This has scam written all over it

I still dont care what my reputation is it makes absolutely no since to find out a wise person once said what others think of you is not your business

Tink, you do realize that whatever email you got wouldn't really show you anything? There is no such thing as a reputation score that's anything real. There are stupid sites online that make up stuff, but don't believe any of it. It's hard to make sense sometimes of all the fake crap online. Sometimes it's best to just stay on sites you know are good, and not stray off into the wilds of the untamed internet :)

I got a phone call once, and the guy told me that I was wanted by the IRS for back taxes and to give them my social security number or the police were coming to arrest me. I said to him that if he were really from the IRS he'd already have my social security number and that I was on to him. He hung up.

There are probably a lot of people who would panic and give out their numbers. The IRS never calls you to tell you anything. They send letters.

At work a few months ago an older couple, not elderly but older, probably 60's, were walking away and I heard the man tell the woman "we just averted disaster!!" The wife asked what he meant and he said he had just received a phone call from Social Security telling him about some unusual activity with his social security number. I just shook my head and thought "oh no."

NEVER open attachments in emails from people you don't recognize. Typically, they say something of interest in an effort to get you to launch the url or attachment. Could be a scam website or some type of virus file. Simply READING an email will NOT result in a virus (another internet urban legend.)

"Reputation score" isn't real and sure sounds like the making of a scam. Some of these just want you to register on their website so they can sell your info to others who run their own scams.......LOL.

IRS will NEVER call you as the first point of contact when there is an issue.................they will mail you a letter. That scam is so wide-spread you can actually see on the real IRS website they mention to be aware of that. Funny if you don't answer your phone, the scam callers NEVER leave a message since they know you aren't going to call back.

Virtually NO legit company will call asking for your personal info.................they should already have it in their system. Bogus credit card calls can be averted by only talking to someone you get by calling the # on the back of the credit card.

Do not click the blue words and do not click the buttons in the email.
You could get a computer virus.
