Vegas Strip Hotel Recommendation

My mom, our best family friend, and myself are planning a girls trip to Vegas in November for 3 nights 4 days to take in some shows and do some shopping. None of us have been before and so we have no idea how to answer this question.

My mom has respiratory issues having weaker lungs. Walking around by taking her time is fine, but if she is in a very smoky or stuffed up room for more then two-five minutes she needs to be removed from that environment to get some fresh air. Basically just enough time to get through the casino's to the hotel areas.

Can anyone tell me which hotels have good ventilation? We would like to stay on the Vegas strip, as someone else told us that the smaller hotels off strip have lower ceilings and would probably not be as suitable. I have researched this question and one answer was "Bellagio, Paris, or Wynn". Would anyone object or suggest a different answer?

We went in December and stayed at the Venetian and it was very nice...bc it is connected to the Palazzo there are a lot of in door places to walk around where there is NO smoking! The location i found to be the least smokey was the Encore and it is gorgeous!

I would say no to Paris for actually staying... it can be smokey and lots of scents that can be irritating (scents covering the smoke....)

Wynn, Encore, Aria, all a bit spendy but also airy! Wynn has some good deals sometimes.

If you stay at the Bellagio ask to get a room in the Spa Tower, you won't have to go through the casino to get to your room. If you stay in the main tower you have a long walk to the elevators through the casino.

We love the Aria, and the walk to the elevators from the lobby isn't far and the place is well ventilated. The rooms are also very nice.

We were there in April for a girls weekend and we stayed at the Vdara. It's behind the Bellagio and connected to it by a breezeway. The Vdara isn't a casio, it's a spa so there is no smoking in the building at all. It's calm and peaceful which we greatly appreciated after so much going on on the strip.

If you're on a budget i would rec the flamingo.

I work for CET, and it's probably one of my fave properties. There's a huge outdoor area, and the pool is one of the best on the strip. It right across from Caesars (lots of shopping) and centrally located.

I would say NO to the Venetian for her because the air in the casino is VERY HEAVILY SCENTED. My mom had COPD and couldn't be around perfumes so I get it. DO NOT GO THERE!

We've stayed in Wynn, CP and many of the big name hotels. If you want the best access to the heart of the strip and a cheap way to get around (because the monorail stops there) nothing beats Bally's. Bally's has zero theme but is in the middle of it all. Also, one of the most quiet hotels due to it being less theme, although it's attached to 'Paris.'

Not to mention the walkway between Bally's and Paris.... Le Burger Brasserie. YUM!
