Wifey's Gang Trip Report Updated post 71(we're in a Parade)

Here you go....

Day 6 Wednesday 28th June MGM

We were a little sore this morning but DS was fine, after having a cooked breakfast in the food court we soon got ready and walked to the bus stop for about 9.15 am. Soon got through the gates, honestly the security checks took hardly any time:thumbsup2 Again we went to Star Tours and this time we sat in the front row seats it seemed like a new experience that close up. The motion range seemed bumpier than from the back row on our last encounter, it was still a great ride. There was a mum with three young sons further up the row who looked a little worried about how her boys would react but they loved it too. Then we walked across to the Muppets 3D show and this time it was busier.I used the pre-show time to really get a good look around the room while we waited to go in there's some good props and stuff from the films and the show there. Thinking of our sunburn we opted to go on the Backlot Tour next and strangely some of the effects were not working today in the area where they re-create the Pearl Harbour attack which was a bit disappointing for guests who have never seen it. We love that bit of the tour it gives you an appreciation for the craft of film making and special effects creations. At least the weather was holding up so we went over to the trams and enjoyed the backlot we love the Catastrophe Canyon and all the workings behind the results. It always catches people out who have no idea what's coming:lmao:
After a brief walk though the exhibits on the way out we realised we didn't have a show schedule how naughty of us to forget one;) So off I went to find a CM and luckily found one (Elaine) and asked when the next Lights Motors Action show was due to start. She said the first one for the day was in about an hour and gave us a copy of the show schedule. We thanked her and had a look at the rest of the show times and took a couple of photos and then headed in to the Animation show this year it's about Reme and the film Ratatouille.
P6270275.jpg
From there we headed back to LMA There was no seats left on the lower levels and a section was roped off and marked reserved. We had to by-pass it and made our way up to a higher row to find seats. It was very hot up there even with the fans on (in the roof) pointing over the heads of everyone seated it didn't help much. Thank goodness we took bottled water in with us we were melting just sat there before the show began. While we waited we noticed folks walking slowly around at the back of the show area. I wondered what they were doing and then it became apparent they were a private tour group being escorted across. Some of them were very heavy and took ages to get across the stage and up the steps to their seats. Eventually they were sat down and the show began, it was a different crew to the one we had watched on the previous Friday but they put everything into their performances even the girl on the motorbike at the finish was outstanding.
P6270268.jpg
We love the show and always try to see it butI think it's a pity that it took so much space from the Backlot Tour, but hey we can't have everything there's only so much space to use.

Lunch time had passed but we were not hungry our breakfast had filled us up so we decided to have an afternoon snack Mickey Premium Ice Creams for us and an Itsakadoozie for DS. The cart was not far from The Great Movie Ride so we found a shady corner near Brown Derby to eat our ice creams and relax. After a quick break to clean our hands we went into TGMR and waited in line for what seemed like forever but was actually only about 20 mins. DS found someone's glasses on the rope so I hung on to them until we got to a CM when I haded them over and explaied where they had been found no doubt they would be missed. When we finally got on board of the vehicle it broke down and after 3 attempts none of the CMs could get it moving:confused3 They had to call someone and get it emptied of us guests and they had to push it away!! So there we were still waiting and who walks by but another Dream Squad CM with a full black bag and we were left wondering what was going on. Finally we had another vehicle and boarded and pulled away only to get stopped by the bit with the syncronized swimmers for a while. Then we were away again off to the bit with the gangsters were, we didn't stop until we reached the bank hold-up where I don't recall the bank exploding in flames " honey umm I think we've got version B" I said to DH as our CMs changed over and we carried on. It was still enjoyable just different. Content with that we decided to go into the "Sounds Dangerous" show which DS has never experienced before and we have not done for years. It was nice and cool and very dark in there but a very good show it made us all laugh. We stepped out into the sun again and had a browse through the shops and saw more Dream Squad members about but they did not appear to be doing anything.

Another observation we saw lots of photopass photographers on this trip but not many of them were keen to take photos of people, which is defeating the object of employing them in the first place.

So DH decided to take some more photos and while we were on our way down passed ABC Commissary we noticed Mike and Sully DS wanted his photo with them and so did I so we waited in line. The CM at the front told everyone (I loved this bit) to put their autograph books away they wouldn't get them signed because monsters hate paperwork. You could only get a picture with them. There were a few tantrums ahead of us but everyone accepted it or left. Then Mike and Sully took a quick break to go to the Laugh Floor at MK we were told by the CM and after 5 mins they were back and we soon got our photo done. It was so much quicker than if they were doing autographs as well as photos, the line whizzed along in no time at all.

