Just got back a little while from the full body scan at the hospital, and the news was so good that our normal specialist came over during break to pass along the news herself. Justin had no indications of any remaining cancer in his scan this time around!
We were a little nervous because we had been told that we would not get any news until the normal appointment tomorrow afternoon, but the technician asked us to stay in the room while the radiology Dr. reviewed the images to make sure they had what they needed. We were in there for a while and next thing you know we were being told that our specialist was coming over to speak with us. Of coarse we were thinking the worst, but then she said she wanted to see us and say we were good to go, no need for biopsies or radiation tomorrow! Just a visit in the fall, followed by annual imaging for a while to be sure everything stays in check. The blood work showed a very slight chance that he might have some cells hiding out somewhere, but they were so small that they could not been seen.
Justin is off with his friends tonight and we're going to celebrate by seeing the new Pixar film (wonder if we can sneak some Kungaloosh into the film in an Icee cup????)
Thank you all for your support, prayers and well wishes.
