Hi all,
I seem to recall during my last trip to Orlando that Universal park passes were available to buy (as a sort of gift card) in most supermarkets in the area.
Has anyone seen these recently and do they offer any significant saving versus buying tickets over here prior to flying?
Thanks for reading :)

As far as I know supermarket tickets are retail price with the exception of Costco who offer a small discount.

What ticket do you want? a one day ticket is probably not worth buying anywhere but direct http://www.universalorlando.com/Theme-Park-Tickets/General-Admission.aspx
1 day ticket with access to both parks would cost $133.15 incl tax = £85

Buy in UK before you leave and you can buy a 14 day ticket for about £94, maybe cheaper elsewhere, this was 1st I checked http://www.travelrepublic.co.uk/attractions/ProductDetail.aspx?PI=700

Before buying any Universal "gift cards" at the local stores, make sure you read the fine print. Sometimes the discounted cards are only for FL residents but you won't find out there's a problem until you get to the park. If it's a really good discount, it's probably going to be for residents only...just be careful.