We had done everything we had planned to do except for our dinner ADR at Sci-Fi Dine-in at 5.15 pm. I thought it might be worth trying to check in early it was 4.45 pm anyway so only half an hour before our slot. So up to the podium I went . They couldn't find our ressie it's just as well I wrote down the numbers when I called Disney Dining weeks ago. Ahhh they said we have your name spelled differently on the computer but yes that's your number alright take a seat we'll call you. So we waited lucky for us we were indoors so we were out of the sun. We sat there for the full half hour all the while other guests tried to get a slot for dinner that night and every single one of them was turned away. They were fully booked up to 10 pm.We were called and seated within a few minutes of our time slot so no complaints from us. the place was very clean and very authentic our servers were Amy and Patrick they were fab:love: We all shared the front seat of the car, another family had the back two rows, Ds was our driver:thumbsup2
P6270280.jpg
DH and I slit a starter of onion rings he also had a "Blue Glow-tini" drink and I had a "Space Monkey" both very good drinks DS had a Sprite . Our main courses were a barbeque chicken sandwich no cheese for DH and for me a Caesar Salad with chicken, both were great. DS had the kids hot dog meal with fries and grapes. For dessert we ordered chocolate sundaes DH's was a complimentary one from the staff to celebrate his birthday he also got a card from the servers and we each got a "driving license' too but DS had to promise he would only drive that we were in and no others:rotfl: By then it was getting late and we were very stuffed so we wandered back to the bus stop to get back to our room for a quick cup of hot chocolate and then bed happy and content. Tomorrow still to come MK.

A great day. I love the atmosphere in the Sci-fi and all those B movie clips! I can't wait to see Ratatouille, but I don't think it is out here until October.

Laur's princess:

Sounds like another fab day:goodvibes , gald you enjoyed SCI FI, we had a terrible server when we ate there recently :confused3

Day 7 Thursday 29th June Magic Kingdom

This morning we all got up a but earlier and we jumped in the shower Ds had a cool bath. That heat rash was now on my legs drat! So on went the lotion and stronger sunscreen. and I took an anti-histamine tablet to try to ease it. We skipped breakfast to get to the bus stop quicker. Once we got into the park I bought a bottle of water and we jumped on the Roy O Disney train and it took us around to Toon Town Fair. Having seen the numbers of guests entering earlier we had a new strategy work from the back to the front.
DH had left the camera behind but did have the photo pass card in his hand:thumbsup2 thank goodness he had thought of it before we left the room:love: So we walked through Mickey's house and over to the show tent for a quick snap with the mouse, as soon as we left DS wanted to go on Goofy's Barnstormer ride he had wanted to do it earlier in the week but the line was terrible then. Today it was much shorter so in we went.Once our turn came he sat with me and DH sat behind us and we were off. On one of the turns DS bumped his head on the side of the cab but he was fine, just complained that it didn't last long enough so maybe he's growing out of it now.
That part of the park started to fill up a little more so we headed to Tomorrow Land and did the Laugh Floor again it was just as funny as the previous visit. DH went to get FPs for Buzz and we went into PhilharMagic again. then we decided to grab some lunch at Columbia Harbour House always good food and cool air inside. When we were done with lunch we made our way back to Buzz and DS made Space Ace:thumbsup2
Our next stop was Adventure Land where we got FPs for Jungle Cruise again
and into the pin trading shop near the Mercantile Store. I chose a "Pirates" lanyard and a limited edition of "Pirates" pins and went over to the ride. Another first experience was lining up on the left hand side, hmm it's usually the Fast Pass queue so we've never been on that side before it's different .
Next along the way was the Swiss Family Robinson Tree House at DS request. How could we refuse when he asks "Please may i go on..." at least he's remembered some manners. We noticed on the way up there was another Dream Squad CM lurking close by the tree and we didn't see anything get handed out by him:confused3 as we left the tree I mentioned that I wanted to go in the Tiki Room (it's one of my personal favourite things in this park) so off we went and really enjoyed it apart from the fact half of the lyrics were missing. I must have been the only one to notice except for the CM in there, that's probably because it's on my iPod:rotfl: When we came out we still had 15 mins to kill before our time slot openedso we sat down and relaxed and took in the sights and smells and re-applied lotion.
Once we got on JC we agreed they've made some improvements to the sets and our skipper Joe was way more fun than John on our previous cruise and he put in more jokes and was more lively too.

