Walmart/Toys r Us

We will be arriving in Las Vegas from Canada on April 9-13. Just curious are there any Walmarts or Toys R Us that are close to the strip. I would like something that is nice and clean. I have been to a Walmart in Las Vegas before but it was in a shady area and the store was not clean. But this walmart was a quite a drive from the Strip. We will be staying at the Imperial Palace hotel. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated?

We live in the Vegas area. My recommendation for a Walmart is to take Las Vegas Blvd (the strip) south and hit 215 (East?) towards Henderson. Get off on Eastern Ave. and there is a Wal-Mart by the exit. If you continue on 215 past Eastern you can get off on Stephanie. Turn left off the exit and a mile or so down turn right on Sunset, a Toys R Us is near the corner of Stephanie and Sunset. Further down Sunset there is a decent mall and another Walmart. Hope this helps!

There is a Toys R Us on the corner of Maryland Parkway & Flamingo that is closer than the one in Henderson. If you have a car, leave the IP through the back of the hotel; and make a right on Koval, then a left on Flamingo. When you get to the light at Maryland Parkway, make a left and the shopping center with the Toys R Us will be right there on your right. If you are taking a taxi, tell the driver "the Toys R Us at Maryland & Flamingo".

There is a WalMart at on Tropicana between Eastern & Pecos. Leave your hotel the same way; and when you get on Koval, go through the light at Flamingo & go all the way to Tropicana & turn left. Go about 3 -4 miles and after you cross Eastern, the WalMart is on your right.

Or, on the other side of the strip, at the corner of Spring Mountain & Rainbow there is a Target & Walmart at the same intersection. Leave the IP by the strip; and make a right (north on the strip). Make a left on Spring Mountain, which is the street that crosses the strip at TI, Wynn, Venetian & Fashion Show Mall (you may see a sign that says Sands Ave. Don't panic; this street changes its name when it crosses the strip). Go about 5 miles; go through the light at Rainbow then turn left where the Krispy Kreme is and the WalMart is right in front of you. There is a Sam's Club in this center also. The Target is on the SE corner of the same intersection.

Thanks so much. It is a huge help. We love visiting Walmarts and Toys r Us in the USA. They have a lot of different things that we do not have here in Canada.

What about if you don't have a car? Would love to visit Walmart (we are from New Zealand and love to look around your Walmart and pick up things for the kids etc.). Is there a walmart that isn't too far by taxi? We will be staying at the Flamingo.

The WalMart at Tropicana and Pecos is the closest WalMart to the Strip; maybe about a $15 taxi ride. There is a Target that is closer, at Flamingo and Maryland Parkway.
