If you follow the path from Mickey and Friends as shown below, it's a little over a half mile. There are no trams. I found the same thing to be true at WDW when I was there last week. I had to walk to the parks from where I parked my car, and it was a walk.
What kind of pressure do you think will make a difference right now? I've been parking at the Toy Story lot, and though it's not my first choice, it is an option. I do leave before most of the crowds so haven't had to deal with a large wait.
And I will admit that when I parked at Mickey & Friends the first time I had to sit down on Main Street and talk myself into getting up and walking back. Once I got started, though, as tired as I was, I just dealt with it and it wasn't as bad as I had built up in my mind. The walk is lined with trees and there are benches to rest (of course, I walked early in the morning and late at night, so no sun to bother me). The people I really felt for were the ones in wheelchairs (not ECVs) and the lady walking with a walker. I hope that Disney does offer some type of vehicle service for the disabled, and that she just didn't know about it.
I guess, as a community we can just not go, but I don't think that there are enough people that are willing to give up going to Disneyland that would make any kind of monetary impact. The other thing would be to write and make a statement/complaint at City Hall.

I might have heard wrong, but I thought most of the trams were in bad shape and needed extensive work to get up and running? If that is the case, why doesn't disney just get them fixed, which gives peoples jobs, and get them running again. It's a sad situation when the trams are let go and people of all ages have to walk that far. I would like to think they are working on it.
