchange it in NF? I'm always for getting more money! lol

Aerosmith is one of my favorite groups. Reminds me alot of my younger days (late 70's, early 80's!) Give Steven a big fat sloppy kiss for me! lol
