Inspired by the Year to Create, I thought we could list our creative goals for the year on this thread, separate from the BAN wagon. I plan to check my list every few months and see how I'm doing.

My goals:

Scrapbooking:
- Album for DsD's graduation in June DONE
- My parents' wedding album DONE
- Finish chronological albums for 2006 and 2007 DONE
- Work on travel albums for 2005-2007
- ABC album of my cat (his baby album, so to speak)
- Start non-trip specific Disney park albums (one per park, using swap stash)
- Decide what I want to do with my childhood photos - scrap or put in photo albums - and work on scanning them in to the computer

Other:
- Create a stash of homemade cards to have on hand so I am not always making (or buying) one at the last minute
- Start making Christmas cards in October! (I say this every year, let's see how I do)
- Finish the decor projects I want for my scrap room walls (I have a box full of half-finished projects)
- Get (and STAY!) organized! (This is probably the most unrealistic goal)
- Deal with box of unfinished CKC projects before this year's CKC in May

How about you?

Great idea! :thumbsup2

I would like to:
make a few photo books, maybe one for each of 05,06,07

finish my disney 05 trip (07 is already in a photo album)

ebay a ton of unused scrap stuff

do a 2 page spread per month of highlights of '08. Last year, I bought the Karen Foster calendar
creations paper for each month, and it's been untouched.

make some cards to avoid the $3-5 each time I need one!

Good idea, NEE.

My Goals
-make a birthday calendar and make sure I have cards for all birthdays
-finish scrapping '07 Disney trip
-finish Dad's Air Force scrapbook
-get as far as possible on the kids' books
-make tumbled tile coasters for Dad and DFIL for birthday or father's day gifts
-make a countdown to Christmas calendar project for Christmas '08
-make at least 5 Christmas cards a month to be ready next year
-make a 2009 calendar for DMIL for Christmas
-stay organized

This is great! Here are my goals:

1. Finish 2006 and 2007 family albums. 2006 is done!!
*My plan for the 2007 album is to scrap 2 months of 2007 in each month of 2008 (so the 2007 album would be done by June of 2008). 2007 is done, too!!
2. Order pics every month and keep 2008 family album current.
3. Do WDW book from October 2005.
4. Finish the other 5 or 6 album projects I have in the works.
5. Maybe try to complete an album of my dad's Army photos for his Christmas '08 present.

I separated all of my high school and growing up pics into photo boxes several years ago, and there they sit. I'd like to be able to do something with them.

Now, my "almost definitely not gonna happen this year, but I can try" list:
1. Do an album or albums for my brother of his years playing high school and college baseball--I think that when they have a child, his child would like to see that!
2. Do an album for my Mom with family photos.

Thanks, NEE for starting this! I feel inspired!!

I have a list of goals that I set for every month.

I would like to:
- Catch up on DD's yearly book
- Catch up portrait album
- Organize pictures
- Get WDW trips scrapbooked

Here's mine!

Keep up to date on the boys albums (I'm only a couple of weeks behind :faint:, not bad from a standing start in 2 years :thumbsup2 )

Keep 2008 album up to date

Use Xyron PCS more to get full value out of it

Keep to spending limit:rolleyes1

Make cards as I go so I don't have to buy any this year

Will I keep to it? I don't think I've set anything I can't do, I just need to be organised. Oh, and I need to finish up some cross stitch stuff somehow - I started a picture for each of my DSis's kids when her eldest was up to 3, and now her youngest (of 4) is nearly 9 :faint:

ETA Sort MIL photos and put a selection in a suitable album. They've been under the sideboard for 3-4 years now and DH keeps muttering (I tell him they're HIS family, and why did MIL bring themround anyway  )

Great idea!

1. Finish 2006 Family Album
2. Do 2007 Family Album
3. Finish 9/06 Disney Trip Done!
4. Do 6/07 Disney Trip Done!
5. Do DD and Ds's autograph books from 6/07 trip
6. Do DS's ABC album Done!
7. Do Mother's Day album for my DM
8. Do 12/06 San Francisco Trip Done!
9. Update DD and DS school albums

Goals for 2008

We retire March 1st and leave for an extended trip March 3rd. My biggest goal is to create and execute a plan for keeping all our souveniers, photos and trip notes organized. In my wildest dreams, they would actually get into Albums as we go.

Write something every day. Now that I am old, and looking down the long past of my life, I see that so many things have changed that my granddaughters, born and honorary, will never know about unless they hear it from me - so many special people who are gone and will be forgotten unless I capture them to paper.

Scrap more, shop less.

DO SOMETHING with the 47 trays of slides that I photographed and put in the computer last year. There are stories to go with them, too, but not til I write them down.

My modest 2008 goals are as follows:

TO finish my 2005 Disneyland/California trip (BEFORE we go to WDW in April!!).

To complete AT LEAST two calendar years for each child's life album.

To finish and print my family tree books (digital, not traditional).

I don't participate in swaps, so no problem there.

NO gift albums (took up most of my summer in 2007, as well as all of January!!). Hope no one is having a "big "number birthday!

Ready, get set, SCRAP!.................P