By now it was getting close to parade time again, don't get me wrong we like them it would just be nice to see a new one from time to time.We headed back towards the hub and walked down Main Street again to the front of the park to catch a train the whole way around the park. The one we boarded this time (yes they do shout "all aboard") was the Walt E Disney. It was a good way to cool down and see the park from a different angle.
When we walked back up Main Street we browsed a few shops and noticed how expensive the baseball and basketball shirts were:eek:
Once we went through the last shop Casey's Corner we were ready for dinner and looked at the menu a Tomorrow land Noodle Terrace, I know we could hardly believe it was open either, but they didn't have a kids option Ds would eat so we left and went back to Cosmic Ray's.As soon as we walked in the door the place was lovely and cool and very clean as always.CM Frances took our order and claimed she was too tired to work :lmao: and she needed DS to do it for her. She picked him up and put him on her knees and said "don't touch anything until I show you which buttons to press" and he promised he would do as she told him. So as we told her each part of our order she showed him which ones to use and how to get the total up. Then she thanked him for his help and said he can come back anytime. Ds loved it and went to talk to CM Laura at the pick-up counter. While we sat eating we decided we had done most of the things we had wanted to get done . BTMRR was very busy all day and DS didn't want to go on Space Mountain I think perhaps that the darkness made him uneasy about it but that's fine there will be chance to do it in the future;) . It was an EMH evening but we gave it miss and went back to the hotel DS had strawberry milk and a cookie and we bought a six pack of Bud and drank 2 of them (saving the others for another night)and turned in for the night. Coming up next ...gasp...a day free from Disney:)

We had made plans for today weeks ago, we had booked the Shopping Extravaganza with our Virgin rep Linda. The last time we had one of these excursions was '98 so we didn't know how much if anything had changed over the years. So here goes....

Day 8 Friday 29th June i-Phone launch day and shopping.

We were told to meet the tour company at 8.30 am so DH had set the alarm early 6.30 am. We dragged ourselves out of bed and got ready and we were waiting outside the lobby of All Star Music by 8 am. There was a few families waiting with us some from Glasgow and some from Cardiff they may be disers too. We got chatting while we waited and the kids played amongst themselves with balloons from the CMs outside. The big touring coach delayed on the road by about 10mins but we had seen reports on the news of some problems so we took a guess that's what happened. Our driver was great and gave us the schedule for the day and told us we could put bags and large goods under the bus in the huge storage area there. We had to check that if we put anything in and removed it to make sure it belonged to us first.
Our first stop was World of Denim just near Little Lake Brian (Marriott Village) area DH had to really search for anything in size medium but he did find a t-shirt. I was not that impressed with the choice of ladies clothing though, I'm not into the whole Playboy or Baby Phat designer range thing. We were given an hour there but everyone was back on board in half an hour. So on to the Premium Outlets up from WOD we went, the driver handed out our breakfast vouchers for "Villa Pizza" I thought it a strange choice but hey at least we got fed. We had a choice of 3 items for breakfast or the breakfast pizza (which actually was fine)and a large drink of still lemonade each. Then we hit some shops.. we know the mall well we try to go there whenever we stay off-site in Orlando.. and soon made our way to the Ralph Lauren Polo shop and the Timberland store. The tops for DS were
$20 each from RLP so much better than at home. Then we looked through the Adidas shop ad they had a sale plus buy one get the second one half price or buy three for the price if two so I bagged 2 polo shirts for $15 and some capri pants and matching jacket for £50 so $65 in total. We looked in a few more shops and found DS some Geox trainers for $37 in one of the kids shoe shops half of the cost at home:thumbsup2 By now time was flying by and we had to bet back to the bus it was 1 pm.
After 10 mins we were at the Lake Buena Vista Factory Outlets and DH said I should really try to find a new pair of trainers, I was not keen on the ones in the Nike or Adidas stores. So off we walked to the Reebok shop and had a good look around and we found a couple of nice pairs there so I bought them $75 for 2 pairs of suede trainers. We continued to walk about and DS went into the toy shop and wanted a big bag of army men so he payed for them with his own money. As we stepped out of the door the rain came down heavily, we kept going it was still warm we just tried to keep under the shop canopies as we went and made it all the way to the GAP outlet where DS chose 3 t-shirts $10 each and some long shorts and DH found a military green camouflage hoody $20 ish, so really great prices:thumbsup2 We quickly made our way back to the bus. Then the driver took us to the local Wal-Mart Super Centre(great shop) for an hour.
Then we began the long drive to the Florida Mall. It took about 40 mins to get there mainly due to weekend traffic and while we were sitting on the bus we took a look at the map on the back of the schedule which had a list of all the shop locations.
Once we got there we were give our lunch vouchers it was close to 3 pm and our driver told us to meet him at a designated spot in three hours. We had to walk past the huge queue outside the Apple store waiting for the i-Phone launch they had to bring in extra security to stop trouble amongst the customers in line, they took up lots of the floor space it was difficult to be past them. Our vouchers were for Chick-fil-a which was very tasty and hot and the whole place seemed busy. We had a good look about but after an hour had been everywhere and all we bought was candy for DS in Dylan's Candy Shop and DH bought an iced coffee from Starbucks. To be honest we can whizz around the Metro Centre here in an hour too and have a good look for what we need and buy it. We can say we didn't see much of a difference between the big stores there except for varying prices the quality of the merchandise was the same everywhere.;) If you can drive to the Florida Mall the merchandise at the Disney store had better prices than the stuff in the parks just to let you know;) We killed some time looking through some shops and DS kept pestering me for a jawbreaker out of his bag of candy I said he could have one once we were back on the bus. In less than 5 minutes of giving him one he began to moan that he didn't like the taste of it, so, we told him he would have to suck it until we got back to our room there was nothing we could do about it. After all he had 5 of them in his half a pound bag of sweets. By then it was smaller than a marble and he put it in the bin:) kids go figure:) . It was a tiring day mainly because we didn't get much fresh air and we could have done with and extra half an hour at the Premium Outlet Mall we only got half way around it due to the higher number of people there and we really didn't need three hours at the Florida Mall but otherwise a great day shopping, thank you Dolfin Tours our driver was excellent.

