Thinking of the dining plan for first time, can you pick from entire menu?

Live in Tampa. I book two separate resos for two nights. Buy Deluxe Plan for first night. Get 3 TS credits over two nights. Usually do California Grill (2 credits) and what used to be Kat Kora on the Boardwalk (1 credit). It all depends on where you use your credits in terms of if it makes sense money wise. For example, Beaches & Cream, another favorite, is also 1 credit. So you can get a steak or whole steamed fish at Kat Kora or a burger, really no different than what is served at the pool, for the same 1 credit. We only do Deluxe DP because we like the appetizers at some of our favorite places more than the entrees. Another issue when determining value is we probably wouldn't do dessert if not on the DDP. But since it's included we make the most of it and order water to drink but then coffee with our dessert. There was a time in the beginning days of the DP when you would see everyone going around with the frosted brownies in cellophane wrap. Afterall, how many frosted brownies can one eat?!