sounds like a great way to do a shopping trip when you haven't a car
how much was this trip

we won't have a car when we go, this trip sound good, : do they run everyday? how much each? how did you book it?

thanks

To jns, DisneyJo and irongirlof12, we have just found the receipt for our excursions. The shopping extravangza was booked with our Virgin rep in Orlando and she had our vouchers waiting for us at their desk at Orlando International Airport, prices were $39 per adult and $29 per child ages 3-11 plus tax. You'll be given a location and time to meet on your receipt which you hand over to the driver. The coach was locked between shops and the driver was very efficient and polite, the trip only runs on fridays as far as i know but as you say a great way to do it without a car.

Still to come Day 9 Animal Kingdom with photos:thumbsup2

Great couple of days. The shopping trip sounds like it was a lot of fun. We love the Premium Outlet mall - and Villa Pizza!

I'm back everyone sorry for the delay we've been experiencing technical difficulties with our computer grrr....:badpc: :badpc:

Now where were we oh yes ...

Day 9 Saturday 30th June DTD

We didn't manage to pull ourselves our of bed until 8 am but we had decided to take a rest day, not all boring though. After catching the bus to DTD we were soon at the bus stop up by Cirque du Soleil and walked all the way back to the AMC for tickets for the 10.45 am showing of Ratatouille and grabbed a soda and popcorn before taking our seats for the show. We really laughed out loud while we watched the film it's so well thought out and the animation is outstanding and very funny. After that we walked over to Disney Quest and had a go on the virtual Jungle Cruise it's a fun way to spend 10 minutes and then walked through the other areas the boys were happily playing those old arcade games they have. Before we considered the time our appetites cried out for sustainance so we took a quick peek at the offerings on the 4th floor but decided to leave. To be honest the choices were expensive and not much there DS would eat so we headed for the good reliable McD's which was heaving at 1.30 pm, then I remembered lots of locals eat there too .So we had a leisurely browse through the shops noticing the new merchandise and all of the girls who had just been to the boutique all done up and fancy like. DS kept wandering off after we told him to stay with us the shops too were very busy we didn't want him to get lost. As usual he kept wandering off and didn't listen to us so we almost lost him in one shop. Off he went not noticing where we went or where he was going, we stopped and waited for about 5 minutes. He had a panic and started to cry as he made his way back to us, what can you do short of leading him by the hand? We headed over to Once Upon a Toy to see if we could find those "build your own light sabers" and just as DH was getting to grips with it DS went wandering again so back it went and off we went to get him letting him know that he was not going to have one because he wandered again:headache: So to try and cool off we went to Goofy's Candy Co. and chose a sweet treat we both picked custom dipped caramel apples,DH's had peanuts and sprinkles mine had M&Ms and sprinkles drizzled with white chocolate and caramel. DS chose marshmallows dipped in milk chocolate and Oreo crumbs rainbow sprinkles and white chocolate drizzled over the top )mmm they were so good that night but we couldn't finish them they were so big). The stick on the marshmallows was actually a Mickey straw:thumbsup2 We left the shop and headed to the bus we didn't want the caramel to run too much in the heat and had a relaxing evening with dinner at the food court and an early night hoping that we would be refreshed for the following day.

Day 10 Sunday 1st July Animal Kingdom

DH was up early and went to get our breakfast coffee and milk for DS who was still in a mood. We were off down to the bus by 9 am and on our way by 9.30 am. We got to the park and DS's fan needed new batteries I sear it eats them, oh well.. From the shops we went straight over to Africa for Kilimanjaro Safaris and after the half hour wait we really enjoyed it there were lots more animals out and active compared to our last safari ride DH took a few great photos of some of them.
P7010290.jpg

Just as we left the area between Africa and Asia we found the Flights of wonder show just starting so we went in. It's a great show and if you've never seen it we highly rate it and the birds are fantastic. We love Guano Joe he really helps explain the importance of recycling and protecting the environment, it's easy to forget how birds help the environment, and again DH managed to get some great shots of the birds in the show he had a seat right at the end of the row it was ideal.
P7010317.jpg
From there we walked over to another favourite of ours which we still had to see this trip Maharaja Jungle Tre. We love to see the tigers lolling against the walls just like a domestic cat all fluffed up and panting form the heat.
P7010328.jpg
DS picked up a bird spotters guide and we managed to find most of them with a little help from a CM. We saw all the usual animals there it always seems odd to me that DS will have nothing to do with the fruit bats not sure if it's the smell or the look of them he's not keen on.

After a quick rest stop we decided to go to DinoLand and it's a nice walk so we stopped to take a picture of the temple shrine close to Expedition Everest. There ws another YOAMD CM therewe think he was pin trading with some girls he was talking to and gave them a DVD. Yet again we got to dinosaur and the line for standby was 50 mins so we grabbed FPs and went in the shop and the heavens poured down. After about 10 minutes we risked a brisk walk over to the left side of the entrance to Dinosaur there we found a lovely covered seating area out of the rain where we waited for our FP time to come around and then enjoyed the ride which gave me a bit of a jolt towards the end, but still very worth while. As we left and were just heading back across we were greeted with a warm hello from CM Steve (YOAMD)who wished DH a happy birthday and asked how we were doing we told him that DS has losing the pin backs from his pins and he laughed saying they are fun to play with but he really should not do it and gave us a voucher for some lockable pin backs only valid for that day in that park we thanked him very much and tried to find some but not one could be found ahh well it's the thought that counts. So we went to Kali River Rapids:rotfl: great fun but we were drenched and than headed back to our room to dry off and change and an early dinner in the food court. As we made our way across to our building the skies opened again for the next few hours. So we watched the weather closely
P7010013.jpg

Great couple of days. Those marshmallows sound amazing, I am going to need to check out Goofys Candy Co in September. I am also really looking forward to seeing Ratatouille, it sounds so good. I hope the weather improved for you guys.

Laur's princess:

Your photos are great and I agree with Laur's the marshmallows sound delicious :goodvibes

That was a baby giraffe not very old I think the CM said it was 4 months or so and so laid back, we saw a male and female just ahead of him and they moved in unison posing beautifully for folks to get a good shot of their markings.
The eagle was called Hope she's been an inspiration for lots of people to help the environment but they had lots of other birds who do a wonderful job of keeping our planet clean. That said no-one can persuade me to like vultures.
I think it's unfortunate that the tigers there are unable to breed (like the ones at Busch Gardens) and I think that they could benefit from a little more shade from long grasses and cat friendly plants etc which can easily be planted in the tiger enclosures.
BTW Kali River Rapids was another first time ride for us and we all got soaked, DS worst of all. Since the weather turned on us it took us 2 days to dry everything out again those clothes lines above the bathtubs do come in handy:thumbsup2

Those apples were yummy and gave a contrast between the sweet sticky outer layer and the crispness of the fruit I think they used Granny Smiths and they were BIG, DS's marshmallow stick was so sweet he could only eat a little bit at a time.

The rain only lasted for 2 hours or so but we've seen it rain like that before on previous visits so we were not concerned we stayed in doors. Some of the Brazilian boys were playing football in the car park barefoot and didn't want to stop their game when the rain began. A very concerned CM kept trying to get them to go to their rooms but they ignored him so the CM had a meaningful conversation over his walkie-talkie with Disney Security who gave him instructions. After a short while he said something (possibly in their own language) to them and they left sulking as they went. By then it was raining as bad as in that photo and even they must have realised that they could have been struck by lightning if they stayed out there any longer.
We have our photos back from the disposable camera and DS has taken them to school this morning to show his class:love: they came out really well:cloud9:

Day 11 Monday 2nd July Epcot

We woke around 7.30 am feeling refreshed and ready to face the day.We were soon down at the bus stop on our way to Epcot by 9.15am and found our way through the entrance fairly quickly once we arrived. That's the great thing about taking smaller bags really shortens the length of time spent at the security lines so it's worth remembering to take the minimum essentials.

Once we walked in there war no queue for Spaceship Earth again so in we went, we like new additions they have included at the end where you come back out.
If you head over to Innoventions they have some really cool stuff in there now great fun for everyone, we saw quite a few people lining up for the Segway trials it looked like fun but only guests over 16 could try them. We saw most of Innoventions on our previous day in this park so we skipped it this time.
DS decided he wanted to do a World Showcase Passport so we found one in a shop close to SSE and then headed over to the message board to find out what the standby and FP times were like for all of the rides and chose some things to do for the day. By now we were hungry we had skipped breakfast at the hotel so we went to Sunshine Seasons for a lovely cinamon pastry to eat and a large cup of coffee each DS had his favourite cereal Fruit Loops and strawberry milk. I need my morning cuppa just to function so once we had some sustainance we were ready to go.
Just as we were heading back out DS proclaimed he just had to see The Circle of Life again (we had avoided it so far) so we tried to expain to him that we were keen to do some new things on this trip and pointed out how may things he had done this time that he had really enjoyed. He still refused to leave it be so off we went into the waiting area and saw the show. I still can't believe it but there was some girls waiting getting annoyed with each other because they wanted to be in first to get seats at the front in case they would be asked to get up and dance:confused3 :confused3 umm have they not read their park guides do they have no clue at all OMG talk about so wrapped up in themselves:sad2:
Any way once we escaped we went back to my favourite ride here Figment which we all enjoyed again and yes I got the t-shirt the towel and a small plush toy of him to go with my Epcot pin with Figment on. He was outside the ride for photo ops with guests if you want one of him I paassed up on it for the sake of getting over to TT for FPs and then we walked into the World Showcase. I still believe that the park should be finished to the way Walt dreamed of it being done it wold be so interesting. So off we went to all of the countries for DS to get his WSP done and on the way we went on the rides in Mexico (loving The Three Caballeros BTW very funny) and Norway always good but for some reason the line today took ages. From there we worked our way around to China and noticed on our show schedule that American Adventure was due to start in half an hour so we said to DS we'd go back to China once we had seen AA and he could still get his passport done in both countries so he was happy. We arrived early and found a seat in the lobby and listened to "Voices if Liberty" while we waited chuckling at some of their antics with the audience. One of the female singers sung at such a high pitch it hurt my eardrums to listen to her and we had visions of her setting off all the dogs in a 5 mile radius barking because of her singing. One of the songs was sung to the tune we recognise as God Save the Queen so we were not impressed by it.. something about Proud to be an American :confused3 I must say there is a lot of selective editing in the show when it comes to American and British history but still a good show none the less.
DS was hungry when we left so we bought him some lunch at Liberty Inn and we all went back to China where DH and I had some food from the new menu at Lotus Blossom I had the Orange Chicken and DH had the Mongolia Beef mine was lovely just the right portion side DH said his was spicy and not much of a portion for him three little pockets of beef. Then we were back on schedule continuing to Japan where one of the CMs told DS he may get a prize at the end if he completed all the countries in the passport which spurred him on all the way to Canada where the rain started again and DS was given a special poster for his work.

Pat 2 to follow soon;)

Enjoyed reading part one and looking forward to part two. I really must try to have my picture with Figment next time, I have never seen him out before. Orange chicken sounded yummy.
